As Reena returned home after the enchanting dinner with Aryan, her phone buzzed, indicating a call from Mrs. Kapoor. Answering with a mix of anticipation and curiosity, she listened to Mrs. Kapoor's words.
Mrs. Kapoor: Reena, I just wanted to let you know that I'm happy with your performance tonight. You handled everything quite well. Aryan is on the 7th heaven since he returned home. He isn't talking about anything except you. I haven't seen him any happier.
Reena: (grateful) Thank you. I'm doing my best.
Mrs. Kapoor: Good. Remember, the key here is to keep Aryan happy and blissfully unaware of the truth. The more you can maintain this facade, the smoother everything will go. Any chance of him knowing the truth is not good for you. Remember to maintain your life as a girl at every given moment until Aryan have his last breath.
Reena: (nodding) I understand. I'll do whatever it takes. But how to I manage people around me? What do I tell them why I suddenly living this way? It's not like I can hide forever.
Mrs. Kapoor: Excellent. Mmm... your problem is real though. Let's shift you a new location much better than this where nobody knows you.
The call ended, leaving Reena with a sense of duty and a newfound understanding of the delicate balance she needed to maintain.
As the call with Mrs. Kapoor concluded, Reena's mom, standing at the door, couldn't help but overhear the conversation. Her expression bore a mix of curiosity and concern. As the call ended, she entered the room, wearing a gentle smile that concealed a multitude of questions.
Mom: (playfully) Well, well, Reena. What was that all about?
Reena: (hesitant) Oh, just some guidance for this whole charade and can you please not call me that. It's really strange.
Mom: (raising an eyebrow) Isn't this the name you choose yourself and convinced us to follow as well?
Reena: Yeah, I know but still it's really hard. You know I don't like this makeup and stuff and these clothes are really hard to manage. Besides, Aryan is really a good guy any girl would want as husband and I genuinely wants to help him, of course, money as well.
Mom: Well, you heard your "GUIDE" not to lose your feminity at any moment. Tell me about your DATE.
Feeling the weight of her mom's gaze, Reena sighed and began to recount the details of the dinner with Aryanâthe laughter, the flirtatious banter, and the effort to maintain the facade. As she spoke, her mom listened intently, absorbing every nuance of the tale.
Mom: (smirking) I never thought I'd be asking my boy dressed like this about the details of a date with a boy. Times have certainly changed.
Reena, relieved that her mom seemed more intrigued than upset, smiled back.
Reena: It's not a date, Mom. It's all part of this complicated situation.
Mom: (softly) I know, dear. Just be careful, okay? And if you ever need to talk about these things, well, I guess I'm open to it now. And don't lose yourself in it while maintaining your mental health. It will take either take a lot of toll on you or I will lose my son to that boy as his wife.
Reena: I. Am. Not. Becoming anyone's wife.
Mom: (Laughing loudly) Every girl says the same. Ha ha ha...
As they shared a moment of understanding, Reena's mom acknowledged the complexities of the situation, realizing that the roles they played in each other's lives were evolving in ways she had never anticipated.
Scene: Ravi's Gym
Varun and Riya, noticing Ravi's absence at the gym, grew concerned about their friend's sudden departure. Wondering about the reasons behind this unexpected change, they decided to contact Ravi to get some clarity.
Varun: Hey Ravi, we noticed you haven't been at the gym lately. What's going on?
Ravi: (hesitant) Oh, hey Varun. Yeah, I left the gym recently.
Riya: (curious) Why? Everything okay?
Ravi: (pausing) It's a long story. Can we meet somewhere to talk about it?
Sensing the gravity of the situation, Varun and Riya agreed to meet with Ravi to unravel the mystery behind his departure from the gym. As Varun and Riya gathered at Ravi's house, they were met with an unexpected sight. Ravi, now transformed into Reena, faced their inquisitive gazes.
Riya: Hi, Is Ravi home? We were supposed to meet him right now. Are you his cousin? You look a lot like him.
Reena: (hesitant) Hi guys, Ah mmm.. actually ravi is not here anymore. Mmm he.. he.. actually
Varun: (surprised cuts her line) Ravi, it's you? What's happening? Why are you dressed like this?
Riya looks at Ravi more carefully and realizes the truth as well. Ravi, now Reena, took a deep breath, deciding to share a portion of the truth while carefully avoiding certain details.
Reena: It's a complicated situation, guys. Mrs. Kapoor, Aryan's mother, asked me to be Aryan's girlfriend until... well, until he's no longer with us.
Riya: (shocked) Aryan's what? Why you?
Reena: It's hard to explain, but there's a reason she chose me for this role. I can't go into all the details right now.
Varun: (confused) But, Ravi, why are you doing this?
Riya: Why you, Ravi? What's so special?
Reena: (nodding) You were right, Riya. Aryan has developed feelings for Reena, and his mother, Mrs. Kapoor, believes I can bring him happiness.
Varun, still puzzled, joined the conversation.
Varun: But why are you doing this, Ravi? It seems like a lot.
Reena: (crafting a convincing excuse) Well, you know how I've been struggling financially. Mrs. Kapoor is offering a substantial compensation for this, and it's an opportunity to secure my future. I can't let go of such a chance.
Reena's explanation, while leaving out the true extent of the financial arrangement, provided a plausible reason for her involvement.
Riya: (now excited) So that means we can go shopping together now. Right? I really needed a partner in my crime.
Reena: You know I am still a boy inside. I don't like all this shopping stuff.
Riya: Oh, Reena, you have just entered the world of girls. You don't know how much fun it is. And there is no girl in this world who hates shopping and soon you would be no different. I promise.
Reena sign in defeat and the trio starts laughing.
Riya: On serious note. If you are doing this for Aryan, I am really grateful to you. You are really too kind and you must learn makeup skills and dressing skills and hairstyles and oh don't forget all the jewelry. Hey, do you have a saree. A saree will suit you too perfect but I warn you, your boyfriend can die just by looking at you.
Varun: Can you stop teasing him?
Riya: Her and no I am just speaking truth.
Reena pats her hand on her head looking at both of them and offers tea to both of them. Seriously speaking, if Varun didn't know Ravi as a boy he would be dying to make Reena her girlfriend.
