Next day....
Today was Saturday, A holiday for the kids and even Men of Malhotra household. The morning routine went as normal with everyone getting freshened up and met at the dinning table for breakfast. Today was a bright sunny day with the weather around 73° Fahrenheit.
As Everyone completed their breakfast while chatting, Ahana informed everyone about Prabha's invitation to Ahana and Neil for dinner.
Rahul:"That's a good plan. You haven't visited them since before the trip. I am sure they missed you. Infact Angali Maybe next week why not plan a family dinner here."
Angali:"That's a good plan Rahul. Ahana do inform Prabha ji. Though I'll call her tomorrow anyways"
Ahana:"Okay mumma"
Ansh:"Papa today you promised to play"
Neil:"Did I?(He said as he faked thinked)
Aryan/Naira:"Yesss Papa... "
Neil:( Laughed)" alright then. Why don't you 3 go where a jacket then we can play and Aryan bring the soccer ball as well"
Ansh/Naira:(Running to their room)" Yeahhhhhhh"
Aryan:"Okay Papa"(He said running after them.)
Everyone slowly retired to their respective works while Ahana and Preeti cleaned the Table and Shruti instructed the workers for lunch plans. Ahana was sitting on the sofa seeing something Preeti was showing her on her phone when she beard the kids voice. As she looked in that direction, She saw the kids along with Neil coming down all dressed. Neil had a ball in his hands while Aryan had a Jacket in his.
Aryan:( Coming towards Ahana)" Mumma here."
Ahana:(Seeing her jacket in Aryan's hands)" Baby this?"
Aryan:"Mumma you also came naa"
Ahana:"Me"
Aryan:"Yes mumma pleaseeeee"
Ahana:( Smiles)" Okay okay let's go"
Aryan:(grins)" Thank youuuu"(He kissed her cheeks before hugging her tightly)
Ahana and Neil along with the kids headed out to the front yard area. Ahana went and sat on the grass taking the shade of the trees while Neil started to instruct the kids and they began their game. Ahana smiled seeing them all. Neil was moving the ball left to right from his feet while the kids tried to take the ball from him.
As Ahana was enjoying seeing her precious people happy, her phone rang. She looked down to see an unknown number and to her surprise this number was also an out of India number. She felt strange but neither less picked the call up.
Ahana:"Hello....Hello? Hello is anyone there?"( She frowned hearing nothing but silence in response)
Ansh:( Yelling )"Mumma pass the ball"( Ahana looked up to see the soccer ball coming towards her. She picked it up and throw it towards Ansh)
Ahana:" Careful Ansh"( She yelled back as she saw Ansh about to trip over the ball but sighed in relief when Neil picked Ansh up before he could fall. Ahana smiled seeing neil throw Ansh in the air as the kids and his laugh rang in the place. Ahana Again looked at her phone to see it still connected to the call. Without saying anything she cut the call)
After some time Neil made the kids busy within themselves and headed towards Ahana. He saw her busy on her phone, so he sat down next to her and kept his head on her lap.
Neil:"What is my shona doing?"
Ahana:"Just reading"(She said showing him her phone screen which had a novel opened on it)" Tired?"( She asked as Neil snuggled into her stomach closing his eyes)
Neil:"Hmm These kids are damn energetic "(Ahana laughs as he kisses her stomach and starts to play with her fingers.)
Ahana:"Well Alteast they don't go after their father on that"(She teased)
Neil:"Ohh I see. You want to see how energetic I am. ( He said as he started to tickle her while Ahana laughed telling him to stop)
Kids:(As they came towards their parents)"dont tickling mumma papaaa"
The kids jumped on Neil as he laughed falling back on the grass. Ahana also laughed trying to calm her breathing as she layed down next to them when Aryan hugged her laying his head on her chest.
Ahana smiled looking at her kids when her eyes landed on Neil who was holding Ansh and Naira on top of him but her eyes were on her and his lips were formed in a huge grin. Ahana smiled as she used her left hand and ran it through his hair while he leaned onto her touch smiling even more.
Ahana:"Okay common let's head inside. I have to make sure lunch is prepared"( She said as the kids obeyed and stood up and so did Neil, While Ahana sat up. Neil forwarded Ahana his hand which she took gladly as he pulled her up. She giggled as she bumped into his chest when suddenly she started to feel dizzy.) " Neil...I..."
Neil:(worried as he saw her sway a little)" Ahana?"
Ahana looked at Neil before her eyes shut and she started to fall only to land in Neil arms who looked terrified seeing Ahana's state. Even the kids looked scared as yell out their mumma's Name and start to cry.
Neil picked Ahana in her arms and started to carry her to the car when he saw Sid instructing one of the worker outside the garage area.
