Sawyer fixed his gaze on Sophia, sweeping up and down, stopping on Sophia's chest, looking exceptionally malicious.
"We share a really close relationship. Do you have an opinion on that, Mr. Phillips?" Charles asked, standing in front of Sophia, narrowing his eyes.
His gaze was too sharp, causing Sawyerâs neck to pull back subconsciously. At the thought of the punishment his family had given him, however, his rage overpowered his fear.
"Whether the two of you share a close relationship or not has nothing to do with me!" Sawyer snarled out, "But Ms. White has used me to deceive Master Harris, so thatâs something to do with me, right?"
When Master Harris gave his orders, he was not only reprimanded by all the elders in the family and got beaten up by his dad, but he was also placed under curfew and had his bank card frozen!
While his curfew was finally lifted recently, he could not even pay for a bottle of wine when he went out to have fun. Who knew how many people were laughing at him behind his back!
Sophia stepped out from behind Charles and said, "You have wronged me, Mr. Phillips. When I lied and said that I was pregnant, I didn't ask you to lie with me, right?"
Sawyer was rendered speechless.
It was true that she did not force him at the time. He, however, was afraid that Master Harris would blame him, hence he claimed that he had performed a pregnancy examination on her!
"You kidnapped me and tried to get those men to humiliate me and shoot a video. I didn't tell Grandpa and Charles about it, nor did I fuss over the matter."
"But now youâre blaming me instead... Mr. Phillips, donât you think youâre such a bully?" Sophia raised her voice slightly.
Charles frowned when he heard what she said. "He tried to humiliate you? And shoot a video too?"
"I wasnât planning to say this at first, but Mr. Phillips has truly gone too far!" Sophia said.
Charles turned his head to look at Sawyer, his eyes had already turned frosty. "Itâs been a while since we last saw each other. Looks like youâve gotten bolder now, havenât you, Mr. Phillips? Were the lessons I taught you back then not long enough to jog your memory?"
Normally, Sawyer would have already given in. Today, however, he had yet to vent his anger, hence he was suffocating from holding his anger back.
"Letâs focus on whatâs in front of us, shall we, Mr. Harris? Sophia is indeed in the wrong this time!" Sawyer said through gritted teeth, "Sophia, don't you dare forget, if it wasnât for my help, you would have been sent to prison by Master Harris. Do you think you can still stay out here so freely and unrestrainedly?"
Sophia sneered. "So what youâre trying to say here, Mr. Philips, is that I should be thanking you for hiring someone to abduct me?"
"Am I wrong?" Sawyer was exasperated. "I didn't even carry out my plan and ended up helping you instead. You, on the other hand, sold me out to Master Harrisâreturning kindness with ingratitude!"
Sophia was amused. "If you tried to poison me to death, but it just so happened that I was ill and the poison you served turned out to be a cure. Do you think you would be considered a doctor or a murderer?"
"A murderer, of course," Charles answered, his voice cool.
Sawyer's face alternated between red and white. He could neither outtalk the two nor outdo Charles. If a match stick was tossed into his stomach, he could blow up at once.
"Charles, you think you can do whatever you want just because the Harris family is more powerful than the Phillips family?" Sawyer was exasperated.
"You are nothing but a dog that Master Harris has given to my cousin as a pet, you..."
Bang!
Charles snorted coldly and kicked his knees, causing him to collapse to his knees at once, letting out a muffled noise.
Many people looked over. Their tongues promptly started wagging.
"Charles Harris!" Sawyer was a young and vigorous man after all. He felt humiliated from being thrown to the ground like that in public and immediately clambered up and waved his fist at Charles.
Though before his fist could touch Charles' body, Charles kicked him in his stomach, causing him to stagger and fall backward. If Justin had not come over in time to give him a hand, then he would have just crashed to the ground like that!
"Why so cranky, Charles?" Justin let go of Sawyer and looked at Charles.
Charles stuck his hand in his pockets. "Are you accusing me, Justin?"
"You are too sensitive. I was only asking." This was the Russellsâ event, hence Justin did not want to make a scene. "Saw, apologize to Charles."
Sawyer gained a firm foothold and smoothed out his suit in a wretched manner. "Why should I apologize to him? Justin, you donât even know..."
"I asked you to apologize, you hear me?" The curvature on the corners of Charlesâ mouth flattened slightly.
Seeing that he had lost his temper, he was smoking with rage inside. "I said it, I wonât apologize! I have misjudged you, Justin. You and the rest of the Harris family are just a bunch of dogs that use your power to bully others. Iâd like to see how you can keep being so arrogant when Master Harris is dead!"
He spat on the ground and was about to leave.
Charles called to him in a cold voice, "Hold up."
"What else can I help you with, Mr. Harris?" Sawyer stopped in his tracks, adjusted his tie, and asked angrily.
Charles pointed at Sophia. "If you lay a finger on her again, I will make you regret being born."
Sawyer let out two strange laughs. "Iâll be waiting for that."
Having said that, he turned around and kicked over a table next to him. The tableware clattered loudly to the ground.
Charles pursed his lips and let out an eerie smile. He fished out his phone and sent a text, paying Sawyer no attention at all.
"Saw has suffered a lot at home lately because of Ms. White, that explains why heâs a little hot-tempered. Don't mind him, Charles and Ms. White,"
Justin said.
Charles chuckled. "What a coincidence, Iâm also a little hot-tempered lately, hence we just so happened to be able to cancel each other out. This is good for both parties as we wonât be holding it in for too long and make ourselves ill."
"I get why youâre so angry, Charles. In this case, I donât think itâs appropriate for me to give any comments." Justin sighed.
Charles curled his lips. "I do want to tell Grandpa that Mr. Phillips had cursed him earlier, though."
"This is just a verbal conflict. Thereâs no need to take it so seriously, right?" The smile froze on Justin's face.
"Grandpa does pay a lot of attention to these kinds of things." Charles said, "I have no idea if Grandpa would link this to you if I told him about it, though."
Justin's face went pale at once.
"Please don't blame me if Grandpa puts the blame on you. After all, Mr. Phillips has been attacking Sophia over and over again. I donât think any man can stand it," Charles said.

ï¤Chapter 333 I Wonât Get Jealous For No Reason Justin made a rigid smile, then made an excuse and left in a hurry.
At almost the same time that he walked away, Sawyer started quarreling with several bodyguards. Sophia then saw the bodyguards lifting Sawyer up and throwing him out.
"You did this?" Sophia asked.
Charles hummed in response. "I informed Fredrickson about it."
"Are you and Mr. Fredrickson... very close?" Sophia asked.
The warm juice that Charles ordered had arrived. He picked it up and handed it to her. Fearing that she would be tired from standing, he then pulled out a chair and asked her to take a seat.
"Itâs not a question of whether weâre close or not. I can provide him with benefits, whereas he holds something that I want, thatâs all." Charles sat next to her and picked out a few snacks that were not overly sweet and put them on the plate, pushing it towards her.
The reality of the adult world had always been terrifying. Relationships formed by mutual interest were far more stable than the so-called friendship, kinship, and romantic relationship.
