No Place, Devil's Lighthouse
In No Place, it is a dark and stormy night. Lightning flashes every few seconds. The Angel's Voyage crew resides on the ship that Rusty used to locate them. Batten and Metal-Bone pull out telescopes and look through it. Ryder Sonic can be seen running over to save Dread from falling, but they suddenly disappear in a blue flash, being sucked up by the blue Shard and sent to the Void. Dread quickly gets up, looking around in confusion, while the weather lets up.
Batten, concerned, turns to her friends. "What just happened?" Metal-Bone just shrugged.
Meanwhile, on the island, Dread picks up the blue Shard, embracing it while holding it in his palm.
"I'll never let you go." Dread declares as he begins heading back over to his crew, jumping along a few cliffs and also gliding the way there. Rusty Rose, who is tied up, sees him holding the Shard.
"The Shard." She said quietly, but loud enough for Metal-Bone to hear. He looked at her with a furrowed look before turning back to his captain along with the crew.
"You alright, Cap'n?" Batten asked.
"Aye, Batten." Dread assures.
"What happened to Ryder and Sonic?" Metal-Bone asked.
"He poofed! And in a blue flash, he was gone."
"The Devil's Lighthouse!" Black Rose brings up the glowing gem in the palm of her captain's hand.
"Aye! And with this, we will reclaim the No Place seas." Dread clenches his fist.
"Huzzah!" The crew cheer in pride.
"This craft is the property of the Chaos Council." Rusty reminds them, causing Metal-Bone to roll his eyes.
"Since when do pirates care about who owns what?" Metal-Bone rhetorically asked.
"Yeah! Shut your metal gob!" Black Rose demanded.
"I will not! I was programmed by the Chaos Council with the mission to retrieve that Shard." Rusty informed them.
"And ya failed!" Black Rose reminds her.
"The council will return. You would do best to surrender to me now." Rusty said.
All of the pirates laugh.
"If this 'Chaos Council' wants to take this ship back, they're more than welcome to try." Dread runs over to the top end of the ship and jumps onto it. He looks at Rusty Rose. "You're a heck of a scrapper, Rusty. Ye'll make a fine pirate."
"I am loyal to the Chaos Council." Rusty declines.
Dread sarcastically remarks. "Then prisoner it is." Dread turns back to his crew. "Alright, crew! Let's get this metal boat ship-shaped and ready to sail!"
The crew cheers. Batten Flies down. "What about the Angel's Voyage, Cap'n?" She asks
"A good captain goes down with their ship, but a great captain steals someone else's. Ha! What be her name?" Dread asks Rusty.
"The Kraken." Rusty replies.
"Hm. Like the great beast that prevented us from reaching our goal. Befitting." Metal-Bone smirks at that.
The Kraken begins to set sail.
Dread Singing. "Oh! Who'd the scourge of the great No Place sea?"
Angel's Voyage crew Singing. "Dread! It be Dread!"

Small Island
Ryder and Sonic splash into the water. They get up, gasping for air and coughing, then Sonic brushes his fur off.
"Oh, I really thought we had it this time." Sonic groans.
"Well, at least we're alive. Now how do we find pirates in a giant WaterWorld?"
Sonic looks around a little bit. "Hmm, we need to get some higher ground." He replies.
Ryder shrugs. "It's as good of a start as any."
Sonic climbs up a palm tree. He hangs onto the side of it and looks out into the distance, until he notices the mountain where the Devil's Lighthouse was located.
"The Devil's Lighthouse!" Sonic said.
Sonic begins performing the and runs across the water, heading towards the Devil's Lighthouse mountain.
Ryder sighs. "Alright. Let's hope I had enough rest. Otherwise, this is gonna hurt." He lifts his leg and clicks on his boot, activating it and allowing him to do the Super Peel Out too, and follow Sonic.
No Place, Mothership
Suddenly, another portal opens, and coming out of it is the Chaos Council's Mothership, ready to look for the Shard. A smaller red spaceship begins taking off from the Chaos Council's.
