{ Aelius }
Chapter 30
It's been a month now.
.
..
It's been a month..
.
......
A month...
And he's going crazy.
Not that he's impatient, of course.
He's just been feeling a tad bit...
It's just been a while since he's seen the love of his life, and he's growing kind of nervous and he doesn't know what to do and his prince won't even send a letter and he fears he won't everbeable to speak to him again! And.. well, it's easy to guess buy now how he's feeling.
His prince's marriage with that.. that princess is all this towns ever talked about.
He knew there was going to be something between him and her, just didn't think it was her hand for marriage.
And he hated looking at her so close to him. He knew things weren't ever going to get resolved just by not talking to eatchother, he had to do something.
And just by looking at his bedroom ceiling wasn't going to fix anything, oh that would be wonders if just by looking at the ceiling could fix everything.
He sighed and stood up from his bed, he hadn't slept the whole night because even though he hasn't seen the prince a whole month, a part of him still hoped that he would have gone to him.
But only disappointment came to him.
Understandable, of course.
The prince has more important things to do now that .. he's marrying a princess.
He's not salty about the situation, not entirely.
But for the most part he's scared, scared of what comes next. You never know what could happen.
He fears that in a blink of an eye everything that he's ever experienced with the prince would disappear.
And that he would never feel what he'd felt with the prince with anyone else. Sure he's dated his share of ladies, but never had he felt the thrill, emotion, and happiness that he's felt with Ehann.
He can loose anyone, litterally anyone, but not Ehann. Never Ehann. He couldn't live without him. Simple as that.
If only he were a prince, maybe then things would be easier, maybe then they wouldn't have to hide the relationship they've had for that last year.
Maybe then, he wouldn't be feeling what he felt right now.
"Aelius?" His sister called from outside his door.
"...Yes?"
"Come outside, you're gonna help me go shop."
He could feel the proud smile she had just by the tone of her voice, just by thinking of it made him go into a more depressed state.
He hasn't left his room in 5 days in hopes for the prince to randomly arrive, so why stop now just to shop? He groaned in defeat.
"C'mon Aelius, this girl isn't gonna wait all day." She cackled.
"Alright coming, just let me get ready."
"I'll be waiting in the living room."
"..K "
Aelius sighed and stood up. What he was doing was very irresponsible. And very childish. Not to mention unproductive.
For once, he tried to live a little, maybe just maybe. He could move on?
..Fat.
... Chance.
Hell just enjoy himself a little for the day, and try not to think of the prince for once.
He changed his clothes and ran out to the living room, all his family was sitting down reading newspapers or running around chasing eatchother.
It was a calm day to say the least, no one was so busy to leave the house, and no one had anything important to pop up in the day.
So they just sat.
Aelius looked around the living room searching for his sibling, and she stood next to the doorway staring at the clock on the wall.
"Nia!" He called.
She looked at him directly, then smiled and opened the door of the entrance.
----
"So what are you shopping for?" He questioned.
"New clothing." She sighed.
"Our parents arranged a date for me with some guy i don't know."
He stopped walking and stared at her in shock. She going on a date with a random guy? Is he even a good person in general?
Has his parents even considered the consequences? He stared at the ground and sighed, he's been thinking of a lot of things lately. And he didn't want to add another thing to think about.
"Well, let's make sure that random falls head over heels for the prettiest girl in the kingdom." He smiled.
Nia giggled and elbowed her brother in the arm, making him hiss in pain but quickly join in the laughter.
"So which shop first?"
"Let's go to that fancy one over there."
Nia pointed at a very big shop at the center of the town, it had a nice view to the fountain and garden of the area.
..And looked.. expensive.
"And who do you expect to be paying?" He questioned her, looking at her up and down.
"Obviously, the man pays for the lady." She hummed.
"So you just expect me to casually bring all my life savings everywhere i go?"
"..If so, then you're correct." He rolled his eyes.
"It's why i choose you to accompany me." She Snickered.
"This way i can spend you're money without any remorse."
Aelius blankly stared at her in shock, a part of him told him to just runaway from her and save his money from that mean monster. But the other wanted her to appear on that date like if angel flew to Earth and took that man's heart away from him.
And of course, who doesn't want their sibling to look like an angel everywhere they go?
"Alright, but let's hurry before i change my mind."
