Sophia interrupted her. She looked tired like she had aged a few years in mere minutes. “Stop talking about it.”

“Sophia.” Megan was still trying to convince her. “Think about it. You can’t leave Dream Club anymore. These are all your colleagues. If you offend them, won’t your life be more difficult...”

When Sophia was about to say yes, the door of the dorm was kicked open by someone. The people who should not be here, James White and his wife, were standing at the door.

Their faces were red. However, James’ face was red with anger while Jenny’s eyes were red from crying.

Sophia was usually scared that James would have a heart attack again, so she rarely said triggering things to him. However, when she saw him speechless from anger, the weird feeling of revenge made her feel pained and gleeful at the same time.

She stared at him. “You don’t want a shameless and heartless daughter like me, and I don’t want a father who is saying one thing but means something different. I don’t want a father who only prioritizes profits, is cold-blooded, selfish, and vain!”

She did not even stop to take a breather when she said that long sentence.

Jenny ran over with her eyes red and slapped Sophia across the face. “Let go of your father and apologize to him. Is this what a daughter should say?”

Sophia did not expect her kind and docile mother to slap her. She laughed in self-mockery and swung away James’ hand. Tears welled up in her eyes. However, they went away as fast as they appeared.

She had used too much force. James was not paying attention, so he staggered backward and slammed into the table behind him.

The leg of the table rubbed against the floor and a loud crack sound in the room. The things on the table fell to the floor. Some of them even fell onto James.

Sophia looked at her with her head tilted. There was a hint of surprise in her eyes. She did not expect Megan to stand up for her.

“This is our business. You don’t understand.” James’ face was red after being criticized by Megan. He was furious but still had to watch his image. He spoke to her gently and did not lose his temper toward her.

Chapter 112 They Were All Apologizing To Sophia Jenny was unhappy with what Megan said. She wiped the tears from her eyes and came to a realization. “No wonder Soph is speaking so crudely now. She never talked back to us before this. Did you ask Soph to treat us like this?”