Mr. Dr. Eggman, Dr. Babble, and Dr. Don't are on a video call with Dr. Deep, Dr. Done-It and Wrecker Rex.
"The Yolkomotive is primed and loaded." Dr. Deep reports
"Egg-cellent! We're on a tight schedule here, doctors, so no messing around. You too Android." Eggman tells them, even more harshly, to Rex.
"Don't tell me what to do! We'll get the power Shard. Don't you worry about it." Dr. Don't assures them.
"And in record time, I'd wager." Dr. Deep wagered with a smirk as
The Chaos Council's Spaceship gathers one of the Shard's energies to open another portal. They head straight through it, leaving Dr. Deep and Dr. Done-It's ship.
"If we want to find the Shard," A DNA signature of Rusty Rose appears on the computer screen. Her head begins flashing on the DNA. "We need to find Rusty Rose." Rex stares at it with a small smile appearing. His closest friend, one might say sister-figure, will soon be rescued.
The Kraken
Rusty Rose appears to be pairing with the Yolkomotive so the Council can access her location. She soon finishes pairing and looks down at Dread, but then notices Metal-Bone walking towards them.
"Black Rose! Set a course for me long awaiting destiny." Dread said with a grin.
"Aye-aye, Cap'n!" Black Rose salutes.
Sails flies up to the top of the ship. "All finished with the banners, Dread."
"Fine job, lad!" Dread congratulates after seeing the banners.
Sails Flies down to one of the cannons. "And the cannon's been locked and loaded!"
"Good! Let's go get our pirate on."
Metal-Bone just leans near the wheel for a moment before seeing Rusty staring at him. "Why do you stare at me so prisoner?" He asks with narrow eyes.
Rusty was looking at him because he reminds her of her brother-figure, but is not willing to tell him anything. "Simply to see the face of a soon-to-be-dead android pretending to be a man."
Metal-Bone looked at his servos for a moment but then shrugged. "Yesterday, I would tell you to shut your metal trap or meet my wrath. Today, I look at them with pride."
"Filthy pirates! Surrender the Shard and we will leave you with your stolen ship and your pathetic lives." The voice of Dr. Deep tells him from an approaching ship.
"The Chaos Council has come for me and the Shard, just as I said they would." Rusty tells them.
"They can have ya back!" Black Rose retorted, getting tired of her counterpart already.
"But they won't be getting any Shard." Metal-Bone said, grabbing his cutlass
Dread draws his as well. "Couldn't agree more lad! If he wants me beauty, he can come down here and take it from me!"
Dr. Deep Eagerly replies. "Bring it!"
Dr. Deep presses a button and begins flying towards The Kraken. They begin firing lasers at the crew, but they become determined and fight the Eggforcers.
Metal-Bone jumps up and challenges the Eggforcers. He kicks one of the farther ones, and launches himself towards one of the closers to stab right through it. He then is surrounded by two more, who attempt to rush him, but he manages to shrink his robotic leg and extend it to launch himself out of the way of the two, who then bump into each other and fall. He lands his sword on one of their heads and drop-kicks the other one's chest in.
"You can't have it! It's mine! Mine!!!" All of a sudden, most of the Shard's energy begins getting transferred to Dread's sword, giving him more power to fight the Eggforcers away. He does a battle cry and fires the Shard energy coming from his sword at the Eggforcers. Suddenly, he gets blasted with a laser and lands into a wall. After he falls, he loses grasp of the Shard and it begins rolling away. An Eggforcer picks it up and flies away. Dread runs up and begins threatening the doctors again.
"No! When I get me hands on ye lousy landlubbing lunatics, I'll take me sword and--" Dread begins and Metal-Bone covers his ears as Dread still yells.
"Wow, someone's gonna get knocked out one of these days." He remarked.
"Agreed." Metal-Bone turned, surprised and saw Rex standing behind him before getting hit on the organic part of his face, knocking him out. "Eggforcers! Disable their processor so they can't sail." He orders as he leaps towards the tied up Rusty Rose.
