"ANOTHER WIN BITCHES!!!" Everyone walking past us cheered at Nova's enthusiasm.
The four of us, including June, were waiting near the football locker room waiting for the guys to come out.
"So...Gray gave you his jersey," June nudged at me with a big grin. I huffed and rolled my eyes before responding, "We're just friends."
"Sure," the three of them said, dragging out the 'ure.' Just as I was going to say something, the locker room door burst opened startling everyone from the loud sound it made when hitting the wall.
"We won, we won, we won," Alex sang those words and did a funny victory dance, similar to the one he did on the field twenty minutes ago. I giggled at his actions and so did everyone else.
Not even two seconds June ran up to Landon and threw herself on him, he stumbled a couple steps back but then he wrapped his arms around her and they shared a longing kiss.
Alex walked up to Cami and picked her up and they just hugged like that with Cami's long legs dangling in the air. Damien and Nova just shared a quick side hug and her congratulating him on the win. I honestly have no idea what's going on between these two, last week I saw them snuggling against each other on the couch watching a movie and now they can't even look at each other.
Weird. Weird indeed.
I scanned the big crowd that was surrounding the locker room door looking for a brown curly hair loser. I caught sight of him talking to his coach and some other big giant dudes who were probably some of his classmates, but his gorgeous eyes were already staring at me, my smile widened. Grayson dismissed himself from the conversation and was heading my way with lopsided smile. I took a couple steps until I saw a pair of arms wrapping themselves around Grayson's torso. My heart dropped when I saw a flash of blonde hair.
Grayson's face went from happy and relaxed to startled and angry. It was Raelyn. His ex-girlfriend. They were making small talk but Gray looked very frustrated. I looked around at my surroundings and saw June looking at me and then to Raelyn, furrowing her eyebrows. She gave Landon a kiss on the cheek and walked up to me leaving him to go talk to others.
"What the fuck is she even doing here?" June asked with a little snarl in her voice.
"Honestly, have no idea. She'd DM me a couple days ago to back off of Grayson."
"Shit" she said under her breath.
"Do you know what happened between them?"
"It's not my story to tell. I'm so sorry, I know Gray will tell you when he's ready."
"Don't apologize, I completely understand. I'll talk to him later."
I looked back at Raelyn and Grayson, she laughed obnoxiously at something he said but I assumed it wasn't anything funny since Grayson's face was emotionless. He had enough and just walked away from her while she was in mid-sentence. I saw she gave a glare at turned on her heels and walked away sway her hips kind of violently.
She's gonna break her hips, I swear.
I knew someone that I went to high school with and she fractured her hips from a car accident. And to this day, no one ever saw her again. Dun dun duuuuuuuun.
I'm just kidding, it was a dumbass named Camryn Woods. Well what else do you expect from a blonde.
No offence to the blondes out there. Love y'all.
He saw me staring at him and gave a small smile and wrapped his arms around me with his head in my neck and my chin on the top of his soft, fluffy brown hair. It smelled nice.
"Everything okay?" He responded with a little nod. I lifted his head from my neck and put both my hands on his cheeks.
Face not the booty...yet.
I made him look into my eyes before asking again, "Are you okay?"
"No."
"Okay, then lets go get ice cream to cheer you up...totally not cause I want some to." Grayson chuckled then reached out and interlocked our finger together and waved at the rest of his teammates he was leaving, then walked to his car. I already told Cami, Nova, and June we were hanging out tonight and probably not going to the party.
"...then he waddled away, waddle waddle, til the very next day. Bum bum bum bum ba-bada-dum..."
"Are you fucking singing the The Duck Song?" He asked teasingly.
"And what about it loser?"
Grayson reached over and took his pointer and middle finger and pitched my nose. I glared at him and he just gave an innocent smile.
I connected my phone's bluetooth to his car and searched up the 'Duck Song' on Youtube. Throughout the ride to the ice cream parlor, I karaoke to the song with Grayson mumbling some parts of the song. I caught him a couple times and nudged him but he just flipped me off and then started smiling like a kid ready to open present on Christmas.
Near the end of the song we started singing very loudly, "Then he waddled away, waddle waddle..."
"That was very energy consuming." I said out of breath. I looked over to Grayson wondering why he just got all quiet when we were literally singing our hearts out a minute ago. He was staring at me as usual with a small smile.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Stop that." I went to use my hands to cover my face, but he ripped them off and leaned forward and instantly connected our lips.
It was a passionate kiss as we both fought for dominance, obviously he won. I felt his tongue rub against my bottom lip asking for permission but I wanted to tease him, so I denied. He wasn't happy about so he squeezed me at the waist which made me yelp and he smoothly slipped his tongue into my mouth.
Smooth. Like butter. Like a criminal undercover. Oh my gosh stop.
One of Grayson's hands made its way to my neck, squeezing it lightly. I pulled slightly away, "Kinky, I see."
Me likey.
He chuckled and connected our lips once again. He tasted every inch of my mouth making me moan. We both pulled away and slowly smiled at each other, no doubt my cheeks are a blushing mess.
Grayson hopped out of the car and made his way to the passenger side and opened the car door. He took my hand to help me get out of the car, once I was down he leaned in and gave my lips a little peck which resulted in me smiling into the kiss.
"Ice cream now?" He asked.
"Yes."
