Chapter 192
Actually, hisque of lobster wasnât too bad, but ever since Lorna took charge of the household, sheâd gotten into the habit of cooking bisque of lobster
Since thatâs the case, the didnât want to have extra when sheâs eating out
âNo, thanks,â she replied with a dismissive wave and dove back into her pork ribs
Sweetheart let out a derisive short and drawled, âDonât tell me you donât know what bisque of lobster is? It tastes so goodâ
Cordelia ignored her, but Everard languidly said to Sweetheart, â
might want to have an extra servingâ
Sweetheart was taken aback, then, catching the implication, bristled, âYouâ
Everard paid her no mind and continued serving Cordelia, who ate with gusto. Sheâd been studying all afternoon and was famished!
From the moment Cordelia walked in, Loganâs gaze been fixed on her. He was still trying to regain his composure
Cordelia was just so pretty. And her aura, her skin- unlike normal teenage girls who looked naïve and childlike, she seemed wellâgroomed, if raised with the utmost care.
Logan cleared his throat, subtly adjusting the sleeve of his shirt to flash the watch on , seeking to command some presence in front of Cordelia.
An onlooker caught his display and couldnât help but comment, âIs that an Omega watch on your wrist?â
Logan cracked a smile..
âThat watch mustâve cost you a pretty penny. Jungler.
really splurge, donât ?â
The conversation then shifted to Sweetheart, who was flaunting a clover charm necklace. âIs that a Van Cleef?â
She nodded, showing off a matching bracelet. âA set.â
The onlooker whistled appreciatively. âThat setâs gotta be in the tens of thousands, easy!â
Sweetheart looped her arm through Junglerâs, purring. âA gift from my boyfriend
âJunglerâs so generous!â
âDropping tens thousands like itâs nothing!â
âJungler, youâre pulling in millions a month now, right? Thatâs tens of millions a year. Bought yourself a house yet?â
Basking in the compliments, Logan simply smiled, âSure did.â
Then, he turned to Everard, âLearnerâs boyfriend, you like youâve graduated, right?â
Everard had sensed where this was going. As the group gossiped about Junglerâs affluence, he slowed down his serving to Cordelia and drawled, âYeah, I own a little shop.â
âA shop? What kind? A convenience store, or what?â Logan pressed.
Everard was about to respond when Cordelia sharply interjected, âWhatâs it to you?â
Logan was taken aback, even Everard looked surprised before shot him an encouraging glance. She then calmly passed him a piece of steak, âEat up.â
Everard was momentarily confused but decided to focus on his meal.
Sweetheart chimed in with a snide tone, âLearner, weâre just curious about your boyfriendâs business. If we know, we can help advertising it, since weâre all from Greenmeadow.â
Cordelia frowned at the insinuation.
The crowd egged on, âYeah, whatâs he selling? We can help boost his business!â
âIf you wonât say, is there something shady?â
âNo shame in it, even if itâs just a street stall or veggie stand. Just tell us, we wonât laugh!â
âWhy so secretive? What canât you share?â

Cordeliaâs frown deepened. And as Logan saw her discomfort, he hastily intervened. âAlright, letâs drop it. My badâ
He shifted topic, âHow about a drink?â
âSure, but can you handle it, Jungler? You drove your Benz here, right? I saw it outside.
Logan just smiled, âNo worries, Iâll call for a driver. Waiter!
When the waiter came in response, Logan ordered, âBring the wine list.â
Once the wine list was handed to Logan, he scanned the prices, not surprised by the steep figures at the Sapphire Sojourn Hotel. A bottle of decent wine cost thousands, and the premium ones, tens of thousands
Though Logan was making good money streaming these days, the price tags still stung. He pointed to a fiveâfigure bottle. This
one.â
âRight away, sir.â
After the waiter left, one of the streamers beside Logan exclaimed, âJungler, a bottle worth ten thousand! Impressive!
When the wine was served, a young streamer stood to pour for everyone. As he reached Everard, he quipped, âA sip of this is like a hundred bucks. Weâre not drinking wine; weâre drinking money!â
After finishing his tease, he sidestepped Everard with a wink, âBuddy, I figure this kind of booze might not be your cup of tea, so I wonât pour you one!â
Laughter erupted from the crowd.
Jungler, however, couldnât actually let it slide since he was still live streaming.
âCut it out,â he said with a grin, playing along.
The young streamer was just about to pour a drink for Everard when the door to the private room suddenly swung open.
Everyone paused, turning their heads, only to see a tall, redâhaired youth standing at the entrance. He was holding a bottle of liquor, and his piercing, upturned eyes gave him an air of defiance.
âLooking for someone? Or did wander into the wrong party?â Jungler called out.
Yates sauntered in, making his way to Cordelia and Everard, âLia, bro, brought you guys some real wine.â
After casting a dismissive glance at the bottle in the streamerâs hand, he said with an impudent smirk, âWell, you werenât wrong, this isnât really my broâs style.â
With that, he set his own bottle on the table.