Just when the Eggforcers were flying back up towards the ship, they turn around again and begin firing lasers at the Kraken. Suddenly, a metal part near Rusty explodes and begins smoking.
Eggforcer: "All systems are fully disabled, Captain."
"Egg-cellent." Dr. Deep & Dr. Done-It say from the radio.
Rex lands near Rusty and walks towards her. "I'm here to rescue you."
"Aren't you a little short of a Stormtrooper?" Rusty snarks, referencing a movie they watched before all this.
Rex chuckles. "It is good to see that your humor circuits weren't damaged." He then closes his eyes and leans his forehead to hers, connecting them both in bond.
Just so you know, their relationship is simply brother and sister in arms. That's all. They aren't actually related, but they like to pretend they are since they have no memory of any previous family. Picture Androids 17&18. There is no romance in this story. Sorry to anyone who wanted it. But hey, wait a few months or so, and you'll get more than compensation.
"What about Rusty Rose?" Dr. Done-It asks from the radio attracting the attention of the cyborg duo.
"Leave her. She's failed us one too many times." Dr. Deep replies, shocking both of the Androids.
"What?" Rex whispers.
The aircraft begins to fly away. "Let's get a move on Rex! I'm already tired of this world." Dr. Deep orders the star-struck Rex.
"But... she-" He tries to plead but is interrupted.
"Now!" Dr. Done-It yells at him, causing Rex to wince before slowly turning to Rusty.
"Rex... please...don't leave me." Rusty pleaded, saddened by the possibility of being abandoned.
Rex tries to say something, anything to plead his case to his masters, but all he can do is give Rusty a small smile, and a pat on the shoulder. "Goodbye... sister." He then runs off and Spin-Attack Jumps his way back onto the ship with a small trail of tears leaving his eyes.
"They are...leaving me? Rex... is leaving me?" Rusty Rose said with sadness as she short-circuits.
The Void, Mothership
Inside the Chaos Council's spaceship, they receive a call. Eggman answers it. The monitor goes slightly static, but eventually turns on properly. Dr. Deep, Dr. Done-It, and Rex, while holding the Shard, are seen on the monitor.
"Fellow doctors." Dr. Deep grabs the Shard from Rex. "We have the No Place Shard in our possession. Secured in record time, I might add." He gives the Shard back to Rex, who silently rolls his eyes.
"Ugh! Those two mouth breathers are always rubbing it in." Dr. Don't scoffs.
"We're picking up a converter from New Yoke and then we're on route. Send us your coordinates and be ready." Eggman tells them.
"Affirmative! Our egg-xact coordinates are--" The monitor goes fuzzy, then suddenly cuts off.
"Transmission faulty. Repeat coordinates."
"Looks like they have a problem with their tech. What a shocker." Dr. Don't said, sarcastically.
Nine, who can be seen in the background, begins typing on a computer. "This is too easy."
Nine can hear Rory laughing from the com-link. "Amateurs. Can I come out yet? I really need to stretch my legs."
"Just a moment Rory. Just a moment." Nine continues typing.

No Place
Back in No Place, Ryder and Sonic are still running across the water, heading towards the Devil's Lighthouse mountain. They begin getting closer and closer. After they make it, they spin-dash up the mountain, then look into the distance again. They can see The Yolkomotive flying away, but also spots The Kraken as well.
"Smoke! And another Egg ship. That's gotta be Dread."
Nine calls Ryder on his Regulator. He answers the call.
"Guys! The Chaos Council have the Shard!" Nine whispers.
"Nine?" Ryder asked.
"I bought you some time. You gotta hurry if you're gonna get it back before the Mothership."
"Don't worry pal. We're on it." Ryder hangs up and gets back to running to the Kraken. When the duo reached it, he could see Dread and his crew.
"We can't, Cap'n!" Batten yells
"Yo-ho, pirates!" Sonic said. Dread hears Sonic behind him. He gets startled and throws his sword towards him and Ryder, but luckily they dodged just in time.
"Sonic? Ryder?" The Crew said, surprised.
