How did you like the last chapter and femi is leaving, sad right ? I know .

This is the second to the last chapter thanks so much to all my readers for following this book to the end....,okay am ranting...

Idara's POV

"Hi baby."

I said to my best friend of eight years .

"Hey babes . The pictures of the bridesmaids dresses which one do you like, Angel said  she likes the pink one."she said immediately going to the point.

Yeah , you all heard right . She's getting married to Daniel  next month. It's been eight years .

Daniel proposed last two months and the wedding preparations had been taking place and me being a doctor didn't have the time like Angel to help her out. It makes me feel bad but she told me not to worry.

"I like the red one , it's bold . Let's Skype in the night to talk about it." I said as I quickly waved at Mercy who was busy watching TV. She was on a summer break from college so she decides to pay me a visit.

I entered my new black Porsche. I bought it with my savings of the past six months salary.

"I told her too that the red one will be great.  When are  you coming to Nigeria ?"

She asked. I just filed my leave and with the amount of work load I pray they quickly sign it if possible.

"I don't know yet Liz." I said truthfully.

"Well don't avoid it like every other meet up because of Femi cause you all are gonna be there together." She added making me sigh.

Does she have to remind me of all my past attitudes. I always avoided any get together and just like me , Femi too always avoid it but we will both meet next month.

I moved on , I think. I dated other guys too , well it's been seven years but I didn't feel all the Sparks , butterflies and all that with the guys, maybe it's because I was a teen at that time.

I placed Liz on my car's speaker ,"am coming okay? I can't miss it for anything." I said back. I turned on the car and drive out of the park .

Driving to St Luke's hospital while talking about wedding things with Liz made me feel good about this morning.

"Do you think Ayo and Angel will make up again when they meet?" I asked Liz.

They haven't been stable and last year they broke up again.

"No I don't think so , Ayo told Daniel about his new girlfriend and he seems to really like her. Angel too has moved on. "

She said

"Ooh . I gotta go babe . Love you . Kisses."

I said.

"Love you too honey , mwahh." She said making me giggle

I ended the call and stepped out of the car , carrying my bag which had my stethoscope and other basic equipments.

I walked to my department and into my office. Yeah my office , i got a promotion and have been working here for a year but with my internship it's been three years , but mind you I wasn't that high just two positions higher than the interns.

Immediately I dropped my bag a beep was heard."good morning doctor Peters , there's a emergency and you're needed."the nurse said.

I sighed as I quickly went to the entrance, the ambulance parked in front of the hospital and then they quickly rolled out a man who had blood all over his body.

I ran over to them and joined them to push him into the emergency room. A nurse had joined me and other doctors.

"He was involved in an accident, his blood pressure is low , and he's losing a lot of blood." The nurse said  informing me about what happened in the ambulance.

I quickly checked his heart beat looking up to meet the face of the man only to be met with a very similar but more mature face.

I gasped as I realised it was really Femi. I quickly checked the cut where the blood was gushing out it was right at his abdomen.

After having him quickly go through a scan we prepared for the surgery, I decided not to think about the fact that it was really Femi that I was having a surgery on.

After a whole five hours of surgery it was successful. I felt so happy, just like everytine I have a successful surgery.

"Well done Rose." My department head said as he saw me entering the ward where Femi was.

"Thank you sir." I said with a large smile.

I entered the room with a nurse behind me , "where's the guardian?"I asked immediately we entered.

"She's outside." She replied. I didn't miss  the 'she 'she used .

I'm happy that he has someone who's there to stay and not just leave like I did.

I walked up to his bed to check his vitals.

He looked much more handsome if that's possible, his afro was expertly cut and his chin was more sharp.

He looked more mature but his baby face  features were still there.

I checked the machine and his heart beat.

I reduced the rate of the drip which he was collecting.

I looked at him again and then walked out to meet his guardian.

"This is her." The nurse pointed at a pretty black American lady who was busy crying. Be professional.

