Chapter 63 | Pregnancy News

Ahana and Neil reached home around 11 at night and made the kids sleep in their room before heading up to their respective room.

They changed their clothes up and got ready for bed. Ahana came out of the washroom and saw Neil on his phone typing something. She settled down on her side of the bed and unclipped her hair fully opening it from the bun and letting it fall behind her. She ran her hands through her hair to set it properly before laying down on the bed.

Neil who was still busy writing some email, Gave her a smile and ran his hands over her head onces before continuing his work. Ahana layed their looking at the ceiling as she remembered today's event. Her hands automatically went on her stomach as she ran her fingers over it slowly. A smile came upon her face as she remembered the time when she first got pregnant with Ansh. She was So scared to even more her body a inch thinking she will hurt the baby. Though today she knows that this fear is nothing to be worried about, the care is still their.

Ahana's thoughts were broken when she felt another hand cover hers on her stomach. She turned her head to the side and saw Neil laying next to her with a smile on his face.

Neil:( Kissing her forehead)" Where are you lost shona"

Ahana:"( Smiling softly)" No where Neil. ( They stayed quite for a while Enjoying each other's presence when Ahana looked at Neil and spoke up)" Neil... Tomorrow I...Before we tell our family I want to tell Ansh, Aryan and Naira. I know they won't understand much but I feel they deserve to know this first after you ofcourse. Maa and Papa got to know due to our situation but I want the kids to know next. "

Neil:"I agree Ahana. Don't worry tomorrow we will plan something."( Ahana nodded as she rested her head on his chest and sleep took over both of them)

Next day... Ahana and Neil had visited the doctor in the morning and got confirmation on the new with all the reports and medications. Later they brainstormed multiple ways to tell the kids about this news but all the idea seemed either tooo over the top or not suitable for kid's understanding.

Neil:"Can't we just go to their room and Say  Kids your becoming  big brothers and Sister."( He said feeling tried of this planning)

Ahana:"God Neil. Is this how you told Aryan about Naira when she was born. They are kids they wouldn't understand it that simply"

Neil:( Rubbing back of neck with a shy smile)" Well at Naira's time, Aarti was the one who Explained it to Aryan. "

Ahana:"I can imagine"( She looked back at Her notebook which they were planning on and something click her)" I got it"( She said excitedly startling Neil)

Neil:"What?"

Ahana:"Come with me"( She held Neil hands and they headed towards The kids room)

As they entered kids room, They saw the kids busy playing among themselves. Ahana looked around the room and spotted the things she was looking for.

Ahana:"Kids listen up. Mumma and Papa have something for you"

The kids stopped what they were doing and gathered around their parents asking questions. Ahana told everyone to wait a min at she went and got all the teddy bears in the room and kept them on the bed.

Ahana:"So kids  we will meet  a beautiful family today. The Teddy bear family. ( She picked up a big  brown teddy bear)" So this is Papa Bear. Who is he?"

Kids:"Papa Bear"

Ahana:"Yes..."

Naira:"Mumma same same like Papa"( She said Causing Ahana to smile)

Ahana:"Yes Baby same like your Papa. Strong and Loving and protective of his family. Common go give it to papa"( Naira Ran and took the large teddy bear in her hand as she wobbled towards Neil.)

Neil:( Taking the bear in his hands)" Thanks Princess "

Naira:"wecom ( welcome)" ( She replied cutely)

Ahana:"Now This is mumma bear"( Ahana said picking a big White bear in her hand)"She takes care of the family and loves her kids sooo much."

Aryan:"Like you Mumma"

Ahana:" Yes like me.."( She kept the Teddy next to her then turned to a medium size bear)"And this is the first baby of Papa and mumma bear. He is cute and innocent and the champ of the house. who is he?

Ansh:"Aryan bhaiya?"

Ahana:"Good job Ansh."(Ansh clapped his hands as he took the bear in his hands handing it to Aryan who gave a shy smile)"Next comes Our to little babies."( She said picking up 2 small teddy bear in her hands)

Naira/ Ansh:"Meeeee!!!"

Ahana:( Laughs)" Yes.. This is our Ansh and Naira. The cutest little babies. ofcourse they take after their big brother"( Naira and Ansh ran towards Ahana taking their bears in their hands)

Aryan:"Mumma one more bear is left. But our family is complete na"(Seeing a small white teddy still on the bed. Ahana's eyes darted at the teddy then at Neil who smiled at her)

Ansh:"Let's take is out"

Naira:"Hmm"

Ahana:"No no"( Ahana said picking the teddy in her hands)" It's a small baby bear na. Why will you remove it. We can add it to our family "

Naira:"But how mumma. We only have 1..2..3..4..5..(She said counting her family members)" in our famy( Family)"

Ansh:"Who will have baby bear Mumma"

Neil:"Don't worry buddy. You mumma and Papa have a solution for it"

Aryan:"What papa?"

Ahana:"What if we say that in few months there will be a new friend for you all who will take care of this bear"

Naira:" Who Mumma?"