"Why is it always Knuckles who throws sharp weapons at us?" Ryder asked and Sonic shrugged.
"You're back." Dread said.
"That's right!"
Dread Takes his sword back. "Those scurvy eggheads stole me beauty."
"We heard. Your... beauty, huh? Hmm, well, whatever you're calling it, we have to get it back, and I need your help."
Dread smirks.
"Alright, no time to waste. Let's go after them" Ryder said.
"The ship is damaged and we're not going anywhere." Sails informs them.
"I can fix The Kraken." Everyone looks at Rusty Rose, shocked that she would offer her help..
"Yeah, Rusty can fix it!" Sonic says, but then sees that she is tied up. "Wait, is she your prisoner? What about the council?"
"Aye, she's loyal to her beloved council." Batten agreed, mockingly.
"That was before they deserted me." Rusty has another short circuit. Suddenly, her robotic eye glows pink. "I will join your crew. We will make them regret tossing me aside like scrap metal."
Sonic zips over to Dread's side. Sonic gives him a thumbs-up. "Seems legit!"
"Do ye agree to follow me orders?" Dread asks.
"Aye." Rusty agrees with little enthusiasm.
"And do you swear to wreak vengeance on those who stole me beauty?"
"I... just said that." She said, still disappointed.
"Rose, cut her loose!" Dread tells her, and Black Rose goes over to cut Rusty loose.
"Yes!" Sonic does a wink and thumbs-up towards Dread. "This team's really starting to come together!" Sonic zips over to the top of the ship with Ryder following to untie Rusty..
"Hmm, his speed will be useful in getting me beauty back." Dread laughs maliciously as Metal-Bone watched skeptically.
Rusty Rose walks over to the programmer and begins typing on the screen.
"Good to be back on the same side again, huh?" Sonic said as Rusty got to work.
"It is a means to an end. I simply have a score to settle" Rusty tells him, still mad at Rex for abandoning her.
"Ouch! That hurts. She'll come around."
Black Rose and Ryder give an unamused look towards Sonic. He zips over to Rusty Rose's side and leans on the side of the programmer while watching her fix The Kraken.
"You think you can fix it?" Sonic asks.
"Definitely." Sonic's face lightens up.
"I don't know. I couldn't get it working." Black Rose said, skeptical.
"You come from a pirate era. I'm not sure that you're the best person for this kind of stuff." Ryder reasons.
"Rerouting stored energy from solar collectors to ignition systems. Overwriting safety protocols. Rebooting main drive and engine subsystems."
The Kraken begins to function again. Lights begin to come on. The Kraken's crew are delighted that the ship is finally working again.
The Kraken's crew was delighted. "Huzzah!"
"Pfft! Lucky guess." Black Rose scoffs and crosses her arms together.
Ryder pats her shoulder. "Aw, don't be like that. You're still plenty smart. Just not her kind of smart."
"Not helping."
Sonic Slightly chuckles. "You two are actually a lot alike, you know that?"
Rusty Rose & Black Rose Both in unison. "We are nothing alike!"
Batten flying, remarks: "Yeah, nothing same-y about that." Rusty & Black Rose both turn to Batten, annoyed. The ship begins setting sail.
Ryder looks at the horizon ahead with determination. "Here we go." He said.

Yolkomotive
Inside The Yolkomotive, they are both angrily fighting because of the monitor disconnecting from the video call they were having with the other three doctors with Rex being caught in the middle of it.
"Did you try--"
"Of course I tried that!"
"How about overriding the--"
"Don't you think that was the first thing I did?"
Rex comes between the two doctors as they fight. "Doctors, would it not be more advisable to focus on the task at hand and figure out the problem calmly?"
The two doctors groan for a second before backing off. "This is frustrating! I can't find a single thing wrong with it." Dr. Done-it said.
Rex scans the computer. "You are correct. The computer seems fine. Perhaps it is an external-"
Suddenly, the aircraft begins shaking. The monitor shows the aircraft on-screen, showing that one of the engines has been destroyed.
