Chapter 98: Chapter 97 - The note

Raphael POV I wake up not knowing what time it is. Fuck I don’t even know what day it is. My head is still banging and Olivia is not in bed with me.

I grab my phone from the bedside table and I look at the time. It’s 5 Pm. It’s been ages since I slept like this. Probably the last time I was a teenager full of hormones going around.

I pass my hands through my face and I sit on the bed putting my feet on the floor.

Still a little tipsy I walk to the bathroom and when I look at myself in the mirror I take one step back.

“Shit, you look like you’ve seen a ghost” - I tell myself.

I walk to the shower and turn it on.

I walk in and the water relaxes my body and that’s when the memories from last night come rushing back.

Olivia gave me a cold shower and put me to bed. The blonde.

Shit.

I wash my hair while I try to remember what happened with the blonde. What was her name again?

Helena? Honey? I know it started with an H. Or I think it did.

The memories and her sucking Tim come rushing by and I sit on the floor holding my head trying to remember what I did last night.

Shit. Did I cheat on Olivia? Fuck.

“You are an idiot” - I say it out loud to myself.

I stand up after a few minutes and finish my shower when my stomach starts to complain that needs food.

I walk out and wrap a towel around my waist and walk to my dressing room.

I grab some black boxer shorts and a black T-shirt and dark grey sweat pants.

Once dressed I walk back to the bathroom and brush my teeth. My mouth feels so dry that it is a struggle.

I brush my hair back. Shit, I need to have it cut. I am looking like a fucking emo boy.

I walk out of the bedroom and into the kitchen to find it empty.

Shit, I forgot that Mike is with Maria in her flat. I make some coffee and order some greasy pizza. I need some comfort food.

Walking back to the living room and taking a seat on the sofa I grab my phone and I call Olivia.

“Good afternoon sleepyhead” - she says “Hi. Where are you?”

“Out”

“Yeah, where?”

“I’m with my brothers and Anna” - she says and I instantly feel bad because I am taking her away from them.

“Are you going to belong?”

“Do you mind if I stay for dinner?” - she asks and I take a deep breath.

“It’s fine” - I tell her.

“I am all packed” - she says and that takes me by surprise.

“Oh, okay.”

We stay both in silence for a little bit, things are still awkward between us since our argument yesterday.

“Raphael?”

“Yes?”

“I am sorry” - she says and I smile.

“I am sorry too, I shouldn’t have left and I shouldn’t have assumed you would just pack and go”

“Hey, I know why you are doing this” - she says “You know I love you right?”

“I do” - she says and I take a deep breath “I’ll see you later” - she says “See you later love”

I turn the calm off and the tv on. Nothing is catching my attention but I just leave the tv on.

“Boss” - I hear from the entrance and I stand up walking towards the voice “Your pizza is here boss” - my guard says “Thanks” - I say taking the pizza box and walking to the kitchen.

I put the pizza down and when I open the box there’s a note attached to the box.

What the fuck.

I grab the note and there it is again “Une vie to pour une vie” - and a photo of Maria with Mike. They are in the park and I can see my men around them but they still took a photo of them.

Fuck.

I grab my phone.

“Hello” - Maria answers.

“Bring Mike home right now”

“But we have the guards”

“I said right now”

“Sure” - Maria relies and I end the call.

Immediately I call Joseph that answers straight away.

“Boss”

“Got another one, on my fucking pizza box”

“Fuck”

“What did it say?”

“The same but had a photo of Maria and Mike today in the park, she is bringing him home right now”

“You need to leave fast” - Joseph says “Get the plane ready for midnight. I am not waiting any longer. I need to get them all safe”

“Sure” - Joseph says and we end the call.

I walk to the dressing room and I start packing my cases. When I finish I pack another one for Olivia, we might be staying longer than planned”

When I finish I walk out of the dressing room carrying the cases and I put them near the door.

“Take them to the SUV” - I tell Robert that is now standing near the door.

“Boss”

I walk back to the living room and I call Olivia.

“Hey, I need you to come home” - I tell her “But dinner is not over”

“Olivia please” - I say “What happened?” - she asks “We need to go sooner than planned”

“Okay, I’ll be home in one hour” - she says “Okay, I love you”

“I love you too” - she replies and then ends the call.

Not long after Maria walks in with Mike and I take him from her and I kiss his head.

“What is happening?” - she asks “We’re going to Italy today”

“You can’t take him like this”

“Yes I can”

“But” - I cut her off.

“You are more than welcome to join us Maria, but never assume I will leave him with you when I need him to be safe”

“I’ll go pack” - she says and I nod my head walking to Mike’s room and getting his diaper changed.

I start packing some stuff for him but I don’t worry too much as I’ll buy everything I need there.

“Raphael?” - I hear Olivia and my heart starts beating fast.

“Here” - I say and Olivia walks in and hugs me.

“Why are we leaving so soon?”

“You know the notes. I got another one with Mike’s photo”

“Shit” - she says “Yeah”

“Okay, so is Joseph looking after everything?” - she asks and I nod.

“Who is looking into the french?” - Olivia asks “Robert and Joseph, why?” - she asks “John’s boyfriend is a hacker and he might be able to help” - she says and I think about it.

“We will talk about that later” - I tell her placing a kiss on her lips. Fuck this woman is so sexy.

I know now for sure that I haven’t cheated on her. I would never be able to. She is just too perfect for me to be doing that.