Sid:( Shocked seeing Ahana like this)"Bhai what happened "
Neil:"I don't know Sid. I am taking Ahana to the hospital. she hasn't been feeling well lately. I shouldn't have listened to her and taken her to the doctor before only"
Sid:"Bhai there is no need to think all this now. Let's take bhabhi to the hospital "( He said as he started to head to the car with the keys in his hands)
Neil:"No Sid you please calm the kids and take them inside. I'll take her."( Sid nodded and he handed the keys to Neil and Looked at the kids)
Aryan:(Scared)" Chachu mumma"
Sid:(picking up a crying Naira in his hands as he used one of his hands to cup Aryan's cheek)" Don't worry champ, Mumma will be fine. When you superhero dad is there then nothing can happen to you mumma na. Common we will wait inside"( Aryan nodded and Sid held Anshes hand who was crying looking the Neil car leave the area)
At the hospital....
Neil rushed Ahana inside the hospital and Soon a room was allotted to Them. The doctors came and checked Ahana while Neil stood their holding her hands and he prayed everything to be alright.
As the doctors checked Ahana, Her eyes fluttered opened and she looked scared looking at an unknown surrounding. Her eyes traveled from the doctors to Neil who came towards her and hugged her trying to calm himself while this also calmed her a little.
Ahana:(Weakly)" Ne...Neil...Wh...where are we?"
Neil:"Hospital shona. Now tell me are you fine. Does it hurt some where? Do you feel sick? Dizziness? Anything?"
Ahana:"I..."
Doctors:"Mr. Malhotra, Mrs. Malhotra looks better now. If you don't mind I would like to perform some tests but overall everything seems normal. These test me help us understand why she fainted.( Neil nodded as the doctor turned towards Ahana) Mrs. Malhotra how has your health been in the past few days."
Ahana:"Fi..fine doctor. I have just fe..felt a little down"
Neil:"For the past few days she had been feeling sick Doctor. We were gonna visit here soon but yesterday she was all better. We thought it was due to climate change but today she fainted out of no where. It's nothing serious right?"
Doctor:"As if now no. But we have to do some tests to make sure. This could be due to climate change or this could be something serious. But please don't worry. Let us do some tests and the results should be out by tonight"
Neil:" Alright doctor"
The doctors performed some tests with Ahana while Neil was told to wait outside for some time. As Neil waited outside all his mind was on Ahana. As his mind roamed upon multiple thoughts, His phone rang. it was from his dad.
Neil:( Picking the call)" Hello dad"
Rahul:"Neil, Beta everything alright. I heard Ahana fainted. We waited for you to come home but it's been 2 hours Neil."
Neil:"I am sorry dad I forgot to inform. Ahana is Fine. She is conscious as well. Doctors are doing some tests to figure out the reason of her fainting. We should be home soon"
Rahul:"Okay beta. don't worry everything will be fine"
Neil:"I hope so. I'll see you at home Dad"( He cut the call as he ran his hand on his forehead)
Ahana came out of the room with the doctor. She kept her hands on Neil's shoulder and he looked up tensed but relaxed seeing Ahana. Ahana looked much better then before. She looked like she did this morning energetic.
Neil:( Standing up and cupping her face)" You fine shona?"
Ahana:"Yes Neil. I feel much better. "
Doctor:"I have given her some medicine to help her weakness and I think it worked fast as she already feels fresh. The tests are done and now we have to wait for the results to be out by tonight. I'll call you with the results Mr. Malhotra "
Neil:"Alright Doctor. Thank you and we will take your leave now"( The doctor nodded and headed inside while Ahana and Neil headed home)
In Car...
Ahana sat on the passenger seat while Neil drove the car. Neil drove with one hand while his other hand was intertwined with Ahana's hand and it rested on Ahana's lap.
Neil:"You fine na shona"( He asked for the 5th time since they sat in the car)
Ahana:"Neil stop the car"
Neil:"What?"
Ahana:"Neil stop the car Please."
Neil pulled over and turned to look at Ahana who unbuckled her seat belt and turned to him. She cupped his face and brought her lip onto his taking him into a kiss while his eyes widen. He soon started to reciprocate. This kiss was not passionate or in a frustrated way. It was a kiss of reassurance and support. The windows were tainted much to Ahana and Neil benefit as no one could see what is happening inside. Ahana broke the kiss and rested her forehead on his.
Ahana:( pulling back and cupping his face)" I am fine Neil. I am absolutely fine. It was just dizziness and I am sure nothing more. I feel fine Neil. So please don't worry. "
Neil:"I am sorry for irritating you with my questions but that moment...I...I felt so scared seeing you unconscious in my hands. I was so panicked. I can't lose you Ahana. You have became the reason for my life. Please keep you health good. With out your smile. Without your hugs. Without you words. Heck without you nothing feel right in my life"
Ahana hugged Neil tightly as tears beamed from her eyes at his love. She felt Neil kiss her should in between the hug and a warmth spread her body.
Ahana:( While still in the hug)" I am sorry for worrying you Neil. But I promise I am fine and I will never leave you. "
Neil:"I love you"
Ahana:"I love you too"( She pulled back and perked his lips before sitting properly in her seat)" Now we should head home. Everyone must be waiting "( Neil nodded as they started their drive home)