"We've been hit! What's going on?!" Dr. Deep said.
Outside of the aircraft, The Kraken can be seen shooting at The Yolkomotive.
"The Kraken?! It can't be! We left it dead in the water!" Dr Done-it said.
"Apparently, not dead enough."
The monitor zooms in on Rusty Rose. She looks up and fires a laser at the monitor, destroying it.
"Rusty Rose..." Dr. Deep said, and Rex stared in surprise, fear,... and relief. "I told you we should've taken her with us!" Rex glared at the doctor for making such a lie.
"No, you did not!" Dr. Done-It hits Dr. Deep with his walking stick.
"Well, I thought it!"
Rex turned to him. "Negative. It was you who eagerly told us to leave her behind, and now she has come seeking revenge."
"Shut up Rex! We made a mistake in not sinking them earlier, one we'll rectify at once. Eggforcers, destroy The Kraken!" Dr. Deep unleashes a lot of Eggforcers from the aircraft. They begin flying down towards The Kraken and attacking the crew. The ship narrowly misses and continues forward.
However, the Eggforcers are still determined and follow behind the ship, firing lasers at it.
"We can't get any altitude with this damaged engine!" Dr. Deep said.
"Then turn off the autopilot and let me show these rodents what's what." Dr. Done-It said, eager to drive.
"Oh... Okay, Gramps!" Dr. Deep chuckles and goes up to one of the other controllers of the aircraft. "Buckle up. I'll show you how a real pilot can fly."
"Well, I'm launching another squad of Eggforcers, then. Rex, go with em'." Dr. Done-It said, with a petty tone.
"Yes sir." Rex said, still upset as he stands up and walks to the cargo bay.
"Fine! See if I care." Dr. Deep shrugs.
More Eggforcers begin unloading from the aircraft along with Rex, who activates his jets and launches himself into the sky.
The Kraken
Inside the Kraken, Dread can be seen taking the wheel.
"Hang on to your boots! Time to get what we came for." Dread said.
Rusty & Black Rose can be seen blasting lasers at Eggforcers, taking them down one-by-one.
"Got 'em!" Black Rose said.
Rusty Rose fires at another Eggforcer and takes it down. "I have eliminated two."
They both begin firing again, slowly counting how many they have each taken down.
Ryder was surprised by their competition. "Wow. They really do have a lot in common." He points out. He then sees something. Some weird black figure. He squints his eye and sees it's Rex, using the falling Eggforcers as a cover for his surprise attack. He turns to the Roses. "Guys, watch out! Rex is here!"
Rex lands on the deck, with a face of determination. He sees Ryder and hardens his gaze. He looks back at Rusty, who is glaring, but he feels dread for abandoning her.
But before he can say anything the Yolkomotive begins to go underwater. The Kraken's crew continue to fire at it until it goes underwater.
"Hang on to yer potatoes, we be goin' in!" The ship begins to get lower and lower.
"Are we going under the water?" Black Rose realizes.
"But we're still outside!" Suddenly, time slows down. Sonic and Ryder begin to pick up everybody one-by-one and take them into the inside of the ship. Eventually, when it's time for Ryder to take Rusty inside, time speeds up.
However, she hangs on to the cannon and refuses to let go. Rusty Rose turns her head towards him. "Leave me here! I have a score to settle." She looks at Rex, who tries to get inside, and throws Rusty's legs at Rex, and slams him to the wall as the ship goes down.
Under Water
Inside the water, The Kraken goes further and further down.
Rex uses his rockets to boost himself and swim faster. He then reaches Rusty and slams himself on her. They then engage in an underwater fight. Rex blindly attacks Rusty, but she dodges with ease
She then grabbed his hands and threw him to a rock. She swims towards him to attack further. He grabs onto the rock and tries to kick her, but she dodges and knees his stomach.
She continues to beat him to the rocks as a small crater forms. He was soon able to regain focus and break free by throwing a strong punch to the face, grabbing a rock, and hitting her with it. He then charged in and repeatedly punched her in the stomach.
