After freshening up, Ahana and Neil headed Downstairs. They came into the hall to be greeted by Rahul and Angali. Today was a holiday for the kids so Prabha and Sanjeev were to drop of the kids by afternoon. The Men of the house were ready in their office attire waiting for breakfast to be served.
Neil went and settled down next to Sid while Ahana went into the kitchen to see Shruti instructing one of the cooks for what to make of lunch while Preeti was making parathas for breakfast.
Ahana:"Good morning bhabhi. Good morning Preeti "
Shruti/Preeti:(Smiled at Ahana) "Good morning "
Ahana headed and took out some fruits to make juice when they heard a sequel and turned to see Angali entering the room with a excited face as she moved toward Ahana taking her into a tight hug. Shruti chuckled while Ahana and Preeti looked at Angali with wide eyes.
Ahana:(Shocked as she seeing her mother in law who looked like a kid excited for getting chocolate)"m..Maa?"
Angali:(breaking the hug)"oh I am so excited.. Tell me everything I want to hear from your mouth"
Ahana:"Hear what maa?"
Angali:"About you and Neil"(Ahana eyes widen as she looked at Preeti and Shruti who smiled giving her a teasing look causing her to blush)
Ahana:"Ahh maa actually "
Angali:"Common don't be shy. I am not like other mother in laws. Consider me as your real mother. You would share everything with her right. The same way you can share anything with me"
Ahana:(smiled as she gets a little emotional and hugged Angali)"Thank you maa. I am really lucky to get Mother in laws like you and Prabha maa. Thank you"
Angali:"Never say Thank you Ahana. You are my daughter and Daughter don't say Thank yous to their mother. Now common spill the tea"(she said the last part making the 3 ladies chuckle while Ahana proceeded to explain everything to Angali)
Ahana:"So we decided to give our relationship a proper chance "
Angali:"that's amazing. Finally that idiot got a brain"(they all laughed)
Meanwhile situation was similar outside as well..
Sid:"So bhaiiiii I heard some news yesterday night"(He said giving a teasing look. Neil somewhat understood where this topic is going but didn't say anything yet)
Neil:(Sarcastically)"congratulation your ears work"
Sid:(Whined)"bhaiiii I am serious"
Neil:"oh really I thought you were sid?"(He acted confused)
Sid stood up and throw a pillow at Neil who laughed out loudly. While side made a crying face.
Neil:"Okay Okay Sorry"
Rohan:"actually I also heard something last night"
Rahul looked between the boys in confusion. What were they talking about? Angali had told him nothing. But again how would she be able to. She also only learned about it this morning and didn't get a chance to talk to Rahul about it.
Rahul:"what are you 3 talking about?"
Sameer:(Entering the hall with Ryan)"Dad Me and Ryan are going out with sanket"
Rohan:"But now?"
Ryan:"Dad they planned a criket match. We already had breakfast. We will back by lunch"
Rohan:"alright but be back by lunch and pick up your phone when we call"
Sameer:"Alright, Thanks dad"
Sameer/Ryan:"Bye dad, Chachu, Chuks and Dadu"
Rahul:"Bye, Be careful.( The boys leave)"So now let me what is going on"
Sid:"Dad We succeeded in our mission. Mission Ahana bhabhi and Neil bhai has progressed from step 3 to step 75 already. Only few more steps left, but now don't worry they both are going to full fill that by themselves only"(rohan and Rahul understood what Sid said as Rahul smiled but Neil looked confused)
Neil:"mission Neil and Ahana? And what steps? Sid explain clearly"
Sid:"First you explain then I will. What happened yesterday bhaii"(He said smirking in the end)
Neil:(Sighs as he knows he has to share this with his family. After all they deserve to know)"Well yesterday me And Ahana decided that we want to give our relationship a proper chance."
Sid:(Excitedly)"That means you love bhabhi"
Neil:(Turned slightly red) "What..no..not yet...but I ...I want to...I want to let myself fall for her. I know one day we will reach there. But we want to explore this between us."(He said lost in his thoughts while Rahul smiled)
Rahul:"Well son I can say that you took the right decision. Ahana is a great girl and you both deserve happiness and love. I am proud of you"(Neil smiled at his dad)
Neil:"Okay so now sid Spill. What mission?"
Sid:"Well since your marriage, we all kinda made it our mission to get you and bhabhi together. The honeymoon plan was part of the mission. Also we knew few months back that you and bhabhi had slowly started to fall for each other but we knew you were a gone case as no matter how much we told you the truth you would deny it and maybe even break your friendship with bhabhi so we didn't say anything to you"(Neil glared at him for calling him a gone case, but Sid ignored and continued talking)" Well so we thought to work on Bhabhi. Though it was hard to explain to bhabhi also. We tried for days to get her to understand she loved you but no use. All she did was say "no it's not possible. We are just good friends. We can never be anything more" It was like she was trying to convince herself she didn't feel for you. Anyways thankfully she realized herself"
Rohan:"Yes Shruti used to tell me her struggles trying to make Ahana realize her feelings. Anyways you both already skipped few steps that we have to climb so now all you have to do is realize you really love her and then confess."
