Chapter 8.
Prince Ehann and prince Timothy were walking along the pathway in the garden talking about how tim hasn't been able to woo a lady in months. How his 'charms' weren't 'working' anymore and that he's lost his sparkle.
Timothy had begged the prince to chat with him, he wouldn't stop whining if he had said no, blabbering of about how they barely talk anymore these days and how busy he's been with paperwork.
The prince never had this kind of trouble, only because he was the youngest of the three he'd have more free time than his siblings.
"I heard another Royal family will visit our kingdom this week" snitched Timothy
"Really?"
"Yes really, i heard father and mother talking about it in the spa room.. she said they might have a girl around you age~" teased the older prince
"Well isn't that fun." Sighed the younger one.
"They should actually arrive at any moment by now, look at you! You might actually woo a lady" Timothy cried.
"I'm so proud of you bro" he sniffles
"I haven't even met her yet, don't get too emotional" the prince sighed.
"I never imagined that this day wouldn't be so peaceful as i wanted"
"One day you'll be doing paperwork for me my brother" Timothy laughed.
"You children grow so fast n' so quickly" he says sarcastically
"We're only one year apart brother, not much of a difference..?" The younger prince questioned.
"Oh for Marble's sake would you let me be sarcastic for once?" Timothy rolled his eyes.
"I'm hungry, want to steal some scones from your talented butler?" Whispered Timothy on his brothers ear.
"I've got nothing else to do, so why not."
The younger prince didn't even bother to argue with his brother, knowing he would convince him to do so anyway, or have him do it without him being conscious of it. He swears it's some type of older siblings logic he just simply won't understand.
As they were walking by the entrance of the castle, Timothy cought a glance if the painting his brother had made a few days ago.
He grabbed poor Ehann's arm and ran towards the painting, almost crashing into it if it weren't for the chairs infront of it.
"Did you do this??" Questioned Timothy while looking at the painting with amaze.
"I finished it a few days ago, i didn't sleep for a week when I was making it" the prince laughed.
"Who's the pretty boy in your painting?" Timothy nudges Ehann's shoulder.
"The boy who showed me the way back to the town, you left me behind while attempting to charm the ladies you first saw" the prince shuddered.
"Why did you add him in the painting then?" Timothy doubted, looking at his brother.
"None in particular." The prince whispered, looking away from his brothers intense stare then looked at the painting.
"Is there something wrong with it?" He worried
"Nothing's wrong, I'm actually happy that you have a friend" Timothy laughed, looking at his brother.
"Look at you snatching both genders" teased Tim.
"When di-"
"Race you to the kitchen!" Shouted Tim as he ran, getting ahead start.
"That's not fair!" Ehann shouted back, quickly catching up to his brother.
As they were both running, they felt like 5 and 6 again, running through the halls with no worries at all, no concerns for the future ahead of them, no worries for an enemies attack.
Just... Laughter's and giggles here and there, constantly racing eatchother for scones one of the older maids used to make for them.
It all felt nostalgic for them, but in a very pretty way. It wasn't long before they both made it to the kitchen first.
"I won!" Wishper shouted Tim.
"No way, you didn't see correctly!" Ehann shouted back.
"I'm not the one with glasses!!" Tim cried
They both fell silent, then suddenly laughed at how they were acting, arguing over such a silly thing.
They both entered the kitchen, crawling through the floor, in hunt for the strawberry scones they smelled close.
"Just come out already before i change my mind" laughed the butler.
Both princes popped they're head over the counter, surprised he heard them, it didn't take them long before all the scones were gone.
They ran away from the kitchen, laughing like little kids while stumbling on their feet, they soon came to a stop to catch they're breathe.
"Want me to teach you how to paint?" Laughed the prince.
Timothy's eyes brightened, then they started to water, he laughed.
He laughed with happiness in his voice, the prince was clueless of why he started crying so suddenly, but he knew it wasn't a joke, it was just pure happiness.
"Can I take that as a yes?" Laughed the prince.
"You're so clueless kid" Tim laughed, wiping his eyes off.
Then they both walked towards the art room, both tired to run any longer, also seeing how the room was just infront of them.
As they both entered, Timothy looked at the walls, filled, filled with beautiful scenery's, and buckets filled with paints and a board with dry paint on it, sitting on a stool.
"I never really entered this room before did i?" He laughed.
"Now that you mentioned it, no. No you haven't" the prince reassured.
"So how do you do it!!" Tim cheered.
Both boys then attempted to paint, one laughing at their stick man in a dress while the other stressed, blabbering of how it's a waste of canvas and how he would have to go in town to buy more, he didn't hate the idea for some reason though.
Nevertheless none of them wanted the day to end, they were both way to happy to be mad, let alone at eatchother.