She then does a bicycle kick, to move him away and then stretches her arms towards the cannon at the Kraken. She then shrinks her arms back to normal size as Rex follows.
Little did he know that it was all a part of her plan. After she reached the cannon, she extended again to make herself into a slingshot, and launched herself right back at him, creating a powerful kick that put more than a dent in his chest. There was even an opening that allowed her to look inside and see a strange red glow inside. What could it be she wondered. But with him floating away so rapidly, she couldn't see what it was. But she probably would now that Rex has reawakened and is rushing at her again.

Underwater, The Kraken
"Where'd they go, where'd they go?" Dread asks.
Ryder looks around. "I know right? I can't find those Androids anywhere."
Metal-Bone turns to him. "Wouldn't the technical term be cyborgs?"
"Androids."
"I don't care what they are. I'd like to know where the scoundrels who took my beauty are!"
Metal-Bone just stared for a bit before sighing. "Can someone please hit the lights!"
Sails turns on the lights. Ryder becomes quite shocked of what he has discovered. Rusty Rose can be seen controlling the cannon, but looks ahead and even becomes shocked herself. The rest of the crew eventually become shocked.
"What is that?" Dread asks as a loop-de-loop can be seen outside the ship.
Sonic looks at it shockingly, also remembering about his original home as well just before the shattered. "Green Hill..."
Ryder looks at it shockingly too. "I... I should've known... oh hey, there they are."
The Crew look and see the "Androids" are at it again. Rex made it back and is now
Ignore the Kaioken. Rusty is Goku and Rex is Vegeta.
The ships goes straight through the loop.
"It's beautiful." Metal-Bone, ignoring the fight looks at the underwater Green Hill.
As Rusty gains distance from Rex, she realizes The Yolkomotive is right behind The Kraken.
"The Chaos Council's craft is behind us." Rusty reports to the crew as Rex notices as well.
"No!" Rex tries to rush to the door but is grabbed by the stretched hand of Rusty.
"We're not done yet "Brother"."
"Me beauty calls ta me." Dread begins controlling the ship and turns it back around, heading straight for the aircraft.
As they reach it, Rusty manages to pin Rex down with her leg and reaches the cannon.
"Eat plasma, deserters!" She begins firing at the aircraft.
Dr. Deep quickly drives the aircraft away, while The Kraken goes in the opposite direction, but turns around again and heads straight after the aircraft. Rusty Rose continues to fire at the aircraft. Dr. Deep tries his best to dodge as much as he can.
"You'll soon be in me grasp again, me beauty." Dread hakes off his fascination of getting the Shard back. "Launch the torpedoes!" Dread pushes two buttons and fires missiles at the aircraft.
The Yolkomotive quickly drives the aircraft away from the missiles, luckily missing them. Sonic sees that The Kraken is heading for another Green Hill loop. He covers his eyes in hopes that the loop won't be destroyed by any chance. Luckily, the missiles miss and just head straight through the loop. Sonic sighs in relief.
"You won't be getting away that easy, scoundrels." Dread laughs. Sonic gasps and notices that The Kraken is heading straight to the loop. Half of the loop gets destroyed, and Sonic becomes devastated.
"DREAD!!!" He yells in devastation. Ryder pats his back.
"Hey, it's not ours. We'll go home and you can loop that one." He comforts as The Kraken comes out of the water as well, flying and heading straight for the aircraft. Dr. Deep & Dr. Done-It yelp.
"Yes!" Rusty Rose begins firing at the aircraft again, but doesn't notice Rex is slowly stretching his arm towards the second blaster. Dr. Deep quickly pulls the aircraft upwards, then Dr. Done-It fires a few lasers towards The Kraken. The ship dodges every laser, and Rusty continues to fire at the aircraft. Dread pushes the ship further, along with The Yolkomotive doing the same.
"You're gonna turn, right, Dread?" Sonic notices that Dread ignored him. "Right...?"
"Wrong." Metal-Bone said.
Rusty Rose fires yet again another laser at the aircraft, and it actually hits one of the engines. The aircraft begins to fall.