Neil:"You guys do know that this is my life not some game that has steps right"
Shruti:(Entering along with the other ladies)"Well what can we do Deverji. You both were stuck on we are just friends. So we only had to give u a push na"(Ahana blushed looking down while Angali headed to Neil and pulled his cheeks)
Angali:"My some finally got some brains. Rahul let's go to mandir to evening I wanna thank god"
Neil:(Embarrassed as everyone laughed)"Mommmm"
Preeti:"okay let's have breakfast."(Everyone nodded and headed to the Dining table while the house phone rang and Angali picked it up)
Ahana and Shruti served everyone before sitting down in their seats. They waited for Angali to come before starting to eat. After few mins Angali came with a frown on her face.
Rahul:"What happened Angali. Few mins ago you were dancing out of happiness and now you look like you have a exam tomorrow "
Angali:"It's worse then exams. Actually Seema jiji called. She is coming tomorrow and will live with us for a week. She didn't come to Sid or Neil's wedding so she wants to see Ahana and Preeti"(Ahana and Preeti looked around to see everyone's face becoming serious)
Ahana:"It's okay maa. it won't be a problem for us"
Preeti:"Yeah mom infact it will be fun meeting her"
Sid:"Nothing is fun with bua"(He said making Ahana and Preeti look at him confused)
Neil:"Maa I...I am telling you before hand I won't tolerate anything This time"
Angali:"Neil, she is elder"
Neil:"That shouldn't give her the right to do things she did"(He said in anger)
Ahana looked at Neil in shock. From what she knew, Neil was very respectful of elder. No matter if he knew them or not he always respected them. But his reaction to Bua coming was extremely surprising for her.
Preeti:"Is she..I mean.."(She struggled to find appropriate words to describe what she was thinking)
Sid:(Sighing)"Yes sweetheart she is...well let's say she is very difficult"
Rahul:(Who was quite all this time spoke up)"Ahana.. Preeti... I know you might be confuse let me explain. Seema jiji is..well she had always been a hard headed person. she isn't my real sister. She is my cousin sister. My Chachaji's daughter. She is 10 years older then me. From childhood she has been raised in strict orthodox way. Even now in modern times, she thinks as a women from 80s would think. Maybe it's due to the fact how she was raised. Or maybe even the fact how her life has been after her husband passed away 6 years after her marriage. She has a son. Shivam. He also..Well he went aboard to study and he settled down there with a foreign girl making Jiji hate modern thought more."
Angali:(Continuing after Rahul)"When I was first married to Rahul, My mother in law and father in law treated me like a daughter. Jiji didn't like the freedom and life style I lived in. She didn't approve me for Rahul. She always felt as if I...I was the reason of every unhappiness in the family because 3 weeks after our marriage her ..her parents passed away in a car crash."
Rahul held Angali's hands while Neil, Sid and Rohan jaw tighten as if they remembered something and Shruti looked down at her lap. Ahana and Preeti looked at Angali will sadness in their eyes. Rahul gave Angali a reassuring nod before he turned towards Ahana and Preeti.
Rahul:"Mom and Dad had a great relationship with Chachaji and Chachiji. They felt like after everything, they were responsible for Jiji. They would always treat jiji with utter most care. After her husband died, They became more protective of her. So whenever jiji said something regarding Angali, they couldn't do a thing. They were stuck. It's not like they didn't love Angali. I still remember mom blaming herself for all the harsh words Angali had to hear one day."
Angali:"I didn't mind. mom and Dad were amazing and We only met Jiji few times a month. I was okay with things. I had a hard time convincing Rahul but after few promises here and there he also stopped answering back to jiji. Though I Still remember your anger everytime something happens"
Rahul:(frowned)"So what am I supposed to do. Your my wife Angali. Your my life. I can't hear anyone talk bullshit about you. Heck no husband should. No matter if it's his own family "
Angali:"Shhh it's okay Rahul calm down"(Rahul closed his eyes as everyone started at them in admiration. There love was truly beautiful. Ahana had noticed how much love and care They have for each other. They were true definition of love for life time. Sometimes she hoped that Neil and her would be the same when thet grew old.)
Rahul:(Turning to others)"Sorry... so where was I.. Yeah. Jiji didn't change at all She didn't have any problems with The men of the house but she had great problems with how women should behave in a house. Soon After Rohan, Neil and Sid were born. She was happy with Angali for a while. Now Happy wouldn't be the right word. She was satisfied that all 3 of them were boys. But her taunts and comment didn't stop"
Angali:"When Sid turned 10, Dad passed away. And Few years after mom also passed away. Jiji started visiting us less. More like 3 or 4 times a year or so. As the kids grew and became the age of marriage,We thought she would have calmed down or changed, but nothing changed."(She sighs)
Rahul:"When rohan's marriage was fixed with Shruti, They had 5- 6 months in between their engagement and marriage dates. 2 weeks before the marriage Jiji came to stay with us and..."
Rohan:"And She created such a fuss in my marriage"(He said in anger)
Preeti:"What happened in your wedding bhabhi"
Shruti:"A..actually..I.."(tears filled her eyes. Rohan, who sat next to her, Pulled her into a side hug)
