Ahana and Neil froze along with the rest of their family. Ahana's hands tightened on Neil as her fears grew. Mutterings and Mumbling along with protest started in the court.
Judge:"Order order"( As the court silenced Again)" Mr. Singh You may realize after your crimes what you are asking is not possible but then again as you said everyone has rights. Mr. and Mrs. Malhotra Since you both are the legal guardian of Ansh Malhotra, I give the decision in your hands. 3 days. You both have 3 days to think this through. The court will hear your decision after 3 days. We can assure you one thing though. If you all agree to the meeting then we will have officer with you and the child and you are to be with you child at all times. We assure you it will be safe. The court is dismissed "
Flashback ends....
These 2 days had passed really quickly. Tomorrow Ahana and Neil had to tell there decision to The court. Though most of the family members have already made there mind about the decision being an obvious no, Some had mutliple battles going on within themselves about the topic.
After having Dinner, Ahana and Neil had headed up. Tomorrow was a big day for them. Though Ahana had made up her mind about saying no, She was still in fear. From the moment Rajeev had made his request, She was in denial. No way on the world would she let Ansh anywhere near that man.
She remembered the emotional breakdown she had when she got home that day. Neil had been with her he sad supported her but they truly never discussed this topic.
As she thought through this, she heard Neil exit the washroom after freshening up. He came and sat next to her as he kept his hand on her hand.
Neil:"Ahana we Need to talk about Ansh and ra..Rajeev's request"
Ahana:"I..(Taking a deep breath)"Neil I can't let my son anywhere near that man. I just can't. His shadow can't even touch Ansh. Neil I think we all already have known that the decision is no. I guess we both agree on it as well but this fear is still not leaving me."
Neil:(As he looked down at his hand that were now intertwined with hers)"I...I was thinking something else. "
Ahana:(Confused)"What?"
Neil:"I think we should agree...to let him meet Ansh"
Ahana:( Shocked)" What?.. No Neil what are you saying. We.. We can't let that man anywhere near Ansh.. You joking right"(She asked in disbelief)
Neil:"Ahana trust me I have thought day and night about this. Just hear me out"( He said softly as his eyes held deep emotion)
Ahana sighed. She knew Neil had said something so bizarre that she herself was shocked but at the same time she also knew Neil wouldn't do a think to hurt Ansh. She knew Neil would have thought about it over 1000 times before coming to such a conclusion. Though she didn't understand his decision nor did she support it. She trusted him enough to listen to his view on the topic before judging him fully or opposing his thoughts.
Ahana:"Tell me Neil. What can make you agree to let Rajeev meet Ansh"
Neil:"Ahana I understand you fear. I myself felt the same that day when Rajeev made his request. I felt so much anger built up in me that I wanted to beat the hell out of him. That night this thought never left me that how can a man be like him. I know he hasn't changed. That's crystal clear for sure and I was gonna say no as well. But my view changed when I went to the kids room the next day."
Ahana:"the kids room?"
Neil:"Yeah. That day I saw Ansh And Naira playing, lost in their own world while Aryan was talking. You know to whom. Aarti. You know what he was talking about. You."
Ahana:"Me?"
Neil:"Ahana from the day Aarti...left.. Aryan only way to communicate to her was through her photos. I remember he would cry at night holding her photo wishing she would came back. Ahana at this point in time he has given you the same love, care, and place that he had given Aarti. He shares everything with you the same way he did with Aarti. That day he was talking to Aarti but all his conversation were about you. Ahana seeing that I felt proud. Most people in the world leave there past to have a better future. But we both know we can't run from our past."
Neil sighed looking at Ahana as the past few events played in his head. Seeing Ahana expressions he could tell that the same thoughts ran through her head as well.
Neil:"Ahana we ourselves have move forward with our past. Aryan, due to the circumstances, has also moved forward with his past and present. Whenever someone asks him about his parents. He makes sure to Involve both his mother. He always feels blessed to have 2 mother instead of 1. Naira on the other hand wasn't at the age to even remember Aarti. Same with Ansh. But don't you think they both should also know their past. I know they are young but Think Ahana. Once they grow old, if Ansh questions why Aryan always talks to Aarti. Who is Aarti. Or if Naira questions this What will you say?"