The Yolkomotive crashes into The Kraken. Everybody inside the ship begin to tumble. Ryder luckily manages to hang on to a side, screaming at the same time.
Outside, Rex's hand reaches the blaster and he fires at Rusty, who is hit and falls down to the deck, freeing Rex.
Luckily, the ship manages to take a safe landing. The Hedgehogs run out of the ship, then notices The Yolkomotive. They both have a look of anger on their faces. Dr. Deep & Done-It come out of their aircraft, coughing and gasping for air.
"Crazy pirate nearly killed us!" Suddenly, Sonic jumps off The Kraken and begins running towards The Yolkomotive. They are confused on what is heading towards them.
"Huh? What's that?" Dr. Done-It puts on his zoom-in goggles, then sees that it's Sonic and Ryder. "Arrrh! It's the Hedgehogs!"
Dr. Deep, panicking turns to the Eggforcers. "The Shard! Secure the Shard!" Ryder and Sonic come up the side of the aircraft and spin-dashes onto all three of the Eggforcers standing outside. They head inside the aircraft.
"Hey!" Ryder grabs the Shard off an Eggforcer. "Got it!" The Eggforcer begins looking around in concern of where the Shard went. The duo come out of the aircraft with the Shard in hand, only to be met by an Eggforcer on the way out. However, he spin-dashes it down, then jumps onto its head and begins spinning the Shard on his finger. He laughs.
"Stop them!" Sonic jump off the Eggforcer and does a chilling pose in the air, while also looking down at Dr. Deep as well and winks at him.
Ryder then jumps off the ship with the Shard and runs back to the Kraken.
"Whoo!" Ryder cries.
"Run, rabbit, run!" Dr. Done-It fires lasers at them, which they all dodge. They begin heading back towards The Kraken.
"A little help here!" Sonic calls out as Rusty realizes what's going on and begins firing at the aircraft. Dr. Done-It gets hit and is knocked down.
"Nice shot, Rusty!" Sonic ducks to avoid more lasers being fired at him. Eggforcers begin racing after him.
"My pleasure." She is about to continue firing, but is assaulted by Rex once again.
More of the Eggforcers begin heading towards The Kraken. Over ten land onto the ship with Rex front and center. The rest of the crew come out of the ship.
"It's up to us now, me crew! Pirate like you've never pirated before!" They begin charging ahead at the Eggforcers. Batten takes down one using her sword, then Dread takes down one by punching it. Rusty Rose kicks one down. Rex then rushes her, but she dodges just in time and he ends up being intercepted by Metal-Bone, who is mutually shocked to see his face. Black Rose attacks one with her sword, while Catfish belly flops onto one. Sonic and Ryder continue to run from the Eggforcers, smiling at them as they are running away, but is suddenly kicked in the face by Dr. Deep and gets knocked into the water, Ryder dropping the Shard at the same time. Ryder gets back up, letting his shoes serve as hover crafts. He begins looking for the Shard, but then notices Dr. Deep has taken it.
"Dang it."
"Thanks, rodent. Gotta fly!" He begins to fly off.
"I am a Hedgehog and you know it!"
"Not a chance!" Dr. Deep laughs as he is flying away, but is hit by a laser that Rusty fired towards him before being successfully tacked by Rex. Deep drops the Shard and Batten grabs onto it. She chucks it over to Dread.
He becomes fascinated by it. "Me beauty...!" Dread said.
Dr. Deep Lands in front of Dread. "Not for long!" Dread & Dr. Deep begin fighting for the Shard. Ryder stops to notice The Kraken's crew fighting with Dr. Deep and the Eggforcers, then he notices that more Eggforcers are heading towards the ship. Sonic begins to spin-dash most of the Eggforcers down.
Oh yeah! Who's the king? I'm the king." Sonic begins cheering for himself as Eggforcers fall into the water around him. Dread & Dr. Deep are later on seen still fighting for the Shard. When Dread is eventually distracted, Dr. Deep kicks him. Dread loses grasp of the Shard and it goes flying. Everything goes slow motion.
