Ahana was deep in thought as everyone eat ice cream. If they had succeeded or not will not be discovered until next morning. Atleast Aryan had opened up to them. This would help alot. Ahana's thoughts were broken by Aryan.
Aryan:"Mumma you won't eat ice cream "
Ahana:(Smiles )"no baby. I don't feel like eating it you eat "
Aryan:"Maa one bite.(He said give his ice cream scoop to Ahana )
Ahana:"Ahh okay only one"(Aryan fed one bite to Ahana. Seeing this Neil smile)
Ansh:"Mummaaaa"(He said running in while Prabha and Sanjeev follow behind with Naira in Sanjeev's arms)
Prabha looks at Ahana who nods with a smile as if telling her that everything went well. Prabha and Sanjeev had dinner with the Malhotras before leaving home. Ahana send the kids to sleep in their room before heading to help Shruti and Preeti with the cleaning up of the kitchen and dishes.
Shruti:"Ahana you go see if the kids are sleeping or not. I'll finish this of and turn of the lights. Preeti you can also go"
Ahana:"Alright bhabhi"
Preeti:"Bhabhi I'll check the main gate before going so you don't have to"
Shruti:"Okay.."
Ahana bid bye to them and heads to The kids room. She enters to see Naira and Ansh sleeping on the bunkbed while Aryan sleeping on Naira's bed with Neil laying next to him patting his head as he himself was half sleep.
Ahana smiles seeing this. Ahana and Neil both had been sleeping with the kids for the last week. They didn't want to leave Aryan alone at night but also couldn't ask him to sleep with them everyday or the other kids will want to do so too and then it will just be for nothing.
Ahana sits on the study table area of the kids as she rests her head on the table. Soon enough she dozes off.
Next morning...
Neil woke up next morning and rubbed his eyes as he focused his vision came into focus. He looked around and saw the kids still asleep. He looked at his phone as saw it was 6:30 in the morning. Neil looks at Aryan.
Neil:(In his mind)" Aryan didn't get nightmares tonight."(He slowly lifted the blanket and saw that the bed was perfectly fine.)"He didn't wet the bed today. "(A grin came on his face as he kissed Aryan's forehead before turning to see Ahana sleeping on the table in a stiff position.)
Neil went towards Ahana and as he was about to wake her up, he saw her hair stands on her which was irritating her was she kept frowning in her sleep. He smiled as he bend down and moved her hair strand and tugged it behind her ears. He looked at her face as she looke beautiful sleeping peacefully. He didn't even know when his hands went to her face. Ahana moves in her sleep causing Neil jerk up as he moves far from her. Ahana opens her eyes as she sees a Neil standing in front of her who was not even looking in her eyes.
Ahana:"(As she realized they are in the kids room)"Neil..Aryan..did he..I mean.."
Neil:"Ahana he..he.."
Ahana:"Neil common tell me."(She said looking at him with a tensed face)
Neil:(Smiling)"No he didn't wet the bed and nor did he have nightmares. Your plan worked"
Ahana:"OH MY GOD "
Neil:"Shhh"(He said pointing at the kids)
Ahana:(whispering)"Oh..sorry...omg he ..it worked"(She said slightly jumping as she ran into Neil's arms and hugged him tightly in excitement while Neil froze. He soon smiles hugging her back.)
After few mins Ahana understand what she did and she moves back looking down in embarrassment.
Ahana:"I..I am sorry..I.. gotto go"(She ran out of the room making Neil sighs)
Neil:(He looks at Aryan and thinks in his mind)"we fixed Aryan's problem now I have to focus on Ahana. From that day she has been trying to distance herself from me. I don't know why. I noticed that when ever she forgets everything and starts to spend some time with me and the kids and really be her, She remembers something and she distances her self from me. I gotta get to the end of this. What happened that she started doing this."
Neil freshened up before waking the kids up and helping them get dressed. Today was Monday and the kids had school so Neil dressed them up. He noticed that Ahana wasn't staying in a room where he was present for more then 10 seconds. He smirked as he messaged his dad something.
Ahana:(As she stuffed The kids bag with their lunch boxes)"Ansh you better finish you food. I don't want to see leftovers"
Ansh:"But maa, You give too much"
Ahana:"No I don't. Naira eats the same amount as you and she is few months younger. Now common give mumma a kiss"(The kids Grinned as they kissed Ahana's cheeks one by one before running of to sit in Neil's car as he was going to drop them off)
After Neil left with the kids, Ahana went to help serve breakfast to the men. Neil came back after few mins and settled down on table as Ahana served him. They all eat breakfast. After breakfast Sid and Rohan started to leave for office along with Rahul while Neil sat on the sofa in the hall confusing Ahana.
