Chapter 17: You Will Be Shot Directly

Ai Changhuan was annoyed by him, because she was apparently treated as a cargo and carried arbitrarily by him.
That hurt her self-esteem.
Ai changhuan seized the front of the jacket of Lu Zhanke, menacingly asked, âDo you have other new tricks? You do this every time!â
Lu Zhanke did not stop, âItâs useful.â
Ai Changhuan was so angry that when she passed the living room, she said, âItâs no use forcing me, if I donât eat.â
âIâm not going to force you to eat.â Lu Zhanke turned into the bathroom, then bent over and threw Ai Changhuan into the bathtub. âIâm going to force you to take a bath.â
The warm water immediately permeated the clothes and touched the skin. AI Changhuan jumped up from the bathtub and said, âI donât want to take a bath either!â In fact, as soon as she came home, she wanted to take a bath. How could she bear that her face was covered with ashes? But she had just had a quarrel with Lu Zhanke, so she didnât have a good time to take a bath and sat on the ground sulking. Now itâs just a gamble with Lu Zhanke.
Lu Zhanke raised his eyebrows and turned on the shower again: âItâs ok to wash standing.â
Ai Changhuan was sprayed wet over her head by water, âYou are forcing me. I canât tell you what Iâll do if you push me too hard.â
âOh, what will you do?
âI⦠Ah!â Ai Changhuan wiped a handful of water off her face and shouted, âYou, go out!â
Lu Zhanke calmly turned around, but he felt like laughing.
When the bathroom door was closed, Ai Changhuan sat down in the bathtub with chagrin. Why did she lose every time she argued with him?
By the time Ai Changhuan came out, Lu Zhanke had already had lunch prepared, and changed his uniform into camouflage, with a bulging bag beside him.
He adjusted his clothes and said to Ai Changhuan, âI will go out for training. You, stay at home and donât run about. This is a military district. If you wander into a wrong place by mistake, youâll be shot before I come to your rescue, you know?â
Hearing that, Ai Changhuan began to worry. It was a place she knew very little about, the only person she knew, though she had always been against him and disliked him, was Lu Zhanke and she felt she should go now, but she felt something strange. It was like being abandoned.
Ai Changhuan quickly shook her head and drove those ridiculous ideas out of her mind.
She asked, âYouâ¦â¦wellâ¦â¦how long will you stay there?â
Lu Zhanke paused and looked at Ai Changhuan with some amusement: âWhat, you start to miss me before I leave?â
Ai Changhuan calmly denied: âno.â
âOh.â He added, a little disappointed, âThat must be fear. Donât worry, as long as youâre obedient. I will ask the Pei, sister-in-law, to take care of you. Donât worry too much.â Ai Changhuan coughed sheepishly, and felt vaguely that he was chary. She meant to say thank you, but because of the pride, she did not speak out.
Outside the door came the sound of a car. Lu Zhankeâs guard Qiao Sheng drove to pick him up.