"Good afternoon doctor." She said immediately she noticed my presence. She quickly cleaned her eyes.

"Good afternoon, luckily the surgery was successful and we've overcome the hard stage.  He's gonna wake up the next day as his body needs a lot of rest." I said.

" Thank you doctor Rose." She said

" Just call me Rose. " I said back.

I walked away from her and into the locker room to change my clothes since I was in my operation wear.

I texted Angel and Liz on our group chat about what happened today.

I fixed my make up as usual and wore a jean trouser and white top. I wore a black jacket on it giving it a little office look.

I wore my sneakers and walked out of the house . Mercy was also out.

After a thirty minutes drive , I reached the hospital. I put in my white coat and I walked in , instead of going out my office straight I went to Femi's room.

I walked  in with the nurse beside me. I checked his vitals as usual , I turned to check the drip , "he's waking." The nurse said from beside me.

I turned to look at him , he was opening his eyes slowly. He blinked to adjust his eyes with the light .

He looked up at me and a very surprised expression covered his face.

"Idara." He said his voice lower than a whisper.

I found myself smiling

"hi Femi."

" Is this a dream? Where's am I?" He asked looking around.

"You're at the hospital , and it's not a dream. Call his girlfriend in." I said the last part to the nurse.

"Girlfriend? I don't have one. Long time no see doctor idara." He said smiling.

I smiled back, " long time no see Femi. How did you get involved in the accident?"

I asked.

"It was someone else's mistake I suppose. You've really changed idara." He said as he gently looked at me.

"You too Femi .you need to rest , I'll be here later." I said.

"Okay sure." He said back with his usual sexy voice.

I walked out of the room and  went to my office

It was nice seeing him. Really nice.

After my shift I walked to Femi's room. No nurse this time just normal me.

He was watching a movie on the TV and pressing his phone.

" Hey how you feeling?" I asked immediately I reached there.

He looked up at me and smiled.

"Am feeling good , it hurts a little but nothing I can't handle. How are you?" He asked.

I took a sit on the chair ,

"Am good. Just still surprised that you're really here ." I said .

He chuckled, "I know right. It's been seven years now. "

He said.

I nodded "seven years , where's your girlfriend by the way?" I asked since I haven't seen her

"Who do you keep  calling my girlfriend?" He asked.

"The black American girl." I said.

"Oh Lisa , she's just my PA." He said back.

I nodded not knowing what to say ,

"Have you been living in Atlanta the whole time?" I couldn't help but ask.

"No. I came here for business. I live in LA ."

He said looking at me.

"Since the time you left?"

I asked , it hurt me a little to even think about those times

"No I went to Harvard and then when I graduated I relocated to LA." He explained.

I nodded ,

"I should get going." I said as I stood up. I was hungry and tired.

"Now now , can you stay a little bit . Am just bored here and alone." He said with hope in his eyes.

"Fine , am hungry so I'll just order some pizza. You can't eat yet."I said

"Okay. Thanks." He said and watched as I ordered the food .

"How's your sister?" He asked.

"She's fine , she's attending the same college I went to."I  said.

"Really? That's nice , more than nice actually." He said

"What about you and your family?" I asked , it was like we were playing twenty questions

"I don't know, haven't heard from them since I left." He said .

"So how about business, what do you do?" I asked him.

He chuckled , looking at me eye to eye ,

"Am the owner of  Fid." He said catching me off guard.

That's the reigning app now world wide.

"Tell me it's a lie."

He chuckled"it's a lie. But it's true actually. I know it's hard to believe." He said

"No it's not hard to believe, you're a fucking genius , I was expecting something like this." I said .

"I missed you idara , it's so nice being together like this , like old times."

He said with a low,calm voice.

I didn't answer back , I didn't know what to say . I missed him more , I tried to move on after two years and that was because my roommate pushed me date.

Maybe fate is doing it's work , joining us together like this. Cause I really hope it is .

I don't want to lose him again..

Daniel and Liz getting married.

Idara and Femi have a chance now