Neil:( Picking Naira in his arms)" Baby you 3 will soon have a baby brother or sister "

Aryan:"Baby?... Mumma Did u also eat a baby in your stomach like Aarti maa did"

Ansh:( Gasps)" Mumma eat a babyyyyyy"

Naira:"No no mumma no eat baby plzzzz "

Neil:"Hold on my speed Express kids. No one will eat anyone."

Ansh:"Then you said we will get a baby"

Neil:"You will"

Ansh:"How? Like Shubham's Mom brought it from hos....Hosial ( Hospital)

Ahana:"Hospital baby. And yes like Shubham's mom did we will also get you a baby brother or sister but after few months."

Naira:"No mumma I want it now na. we can play with it"

Ahana:"Baby it is a big process it will take time. We will play with it soon okay but not now"

Ansh/ Naira:"Okay mumma.... We will soon have a  babyyyy"( They yelled excited while Neil laughs)

Aryan:"Mumma, Aarti mumma said god gives baby to us. He put Naira in Her stomach then doctors gave Naira to us. Did god gave you a baby too"

Ahana:( Kneeling down to his level)" Yes sweetheart, Your Aarti mom said right. God gave us a baby too.( She kept his tiny hand on her stomach)" He or she is in here listening to everything you want to say. The baby will come out knowing each and everyone of us."

Aryan:"Really"

Ahana:"Yes baby"( She said kissing his forehead)

Ahana and Neil were relieved that the kids took the news nicely. Next they want and told the family members about this news. Ofcourse the whole Malhotra family was over joyed with the news.  They congratulated the soon to be parents again. Happiness had spread in the house with tha announcement of the new member.

Like this days passed and soon those days turned into Months. Today it had been 4 months since the news of Ahana's pregnancy had came. Everything was going great. Ahana and the baby were going great. No complication were there in the pregnancy.

Ahana now had a small, not noticeable, Bump. There 4 months have been a blast for her. Yes there were problems like the terrible morning sickness which she had to deal with every day for the first 3 months. But again Neil was with her all the time. He would help her hold her hair back when she threw up. He wouldn't feel disgusted like some men do. These 4 months everyone was every caring towards Ahana that there were moments she would start crying seeing their  care.

The kids themselves have been a treat to watch in these months. The way they took care of Ahana even if it meant Getting her water when she was sitting on the sofa or Hugging her softly, not to hurt the baby. They had became Ahana's protector on Neil's words. When in Neil's absence, Aryan Ansh and Naira were the one who forced Ahana to drink Apple juice or other nutritious food.

Ahana truly felt blessed to have such a nice family. Throughout these 4 months only few things bother her truly. One of them being Prabha and Sanjeev. From that day, They seem guilty of something. Ahana and Neil tired to talk to them multiple times but no result came out. Neil told Ahana to give them some time, They will open up but this thought never left Ahana or Neil's mind.

The second thing was the unusual thing that took place 3 months back. On 12th November. One of the most dreadful yet important date in their lives.

Flashback to 12th November...

Ahana woke up due to a weird sensation in her stomach. She got up and ran to the bathroom to see it locked. She cover her mouth as she knocked on the door.

Ahana:" Neil...ne...open"( She managed to say through her covered mouth)

As soon as Neil opened the door, He was pushed aside as Ahana rushed in towards the sink and vomited leaning over the sink. Neil rushed to her, Holding her hair as he rubbed her back. Ahana vomited few times before She rested her head tiredly on Neil's chest as Neil took a towel and wiped her face.

Neil:"It's getting worse shona. We should ask the doctor for some medicine regarding this."

Ahana:"It's normal neil"

Neil:"I know but still. Let's meet with the doctor this weekend "( Ahana just nodded not being able to say anything. Neil picked Ahana in his arms, That when she noticed that he was just in a towel.)

Ahana:"Sorry. I again disturbed your bath"

Neil:"No sweetheart I was done already."( Neil said as he made Ahana lay on the bed kissing her forehead)" I'll change and come. You rest for a while"

Ahana:"Hmm"( She hummed snuggled into the blanket)

After few mins, Ahana heard the bathroom door open. She looked over to see Neil come out fully dressed for office. She gave him a soft smile and sat up on the bed. Neil came and sat next to her wearing his shoes while Ahana headed to freshen up. She exited the washroom after 30 mins only to see Neil sitting on the sofa drinking tea while he typed something on his laptop.

Ahana:( Brushing her hair in front of the mirror)" Neil we have to attend The kids PTA meeting also. I think it's around 19th or 20th."

Neil:"Oh okay. Just confirm the date and let me know"

Ahana:"Sure. Wait what is it today"

Neil:( Looking at the date on his laptop)"12th November "

Ahana:"Oh okay"

As both of them realized the date they froze. 12th November. How could they forget. Ahana turned towards Neil to see him looking at his phone in shock.

Neil:"To...today is 12th"

Ahana:"no..November..12th November "

Neil:" Today is Aarti's death Anniversary "

Ahana:"Today is Rajeev's death Anniversary " ( They both said at the same time and froze)
