Neil rushed out of his room and run outside to the car area. On his way, He messaged the driver not to come. He came outside to see Ahana sitting swing hanging in the front porch waiting for the driver. She was staring at her phone with a sad soft smile. Neil slowly approached her. Neil saw her looking at a picture of Him and her with the kids. In the picture. Neil was tickling Ansh and Naira while Aryan was hiding behind Ahana who was laughing. A soft chuckled left his throat remembering the day. Ahana jumped seeing him leaning over her shoulder.
Ahana:"Ahh..n..Neil... W..what.. are... yo..you doing..here?"(She stuttered)
Neil:(smiled and mimicked her)"Y..y..yes ..m.me A..aha..Ahana"(She looked down embarrassed while he smiled at her cuteness)"Common let's go get the kids"
Ahana:"Kids? but I was going with the driver."
Neil:(as he headed to his car)"The driver is not coming"
Ahana:"what?"(She starts to open her phone to message when she feels Neil hold her hand and take her to the car)
Neil:(Sternly)"Ahana just sit in the car or we will be late to pick the kids up"( Neil knew that hearing his stern voice she would do as he said and she did exactly that.)
The car ride to school was pretty boring. Neil tried to have conversation with her but she just answered in yes or no or hmm. He couldn't do much as he needed to focus on driving instead of her at the moment.
As they reached the school, Neil parked the car in the waiting area. Before he could turn and talk to her, she went out towards where the kids stood while Neil sighs. Neil got out of the car as he saw the kids run and hug Ahana while she took their bags and the 4 of them walked towards the car. A smile came in his face seeing Ahana laugh at what Ansh said.
Aryan:"Papa!"(He said running towards Neil to hug him along with the other 2 munchkins )
The kids settled in the car as everyone started to drive home, or so they thought. Ahana was busy listening to the kids talk when she saw that Neil parked the car in a park area. She looked confused while the kids jumped seeing the park.
Naira:"Papa park!"
Neil:"Yes princess. It's been a while since we have family time. Just the 5 of us. Now common who wants to play"(The kids yelled in excitement as they ran of while Ahana and Neil also got out of the car.)
Neil went in whispered something in Aryan ears before heading to Ahana and holding her hands and dragging her to the end of the park, behind the tree, where it was mostly empty and no one could disturb them.
Ahana:"Neil..What are you doing? The kids"
Neil:"Don't worry. I can see them from here and Nothing will happen to them. As for you and me. We need to talk"
Ahana:(Understanding what he needs to talk about)"Neil I don't want to talk about it. I ...I I know you hate me. I am fine with that. Just plz don't ..."
Neil:(cutting her off)"Who said I hate you?"(Ahana looked on confused)"I could never hate you Ahana.(He sighs as he holds her hand in his)"loving someone isn't a crime. I know few hours back at home when you opened your heart out, you would have wanted me to console you but I didn't. And I am sorry for that. I was just too stunned. I am not gonna lie I did feel that I could never love you, but I never hated you for loving me. Ahana I.. always felt like it would be me cheating on Aarti if I love someone else. I can understand that somewhere in your heart you felt the same when you recognize you love for me."
Ahana looks down remembering her guilt about Rajeev. Neil uses in of his hand and lifts her chin up making her look at him.
Neil:"It's not wrong Ahana. You have the right to move on. To find happiness and so do I"(Ahana looked at him) Yes Ahana I may not love you now, But I know for a fact that I am falling in love with you. I want to give our relationship a chance. I want to gives us a chance. I want to explore what ever this is with you. Will you give me this chance? Will you let me fall in love with you? "
Ahana:(She smiled as tears ran down her eyes)"Neil I...yes.."(Neil smiled as he cupped her face and wiped her tears while she just looked at him with loving eyes)"Can..can I hug you?"
Neil:(laughed)"of course "(he said opening his arms while she wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in his neck while his hands wrapped around her waist. They broke the hug and Neil kissed Ahana's forehead as a promise. A Promise to give her what she deserved. A promise to be with her forever. A promise to give them a chance. A small kiss meant alot for them.)
Aryan:"Mummaaa."(They turned to see the kids waving at them. Neil and Ahana broke apart and wiped their tears as they rejoined their kids.)
Ansh:"Mumma I am hungry"
Neil:"Lets go eat something." He said picking Ansh in his arms)"What do you want?"
Naira:"Gol gape!"(Ahana and Neil laughed as the kids yelled in excitement)
They walked to where the car is parked. Neil had seen few stalls beforehand. He looked around and saw a pani puri stall.
Neil:"Bhaiya do plate Pani puri dena" "Bhaiya 2 plates pani puri please"
Ahana:"make one plate less spicy for kids"(The man nodded as he served them.)
The family enjoyed eating pani puri. After eating they headed back to their car to head home. In the car, As the kids were busy in the back Ahana turned to Neil.
Ahana:"Neil, do you remember Prabha maa called today?"
Neil:"Yeah"
Ahana:"She wanted to see if we could let the kids stay at her place for tonight as tomorrow is a holiday
Neil:"Tomorrow is a holiday?"
Ahana:"Yeah did you forget. Tomorrow exams start for 9- 12 kids. They give leave to younger kids due to it."