Ahana:"Maa why isn't Neil going with Everyone ?"
Angali:"How do I know Ahana. He is you husband you should know na"
Ahana:"I..ah.."(Ahana looked down while everyone laughed)
Sid:(Coming and kissing Preeti cheeks before taking a glass of water)"Alright I am going"(Preeti blushed while Ahana and Shruti smiled)
Angali:(Holding sid's ears)"You shameless boy..You have not shame right. Romancing with you wife in front of your bhabhi and maa"(She said in a teasing way)
Sid:"Ahh ah maa it hurts. Plus what's wrong with romancing with my wife. I have seen Dad and you do it too"(Angali blushed as she left sid ears and hit him on his head while the girls laughed )
Neil:(Entering the kitchen)"Sid go dad is waiting for you. and Message me if anything happens "
Sid:"Alright bhai. Enjoy your day off"(He said running outside)
Ahana:"Day off?"(Neil looked at Ahana who closed her mouth and started looking at the floor as if it was the most beautiful thing in the world)
Shruti:"Neil you took a day off"
Neil:(Leaning on the counter )"Yes bhabhi"
Angali:"Why?"
Neil:"Just like that maa. I thought to spend some time with the beautiful ladies if this house "(He said looking at Ahana while All the other 3 girls realized what is happening )
Preeti:(teasing)"Oh you don't have to lie bhaiya. You can say that you wanted to spend some alone time with bhabhi.."
Ahana:"I..I.. gotta go.."(She run away towards her room while Neil smiled but soon his smile faded as he looked at the other 3 ladies looking at him with a teasing smile )
Neil:"I.. ah..maa..i..actually...i have to use the bathroom "(He said running of from there while Angali Shruti and Preeti laughed)
Angali:"These 2 are mad"
Shruti:"I hope now they both sort everything out"
Angali:"Do you know something Shruti that we don't know. I mean I noticed that Ahana is trying to ignore Neil but I don't understand why"
Shruti:"Maa your daughter in law realized she is in love with Your son"
Angali:(Excitedly )"What really "
Preeti:"Really then what the problem "
Shruti:(Sighs)"That the problem. As she realized that she loves him she also realised that this shouldn't have happened "
Preeti:"what?"
Shruti:"Preeti do you remember what Ahana and Neil decided before they got married . They decided that they would only get married for the kids. They would never be able to give each other love and the position of husband and wife."
Angali:(realizing everything)"And now that Ahana as fallen in love she things that if Neil gets to know this he would start to hate her and she can't handle that"
Shruti:"Exactly. that's why she is ignoring him. I told her that she wouldn't be able to do this all the time. She should talk to him. Falling in love is not a crime but she didn't listen. she is too scared."
Angali:" oh god. I just hope they sort things out"
Preeti:"So that's why bhaiya took a day of to talk to bhabhi"
Shruti:"Yeah he is been trying to do so for 1 week now but Ahana dodged it due to Aryan's problem but now Neil doesn't have to worry about anything so he can focus fully on Ahana"
Angali:"I just hope that when Neil gets to know all this he doesn't distance himself from her. Neil is finally starting to act like he used to before Aarti's death. I don't want that to change and neither do I want my daughter to get hurt. Oh god please keep you hand on my Neil and Ahana and their relationship"
Meanwhile in Neil and Ahana's room..
Ahana enters her room and was About to lock the door when Neil enters. He come in and locks the door shocking Ahana.
Ahana:"Wh.. what are you doing I.. need to go out"
Neil:" No..Today neither you nor I will be able to leave this room before we clarify few things between us and get everything the same as it was before that incident"
Ahana:"neil..listen "
Neil:"No Ahana you listen. I can't handle this. why are you ignoring me. did I do something "
Ahana:"No"
Neil:"Then what happened "
Ahana:"Nothing Neil. Everything is fine"(she said as she started to head to the door, but Neil held her hand and pulled her towards him causing her to collide with his chest as her heartbeat raised)"Neil.."
Neil:"Tell me Ahana what happened...Your silence is breaking me..I can't handle it.. Please Ahana"(he whispered as Ahana's breathing fastens due to their closeness )
