Idara's POV
"Happy birthday to you , happy birthday to you , happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to you. Happy birthday babe."
Femi sang .
I was smiling so wide. It was actually twelve am and Femi called to sing to me.
I was squealing on the inside as I laughed.
"Thanks Femi , this is like the sweetest thing ever." I said back to the phone and not to mention his beautiful voice.
"Anything for you , did I wake you up?" He asked.
I don't even care again if he did cause I was just so happy right now.
"No , I was awake. I was doing one of my assignment." I answered truthfully.
Well if we were going out today , I got to fulfil all of today's reading plan this night.
"Nerdy Idara." He muttered chuckling.
"Well thank you , I just want to be one of the top students like I was in my former school."
"Well then you have to beat me." He said back.
"Nah , I will pass." I said as he chuckled again.
"What do you think they are planning?" I asked again.
They have been keeping it a secret and I just wanted to know abeg.
"I don't know. " He said
I could feel the lie in that sentence.
"You are lying, tell me na." I said again only to receive
"I think you should sleep it's late. Goodnight."
I sighed as I dropped the phone on the table.
Only to receive another call from Liz.
I feel so loved right now.
"Happy birthday my darling daughter." My mum said as she barged into my room with my dad on her tail.
Mercy walked in minutes later with my cake.
Best birthday ever. She prayed for me , and my dad prayed too.
Dad even got me a 360mate pro Hawaii phone as a birthday present.
I squeled immediately I saw it cause I have been telling him with style to buy me that.
It was actually the same phone Femi was using and I loved it.
I held the pack in my hand as my mum brought out a heel sneakers the one I showed her when she was browsing.
I grabbed it from her hands and hugged her .
I couldn't even stop the tears as I hugged the two birthday presents in my hands.
"The cake is actually from me!" Mercy shouted from her seat and everyone laughed.
I walked to her and hugged her too "thanks for the cake."
"Now you are talking." She replied.
"Mumu." I said back at her .
"She have started again oo." She said again and my parents left the room laughing at the both of us.
We both went to the sitting room together.
"Mum , can I follow Idara to the place she's going to with her friends."
Mercy asked.
I turned my head fast to look at her .
"Sure "
My mum answered from the kitchen.
I sighed as I realised she was going to find out that am dating Femi.
My mum prepared my favourite food and we are in peace .
I checked the time and it was almost twelve pm.
We all planned to go by twelve thirty pm
"Mercy go and bath oo , we will soon go oo." I said as I walked to my room.
"Okay oo." She said from the sitting room.
I took my bath and wore a denim skinny jeans and a Tommy Hilfiger colour top wearing my ankle heel sneakers to fit.
I picked one of my clutch purse and left the room.
I checked the time and Femi could be here any minute from now.
"Mercy am going oo." I said as I entered her room.
"Oya let's go." She answered as she grabbed my hand and walked out of the room.
She was almost the same height with me and we'll we looked so alike so we could go for twins but I looked more mature than her.
I got a beep from my phone.

"Let's go. Mummy bye"
"Bye "she answered back.
Immediately we walked out of the gate I saw Femi's car ,
He stepped out of the car and came to meet me.
He pecked me on my forehead "hello Birthday girl." He said as he pulled back.
"Wow , you look so beautiful." I couldn't help but blush at his compliment.
I was about to talk when I heard a groan from my back.
Femi shifted back and when he saw it was my sister he laughed
"God .. I thought it was your mum."
We all laughed at that as he opened the door for me .
"Thanks." I said as I entered the car.
Mercy entered the back seat and Femi drove off to the hidden venue.
After a thirty minutes drive , Femi finally parked.
Mercy and Femi have been chatting non stop about one musician like that , they were not even chatting.
They were arguing, big time.
"The two of you should just check Google and settle the matter." I said already frustrated.
"True." Mercy said as she brought out her phone and searched for it .
Femi had a smirk on , I wanted to call him agbaya but refrained from it.
"Shit.
It's true ooo."mercy muttered. Immediately Femi heard it he laughed.
We all stepped out of the car.
I looked at the surroundings, it was a beach house.
"It's my dad's."he said as he walked to hold my hand.
He told Mercy to follow us as he dragged me to the entrance.
The whole building is beautiful even before adding the beach in front of it .
The house was so lovely and was shouting expensive.
Wait how did his dad allow him.
I was about to ask him but the beauty of the house stopped me.
I stared at the house , I heard Mercy muttered a wow as she walked around and all of a sudden Liz walked in singing a happy birthday song with a lovely voice.
I couldn't help the grim as they all joined her coming out and Angel was holding a cake.
Wow , it was just perfect.
"Thanks everyone this is so lovely.
You guys are the best!" I said as I walked to them and hugging Liz and Angel.
After eating a light food , we decided to go to the beach.
Angel and Liz who were already prepared changed into their swimsuit.
They brought a bumber short for me , well they knew me enough to know that I can't wear a bikini in front of all the boys.
We went out to meet the boys , ire was even here and they were playing volleyball .
The girls ran to the water , well I was included and Mercy too.
Mercy even brought a bumber short too since she was informed before hand.
I felt myself been lifted from the ground , I laughed as I heard the familiar laugh .
"Put me down , put me down Femi!!" I said as he put me down like literally just dropped me into the water.
I stood up back and glared at me , well I was told my glare could put someone six feets under if it could kill so no wonder he raised his hands up in surrender and started running out.
I followed him running after him , he had longer legs so he was obviously faster than me.
When I saw Ire at the side he was going to I shouted "ire help me hold him!!"
Ire turned to see the both of us and then he held Femi's hand .
We were all laughing by the time I reached there.
I bent down to catch my breath , I raised up my hands weakly and ire gave me a high five.
"You guys are funny ." Ire said as he laughed at the both of us.
"Don't mind her oo." Femi said walking to me , I noticed Ire walking away maybe giving us some privacy.
"I got you a present." Femi said as he pulled his hands on my waist.
"But you gave me one before." I said , chuckling.
"Well I bought you another one. That wristwatch is still the most important gift I've given you."
"Why?"
"Cause that's my first gift and we both love it. I love you Idara." Femi said as he placed his lips on mine.
I didn't know.maybe it was the confession or the kiss but I felt so happy right now .
With lots of butterflies or more like dragons dancing in me.
"Guys!! Let's have a pg13 time here."Ayo said as he laughed.
We both pulled out and glared at him.
Why would he break this up now .
I even felt like punching him with that smile on his face. Yeye boy.
"It's time for gift opening and why do I feel like the both of you have plans on killing me.
Please oo am still the only son of my parents." Ayo said as he walked into the house.
We both laughed as we entered the house.
We joined the circle that has already been formed.
Mercy was busy taking pictures in every corner of the house so she wasn't here.
Liz was the first person to give me a gift.
I opened it to see a clutch purse. It was very lovely.
"Thanks . I love it!" I said as I hugged her.
"You are welcome." She answered back
After thanking almost everyone for their gift to me , Ire stretched his own out to me.
"Thanks." I said as I opened it .
It was a bracelet , a golden one .
It was lovely "wow thanks so much for this." I said looking up to face him
"It's nothing really. But anyways you are welcome and happy birthday again." He said in his famous accent.
It was finally Femi's turn , I noticed the scowl in his face before he smiled again passing a box to me.
I opened it and in it was a necklace , it had a oval shaped pendant , which he helped me open .
In it were two pictures , one of mine and the other was a pic the both is us took together.
Coos were heard as he helped me wear it , well I guess you all know where the coos were from .
I looked at the necklace , it was still the best gift ever.
