Chapter 209

William Jones had not reacted to anything so far, but he was slightly agitated when he heard Sophia White’s name. He opened his mouth, as if to ask a question, but when his gaze fell onto Leah Jones, he shut his mouth. There was pain and some struggle in his eyes.

“...There’s some bad blood between Miss Lawrence and Sophia White. Why would she come today when we’ve specifically asked her not to attend?

Did any of you give her an invitation?” Leah Jones could not bring herself to say the words “grandma’, and her gaze swept across a few people. It lingered on William Jones for quite a while.

An obscure look crossed William Jones’ amber-colored eyes. “It wasn’t me.”

There was some distance between him and sister, after all.

Sophia White had wronged Leah Jones and he should not be thinking about her, nor should he had said those words to Sophia White... Leah had been disappointed with him when she heard those words. It was all his fault.

“It doesn’t matter to me if Sophia White is here, but she does not get along with Miss Lawrence. If she attends the wedding and Miss Lawrence says something to grandpa, he might not be happy,” Leah Jones sighed softly. Worry could be seen in her expression.

Just as she said this, Tiffany Lawrence, who was in her wedding dress, came running over while pulling on her dress.

She was beautiful and had a great body. The expensive wedding dress she wore and the valuable jewelry on her elevated her charisma, but the moment she spoke, the elegance built onto her with money immediately vanished...

“Leah Jones, has that damn slut arrived?”

The sight of her and the words that came out from her mouth caused the Lewis family and Mr. Jones to look unhappy. Many of the guests in the main hall looked out and even the guests who had just come out of the elevator looked at them inconspicuously.

Leah Jones frowned slightly as her gaze swept through everyone’s reaction. A depressed look flashed across her eyes and for a moment, she said nothing.

“I’m f*cking asking you something. Have you gone dumb? You stupid cripple, I f*cking got you to send Sophia White an invitation. Have you done it?”

Tiffany Lawrence held on to her dress as she gave the wheelchair a strong kick.

That b*tch Sophia White had always thought of herself as quite capable. Now, she had the opportunity to destroy Sophia White without being found guilty because she was about to marry into a wealthy family.

She wanted Sophia White here to see with her own eyes that Tiffany Lawrence was having a better life than she was. She wanted Sophia White angered to death!

The words “stupid cripple’ was like the sharpest knife, stabbing painfully into Leah Jones’ heart. She held on tightly to the handles of her wheelchair as she tried to hide the look of depression in her eyes, but her pretty face was filled with panic.

“Ah!”

The wheelchair moved backward from Tiffany Lawrence’s kick and Leah Jones called out in a flurried panic as she tried desperately to take control of her wheelchair. It could be because of her panic or it could be some other reason, but her wheelchair ended up wheeling across Tiffany Lawrence’s feet.

Tiffany Lawrence’s eye teared up in pain, “F*ck, stupid cripple, you should just die!”

She reacted by moving backward but as her dress was too long, she ended up stepping onto her own wedding dress and staggered backward as she fell with a loud bump, crashing to the floor.

Following that, the wheelchair fell sideways and Leah Jones fell onto her along with the wheelchair.

“What the f*ck!!!” Tiffany Lawrence's tone was crying with pain as she screamed herself hoarse.

Many people had walked out of the main hall to witness this drama.

“Leah, Leah, how are you feeling?” William Jones quickly came forward to grab hold of the wheelchair with a frown on his face. Worry and anger filled his amber eyes.

Leah Jones sat in her wheelchair with a ghostly pale look on her face. She forced a smile. “Don’t worry about me, Will. Check on how Miss Lawrence is doing first, otherwise...”

She stopped whatever she was saying when she saw Sophia White arrive while accompanying Charles Harris.

Sophia White was wearing a long, violet dress that pulled along the ground. Her body shape was exquisite and elegant. She had hair pulled up and had on a pair of pearl earrings hanging from her ears while a dark green jade pendant in the shape of a water drop hung around her neck.

She did not have on a lot of accessories, but she stood out by being simple yet refined, and looked noble and classy. The only imperfection about her was the few obvious scars seen on her exposed arm.

Charles Harris, on the other hand, was standing at her side in a full suit of black. His had handsome and exquisite features, looking tall and dignified with an extraordinary charm.

They looked like an exceptional match.

Leah Jones had not been completely helped up in her wheelchair as she sat sideways in it. Her fingers gripped on tight to the handle of the wheelchair when she looked up to see them both. It felt like something was stuck in her throat as she was unable to utter a word.

William Jones’ gaze swept across them and later fell onto Sophia White. Besides having his breath taken away, there were also some unexplained and confusing emotions welling up within him.

“F*cking help me up now! Can’t anyone see that I’m almost f*cking flattened to death?!” Tiffany Lawrence’s face was contorted with pain as she broke out in cold sweat profusely.

Leah Jones bit her lips as she said gently to William Jones, “Will, help me up now. If grandpa was here, it would be difficult for me to explain...”

“You’re the one bullied by this woman, not the one bullying her. Why would you need to explain? Don’t worry, I’ll tell grandpa what happened when he comes!” William Jones turned his gaze away from Sophia White and bent down to carry Leah Jones as he said angrily.

Sophia White had just arrived at the main hall when she saw Leah Jones sitting in her wheelchair while the wheelchair had fallen on top of Tiffany Lawrence.

Her lips twitched sarcastically when she heard William Jones’ words. The one who started the bullying might be Tiffany Lawrence, but now, it might be hard to tell who was bullying who.

“Charles, I’m feeling a little tired,” Sophia smiled as she looked at Leah Jones and nuzzled into Charles Harris’ arms.

Charles Harris smiled and pulled her into his arms with his hands around her waist. He passed his gift to Mr. Jones, who was standing at the side.

“Uncle Jones, you don’t look too well. Were you so excited over Master Lewis’ wedding that you weren’t able to have a good sleep last night?”

It was not really a great thing when an old man over eighty-years-old was marrying a young lady of twenty for the reason that she was pregnant with his child. Charles Harris’ words were meant to insult.

“It could be too many things to worry about the wedding that I’m feeling a little tired. Thank you for your concern, Charles,” Mr. Jones accepted the gift and passed it to the employee in charge of gift registration at the side, trying to make light of the situation.

Leah Jones was in William Jones’ arms. Her eyelashes trembled at the sight of the intimacy between Charles Harris and Sophia White.

Atrophy of Love: Mr. Harris, Stop Fooling Around!

Chapter 208 Stop Your Malicious Words She forced a smile and said softly, “Charles, I should thank you on behalf of grandpa for taking the time to be here. I was the one who sent out the invites, but I don’t remember sending one to Sophia...”

Charles Harris raised an eyebrow. “What’s wrong? Don’t I have the right to bring a female companion to attend Grandpa Lewis’ wedding?”

Leah Jones bit her lips. “That’s not what I meant. Please don’t misunderstand me, Charles. It’s just that...”

Before she could finish her words, Tiffany Lawrence had already got up from the floor. She interrupted Leah Jones with a dark look on her face. “It’s my business who I invite to my wedding. You f*cking have no right to say anything!”

With that, she ignored the look on Leah Jones’ face and walked provocatively towards Sophia White. “So what if you’ve got Mr. Harris to depend on?”

“I almost destroyed you, but you can’t even touch me. I’ll show you today how you not only f*cking failed to destroy me, but you’ll also need to watch as I marry into a wealthy family!”