----
Carrying boxes and following her everywhere they went was a workout he wasn't prepared for.
But he had to keep it up for at least one more store. Even if it meant to add one more box to the boxes he already held.
For the meantime, he tried to think of other things, like how cloudy it was that day, or how calm the town was compared to other days.
"One more store!" Nia called out.
Aelius mentality groaned in desperation, his arms couldn't hold on for any more boxes even if his life depended on it.
One more box and his arms would give out. Nia glanced at her brother, then giggled and shaked her head.
"It's a letter store, no more boxes i promise." She smiled and pointed up ahead.
Aelius placed the boxes down in a stool and delightfully sighed, he inspected the store and all it's racks of paper designs, shades, types of envelopes, and stamps.
The store smelled like fresh coffee, and a very cozy environment.
Then an idea popped on his head, he would write a letter to the prince.
But how would he do it? It had to look like a normal letter but distinct from any other. And he couldn't just write that it was from him.
He looked around hurriedly, and settled in a pearly white envelope with a gold scattered paper. He borrowed a pen from the store owner and wrote inside it.
'ðð®ð®ð½ ð¶ð® ð²ð· ð½ð±ð® ð¯ðµð¸ðð®ð»
ð°ðªð»ðð®ð· ðð® ð´ð·ð¸ð.'
-A
He stared at his letter is sadness, closed it, then placed it inside the envelope.
"Who's it for?" Nia asked.
Aelius jumped in shock and stared at her in horror. Then unsuccessfully hid his letter behind his back.
Nia stared at him dumbfounded. "Really?" She questioned.
"It's nothing, don't bother." He stuttered rather harshly than he intended.
"Okay.. it's nothing then." She frowned.
Aelius picked up the boxes and was first to head out the shop, he stared at the piles of envelopes placed outside the shop.
He debated wether he should leave his on the pile, then from the corner of his eye, he saw his sister walk out fton the shop. So fastly, he placed the letter down and walked home.
----
Aelius paced back and forth in his room, by now the letter should have arrived at the castle and handed to the prince.
He knew he had to arrive at the flower garden earlier than the prince, but his body just couldn't move from that room.
And overthinking about it didn't help him either, like what if the prince decides he won't go? Or he ripped his letter in pieces and burned it in a fire? He doesn't hate him right? Why would he even hate him he hasn't done anything wrong right?
All he's been is a loving guy appreciating his beautiful prince. Right?
Okay sure, he's been selfish. Obviously. But that didn't cause anything bad right?
He's already changed his attire, and he's fixed his hair. All he needs to do now is pick up the bouquet he had asked a few hours back and walk inside the forest before the prince does.
Easy, easy.
It's all alright, nothing horrible will happen, it's not like the prince would break his heart within a life span of a breath, right?
"Where are you going?" Toah questioned.
"Meeting a friend." He smiled.
He opened the door, and headed out. The shop wasn't far from the forest so it was just an easy grab and go.
A part of him felt terribly scared, of litterally even looking at the prince. Then the other half, wanted to kiss the living hell out of him. It all made his stomach turn and it made him second guess his decision.
But he had to know something, it's been a month and a half now. Ignoring eatchother.. won't technically fix anything.
Maybe, just maybe. He might have just fixed their relationship with this letter.
So he had hope.
The flowers he's chosen for him were this beautiful burgundy colored bouquet, he didn't know why he wanted to buy those, maybe its because they matched the color he wore at the ball? Or maybe that time he saw this specific rose the moment he became his lover?
He stopped walking, and looked at the flowers. Maybe he won't like them? Maybe he should have just gone with the white flowers, it's the safest option.
He should have played it safe, what if he hates him? Even if he tried to go back and change them, it was too late and a waste of money.
And suddenly, the forest looked extremely intimidating to enter. His legs started to wobble and his arms were stiff as stone. He almost felt like collapsing to the ground, but if the worm next to him wiggled their way into the forest's leaves without hesitation.
Then he can also walk into the forest.
So he did exactly that.
He had everything ready, the bouquet in his hand. His speech ready, his clothes well done, and almost thought of every good possibility there is.
He was fine. Happy. Content.
Aelius looked at the scene Infront of him, how the trees moved with one another, how the firefly started flickering here and there, it was all good.
He felt at ease.
"Hey" he heard a faint voice call.
He turned around, and smiled.
"Hey"
