So I just wanted to clear things up as I realised the ending for the last chapter might have been a little confusing:
Jason Collins- Soon-to-be Alpha.
Although he is the soon-to-be Alpha, he is doing most of the pack work as he will be taking over soon.
James Collins- Current Alpha of the pack. (Stalker)
-------------------------------------------------------
(Katherine's POV)
I stared at him.
My eyes focused on his; my face void of any emotions; my body absolutely still; no emotion visible in my eyes.
I was hit by the hard force of reality: he had broken me.
The James Collins had broken me.
He had broken me and I have only come to realise it now.
I should be crying from all the emotions flowing through me and that keep building every second...but I can't.
Why should I cry or express emotion?
Why should I cry aloud and shout and scream at him?
Isn't suffering loudly and crying out the same thing as suffering without crying out, but instead you suffer in silence, with no one knowing that you are, in fact, in pain?
If I am going to suffer, why should I give him the satisfaction to see me in pain?
It would show that he had won.
And I will not give him the gratification and contentment to see that he had, in fact, won.
He walked into the room, with his heavy footsteps, but paused at the table with the pictures of the women, man and baby strewn all over it.
A deep chuckle left his mouth as he picked up the pictures I had taken down from the wall.
"Ah, well I see that you have...discovered some things" he said, still staring at the pictures, "haven't you, princess?"
I kept quiet.
He knew that I had figured it out.
That I was adopted; that I was abandoned; that the women in all those pictures is my biological mother; that the parents that were in my life weren't my real parents; that my life was a complete and utter lie.
But now...I wanted answers.
I didn't care if I was exhausted.
I needed the answers. I needed an explanation for all this.
I watched as he slowly placed placed the pictures back on the table and tapped his fingers against it.
"Hmmm", he murmured.
He then turned towards me, staring into my forest green eyes, and tilted his head slightly, examining my face for any sign of emotions or anything that will tell him something.
"No matter. It just means I'll have to tell you my plan earlier than scheduled" he shrugged nonchalantly.
He slowly walked towards me before crouching down to my level, keeping eye contact.
"Hm, I expect you want answers?"
I didn't reply.
"Well, you must have questions. Don't want to ask them?"
I remained silent and he raised an eye brow.
"Well then, I'll just simplify explain everything and if you have any questions then you may ask."
I watched as he walked to the desk, pulling out its chair, before making his way towards me with it and sat a inches away from me.
I continued to stare at him but I was wary.
He could make up a make up a story, that was completely untrue or, at least, partly true.
I won't be able to believe a word he says unless I get a more reliable source.
But at least I will be able to see how he sees this whole...situation.
He stared at me, before smirking, and cleared his throat.
"Once upon a time, there was a man called James. And James was a were-um-very important person. He controlled a...company, but only partly, and in order to get full control of the whole company, from his father, he had to be married and have someone to bare his child: the next heir.
However, it was hard for James as he believed in soul mates. He believed everyone had one and he was looking for his. He couldn't leave his company to look for her because he had to continue running it so that resulted in a problem: he wasn't able to find his soul mate.
One day, a beautiful women came to town. She was absolutely stunning an was kind-hearted as well as generous. Luck seemed to be on James' side as he had finally found her: his soul mate.
He asked her out but she refused saying she wasn't interested and that although she believed in soul mates, that she wasn't his.
However, after some...persuading, she agreed to go out with him and they had gotten married after a year.
She later fell pregnant and gave birth to a son and names him Jason.
After 2 years, there was a terrible incident: she had died in a car crash.
But, in fact, she hadn't died. She had faked her death to go away with a man that was apparently her 'soul mate' but I was her soul mate".
He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes trying to, from what I could see, suppress his anger and then opened his eyes and carried.
"She came back after 5 years, but with a baby girl in her hands and covered herself so no one would recognise her and left the baby at a doorstep. It just happened to be the neighbour of James.
During this...drop off James was home and somehow knew she was back and peeped out the window and saw everything.
He took pictures and for the rest of the day he thought over everything and realised that she had faked her death to be with someone else.
Obviously, James could not let her get away with this so he divised a plan, which resulted her in losing her life as well as her 'soul mates' life" he shrugged at the end while I was left gaping at him.
"Yo-you killed h-her?" I whispered in horror.
"Yes" he dead panned.
I stared at him in hock not being able to speak.
"Anyway, once she was dead and out of the way James realised something: he had a second chance.
He realised that he could have another soul mate...her name was Katherine" he said as he smirked at me, while my eyes widened.
"So, while James tried to get close to her while she was a child her adoptive parents tried to keep her away from him.
James then realised that they were a problem and they had to be out of the way.
So, James devised another pan which included a 'accidental car crash' and them being dead, leaving Katherine to James.
And they all lived happily ever after. The end" he finished.
I stared at the ground wide eyed and tears started streaming down my face.
I bought a shaky hand up to my mouth to cover and stop a sob from escaping.
I uncovered my mouth and looked up at him.
He stared at me, his head tilted, and was smirking at me.
"You k-killed them. You monster!" I screamed.
He stood up from the chair, still smirking.
"Aw, as that any way to speak to your soul mate?" he said, while picking up the chair and placing it behind the desk, after walking towards it.
"I am not your f*cking soul mate! You're a monster and I'm glad that mum got away from you while she could!" I screamed angrily.
His smirk vanished and he...growled?
"I'm going to leave you alone for a couple of hours so you can calm down" he said furiously before storming to the door before slamming the door.
And I was left crying into my hands thinking about my adoptive, as well as my biological, parents.
As I thought about how it was my fault they had died.