"No!" Dr. Deep catches onto the Shard and begins laughing.
"So long, Captain Loser!" He flies away.
"Come back here, you yellow-bellied barnacle!" Dread yells.
Ryder and Sonic begin heading back to The Kraken, but notices that Dr. Deep is getting away with the Shard in his hands.
"Get that Shard back here, you flying beatnik!" Dr. Done-it yells as Ryder and Sonic stare in determination of wanting to get the Shard back. Ryder's ear slightly twitches, then he turns around and notices Dread is calling out to him.
"Sonic! Ryder! I got it covered here. Go after the Shard!" They nod, and begins to go after the Shard. However, he doesn't know about Dread's upcoming plan.
"That's right, fetch me precious when I turn me crew on ya to steal it back!"
Little did Dread know that Metal-Bone heard what he said and gasped.

The Yolkomotive
"And so, we bid farewell to this soggy hellscape, never to return." Dr. Deep says, dramatically, until suddenly, the Hedgehog duo approaches the ship and begins spin-dashing towards Dr. Deep. He throws the Shard over to Dr. Done-it. Dr. Deep uses the buzz-saws on his mech suit to protect himself.
"Hee-hee," Dr. Done-it points his walking cane up. "Burn that blue hamsters!"
Ryder begins to stress. "Does it have to be different every time?" He said as a nerve started to appear on his head.
The Hedgehogs manage to break loose from Dr. Deep's grasp. They spin-dashes off a wall and towards Dr. Deep, but he blocks the attack using his buzz-saws. They charge forward again, but Dr. Deep constantly dodges. After countless attempts, Ryder finally manages to knock Dr. Deep down to the ground. Sonic faces Dr. Done-It, also doing his stance pose from the same time. Dr. Done-It begins to fire up the tennis balls on the end of his walking cane with lasers, and fires them at Sonic. However, he always misses, and Sonic tries to spin-dash towards him, but is flicked away by his walking cane. He laughs, but is unexpectedly hit by Dr. Deep from behind. He lands into a wall really hard, slowly slipping to the ground. He opens his eye slightly to see what's going on and then notices Dr. Deep walking towards him once more. Ryder then grabs Sonic asDr. Done-It fires the lasers towards them, and he dodges. Dr. Deep screams with the laser being fired at him and is knocked down.
Ryder then throws Sonic, who takes the Shard from Dr. Done-It. "Yoink!" Sonic kicks Dr. Done-It's walking stick out of his hand. It lands onto his head. Sonic stands on the side of the aircraft, holding the Shard in his arm.
"Eat plasma, hedgehogs!"
"Finally! Took you long enough." Just when Dr. Done-It thought he was finally going to hit them with a laser, they dodges once more and the laser instead hits another one of the engines for the aircraft.
The Hedgehogs begin heading back towards The Kraken. Ryder turns to see that Rex is nowhere to be found. Perhaps he escaped?
Sonic then decided to run his mouth. "And that's the way it's done." The rest of The Kraken's crew look at them with angry looks on their faces. He becomes confused.
Dread points his sword towards Sonic. "He hung us out to dry. He's a traitor, me crew. Can't be trusted, just like them!" Dread then points at The Yolkomotive.
Ryder turns his attention back to them and pushes Dread's sword away. "Excuse me? You were the one who-"
Dread cuts him off. "Hand it over." Sonic looks down at Dread's sword.
"You abandoned us!" Sails accused them with a sad face.
"Ye left us at the mercy o' them robuts." Batten said, angry.
"I'll blast 'em right between the eyes." Black Rose aims her gun at them.
"Just do not hit the Shard." Rusty replies.
Sonic stares at them, confused. "I... wha... ho-- how could-- it..."
Metal-Bone stands between them. "Wait, everyone. I saw them. They were talking to Dre-"
"Silence boyo." Dread silences him and turns back to the Hedgehogs. "Last chance, Blue. The Shard or yer life!" Dread moves his sword further towards Ryder, who stares in anger.
