A Beat To Live

Millions of Filipinos working,

and living around the world.

Just like shipping balikbayan box,

they were yearning to come back home.

Did you ever expect that in a bit of droplets, contact, and fomites-

you would be counting days,

months and even a years?

Hoping that each day,

it can buy you a ticket.

Starve to death, losing breath.

Many people were lost even

were abandoned.

Thinking,

"Will there be still a beat to live?"

"Will there be still carols and a glimmer of hope?"