Neil:"Oh yeah. Sure they can go."
Ahana:"alright I'll text maa to come pick them up"
Ansh:"We are going to Prabha dadi's house "
Ahana:"Yes. ( the kids yelled in excitement)"But remember to behave. Don't make Dadi and Dadu tired okay. "
Ansh/Aryan/Naira:"Okay Mummaa"(They said in a singing way)
As they reached home, The kids ran inside to change up and pack their bags to leave.
Ahana:"Ansh..Naira...slowly"
She said as she took all their bags from the car. As she was about to close the door she felt Neil behind her. She turned to see Neil taking 2 bags from her. As he looked up, he realized how close they were. Even after realizing, neither of them moved back. Instead they stood there, staring into each other's eyes. They heard a car enter the driveway making them snap out of their eye lock and move back.
Prabha and Sanjeev pulled into the drive way. It was around 7 in the evening. The sun had started to set.
Ahana:(Running and hugging Prabha)"Maa.."
Prabha:"What happened? Today my daughter looks really happy "
Ahana:(Blushing)"Ahh n..nothing"
Neil:(who came behind her and hugged Sanjeev while taking blessings from them as well)"Nothing Maa. She just happy because she got to eat her favorite, Pani Puri. It makes her act like a kid"(He teased her remembering how she eat Pani puri like a kid at the stall)
Ahana:(Slightly hitting him on hand)"Shut up. I was just enjoy the food. Stop making fun of me"
Neil:(Laughs)"Alright alright .(turning to Sanjeev)"Let's head inside papa"(Sanjeev and Neil started to walk inside while Prabha looked at Ahana with a raised eyebrow to which she blushed.)
Ahana:"Common maa"
Prabha:"first tell me what's going on?"(She teased)
Ahana:"I'll tell you come"
They headed inside. Everyone welcomed Prabha and Sanjeev. Angali demanded that they have dinner before leaving. So as per her demand, Sanjeev and Prabha had dinner along with everyone. After dinner, Sanjeev and Rahul got busy with their discussion. Ahana said she would go and see if the kids packed everything while Prabha accompanied her.
Prabha:(As Ahana packed few extra things for Naira while explaining to Prabha about their habits)"I know Ahana. Remember I used to stay with Ansh mostly every night"
Ahana:"I know maa and I am not worried about Ansh. Even Aryan is big enough, but Naira. I just hope she doesn't have much problem. I know you will take care of them perfectly."
Prabha:"yeah I will don't worry. Now tell me did something happen between you and Neil. Your relationship seem...improved "
Ahana:(Making Prabha sit on the bed)"Few things happened maa. From past a week and a half things were happening. Maa I...I realized that I love Neil."
Prabha:(Excitedly)"What! Really omg Ahana that so Amazing"
Ahana:(Smiles at her mother's excitement )"Yeah maa it is. But I was scared..."
Prabha:"Scared?"
Ahana sighs as she sits down next to Prabha and tells her everything regarding what happened in the last week. How she was scared and ignored Neil. All her doubts her insecurities. She also told Prabha today's events.
Ahana:"So we decided to give our relationship a proper chance"
Prabha:"Neil is right beta. Rajeev was ur past and he is your future. You did no sin in loving him. I am happy that you both are finally giving each other a chance"
Ahana:"yeah maa I am happy too."(Ahana stood up and she picked Aryan cap from the floor to place it on the shelf when Prabha eyes went on a picture of a lady. Seeing the picture her eyes widen)
Prabha:"A..Ahana who is this"
Ahana:"oh this. (She smiles as she takes the photo in her hands)"Maa this is Aarti ji. Neil's first wife"
Prabha:"Neil's first wife?"(She asked in shock)
Ahana:"yeah maa what happened ?"
Prabha:"No..nothing. Beta I thing we should leave"
Ahana:"Yeah wait I'll get the kids. They probably are with Neil."
Ahana left for her room. As she entered she saw Neil laying on the bed with with Naira sitting on his stomach. Next to him Aryan and Ansh were playing a game of snakes and ladders.
Ansh:"Ohhhh"(As he got bit by a snake and went back to the bottom)
Ahana:"Ansh..Aryan Naira.... common it's time to go. Dadi and dadu are waiting for you."
Kids:"Okay."(The kids run outside while Neil and Ahana follow)
In hall...
Everyone was present. The kids had a backpack on them which Ahana packed. Prabha and Sanjeev looked a little tensed but no one seemed to notice.
Ahana:"Okay kids. Don't be naughty and sleep on time."
Kids:"okay mumma byeeee"(They said as they hugged Ahana before hugging before and heading out with Prabha and Sanjeev)

Important Note: Guys, as I said in the last update, By the end of this week I would be traveling. We are moving houses and for the past month I Have been busy with all that. Though I was still able to get time to write and update my stories. But after moving to another house in another country I am not sure how long before I can give another update. For sure it will take about 1 month max. So I just wanted to let you guys knows that I won't be able to update this story until around july 20, 2021 or so. If I get internet and free time then I will surely start updating early. This is the last update until july 20 or so as I will be moving tomorrow.