Ahana:"I truly have never thought of it. But I can surely say that I would want Ansh and Naira both to know about Aarti. Naira needs to know about her mother. The mother who gave her birth. The mother who struggled through 9 months of pregnancy and risked her life to give birth to Naira. As for Ansh he also deserve to know the angel that saved his life. He needs to know his other mother who came in his life like an angel giving him a new birth. If it weren't for Aarti I might not have my son with me. So yes I want all my kids to know Aarti. I would even want our baby (Keeping her hand on her bump) to know about Aarti."
Neil:( Smiled as he cupped her face and kissed her forehead)"I knew you would day something like that. I agree Ahana. All our kids should know and feel luck to have 2 mothers watching over them. But Ahana if they can know about Aarti then they should also know about Rajeev. Just because he has done bad things doesn't mean he isn't included in their life. Ahana we can't keep our kids away from the negative in the world and just show them the positive. Because if we do that, they won't be able to survive in this world. Everything in this world has a positive and negative side to it. If we want our kids to successfully move on with their past, we need to tell them the whole story. We need to let them see the negative along with the positive. I understand that they are to young to understand everything today but one day they will understand it. Until then atleast let Ansh know Rajeev."
Ahana:"I get you point Neil but what are you gonna tell him. That his father, Biological father left and cheated on his mother. That his father tried to kill him. That his father is a murder, a monster. Neil he..he is too young to even hate anyone in his life how will he handle this. And Above all Neil your his father. His superhero dad. His world will break when he gets to know about rajeev"
Neil:"Ahana I am not in any circumstances letting Rajeev destroy my relationship with Ansh. I just.. I know at one point in his life, he will know the truth Ahana. I just don't want it to be late enough because maybe like Prabha maa and Sanjeev papa, we also think to wait for the right time and things come out in a nasty way. I don't want him to hate you or me for not letting him meet his father even onces in his life. To hate him or not is his choice Ahana not ours. I just..I know this situation is very confusing and weird and even I don't know which option is right or wrong but I just feel that we should let Ansh meet him. Atleast onces. The final decision is on you Ahana. I have kept my point now whatever you day I will agree to."
Ahana:"Neil.. i..."
Neil:"It's okay Ahana take you time. We have till tomorrow evening to give the decision. Think this through. I don't want you to regret it. And remember made a decision on what you believe not on what I believe. You have my point of view and your point of view to look at. "( Ahana looked at her fingers lost as her mind conflicted over things)
As Ahana and Neil sat there, a knock on their door brought them out of their thoughts. Ahana and Neil looked at each other in confusion of the unexpected visitor at the moment as Neil went to open the door. There stood Ansh with a crying face. As soon as the door open, He rushed into Neil's arms as he cried hugging him.
Neil:( picking him up)" Ansh.. Baby what happened."
Ansh:"Monster..."( Ahana looked at Ansh startled)" Red Monster from movie came to me "
Ahana and Neil relaxed a little, realizing that Ansh might have seen a dream about the monster in the kids movies the 3 kids watched today.
Neil:"Ansh Baby..he won't come anywhere near you buddy. First of all where is Naira and Aryan"
Ansh:"Sleeping"
Neil:"okay then"( He closed the door as he headed towards the bed)" our Ansh will sleep with mumma papa today. And we won't let any monster near you. "
Ansh nodded his head as he smiled at his father before jumping on the bed and laying next to Ahana. Ahana smiled as she covered him with the blanket, kissing his forehead as she layed beside him. Neil also joined them soon as he turned of the lights.
Neil:( Spoke up after a few mins seeing Ansh still awake)"Tell me Ansh. How did the monster look like"
Ansh:( Hugging Ahana)"Scary papa"
Neil:( Pulling ansh towards him As he cuddled him)" But Buddy what color was he"
Ansh:"Red"
Neil:"Red like your favorite car?"( Ansh nodded)
Ahana looked at Neil confused. What was he trying to do. She didn't understand it but she kept quiet observing the 2.
