This chapter is in Jason's POV (AKA Alpha)!!! P.S. Sorry for very later update.
----------------------------------------------------------
(Jason's POV)
I was sitting on my chair, sorting through pack files.
I ran a hand through my hair frustrated with all the files I still needed to get through.
However, even with all these files, I still make sure that I have time to check on my pack to make sure everyone is doing okay; spend time with my friends even if it's just for a little bit; talk to other pack Alphas to keep a close bond and have some free time to myself.
It takes a lot of work being Alpha but I'm proud that I am and I'm proud that I have such a wonderful pack to look after with my life. I'd do anything to protect them.
I smiled to myself at the thought of how I'll be Alpha soon and will be able to take care of such a wonderful pack.
I shook my head getting rid of any thoughts before focusing on the pack files.
Once I had gotten through at least 4 in 2 hours I heard someone running towards my door, and immediately stood up confused.
My Beta, Dean, burst in through the door panting. His hair was messed up and he had a cut along his eyebrow that was bleeding.
I immediately became on alert.
"Rogues", he said before straightening up ready for orders.
I straightened my back and started walking through my house, down the stairs with him following.
"Link the pack members and tell them the situation. Say all women with children should get to the safe house and all fighters should immediately move to the clearing, as I presume that's where they are?" I ask.
He nodded.
"Tell them to be ready. We have humans to protect as well. Where are Becky and the girls?" I asked as we stepped out the door.
"They're at Katherine's at a sleepover" someone said towards my right.
Jay, Sebastian and Ronnie, my best fighters, made their way towards us.
I nodded at them.
It was best they stay there as they'll be able to protect Katherine at least, and if any rogues got into the town they'd be the first to help along with some other pack fighters that were staying behind, but they were the best women fighters we had so they'd be able to kill at least 10 each before the other fighters even got to where the rogues had gotten to.
I still don't know why my wolf is so protective of Katherine and thinks of her as a pack member when she's not a wolf.
But what gets to me most is that my wolf may actually care more about her than my pack members, which is bizarre. She's not even my mate.
I shook my head from my thoughts before turning and walking towards the forest with the others following.
I changed into my huge black wolf and turned towards the boys, who had also changed, nodding and we took off running towards the clearing.
We ran as fast as we could and soon I heard other paws behind me. My pack.
We raced through the forest and soon got to the clearing where we saw an army of rogues.
I growled.
How dare they be on my territory, filthy mutts!
The rogues growled back and my pack did too, protecting me.
It was an offence to growl at an Alpha and could be punished if it is a growl that is not a close person to the Alpha.
In this case it was and their punishment was easy...death.
I searched the crowd, looking for a leader, and a brown coloured wolf with diet all over him stood forward.
He then growled before charging forward, his rogue pack following.
I snarled at him, causing him to back away a few steps before shaking his head and continued running at me.
'Leave no one alive', I said through the pack link and we charged.
My pack immediately started attacking the rogues and I went straight for their leader.
We clashed together and started snarling at each other trying to bite each others throat.
I managed to scratch him deep on his stomach and Used my hind legs to push him off me with as much force as I could.
He fell to to the ground, whimpering, giving me an opportunity to bite one of his legs, causing him to whine in pain.
I let go of his legs only to try and bite his neck for a quick kill but he stood up quickly and scratched me.
I stepped back a few steps, growling at him, but a wolfy smirk made its way onto my face as I saw how he was limping and almost quivering in pain.
I looked down at the leg that he had scratched and saw that it wasn't that deep and was already healing.
I looked up at the wolf again, seeing fear flash through his eyes before determination and anger replaced it.
He growled at me before charging at me, as best as he could, with his wounded leg as he could.
I shook my head at him.
Never let your feelings get in the way of a fight.
When he had reached me a dodged him causing him to skid to a halt because of the speed he was running towards me, which was pretty fast considering his leg.
He was facing away from me and I used this to my advantage by jumping onto his back and biting down onto it.
He fell to the ground, as he howled out in pain, allowing me to put my wolfs weight on him to keep him still.
He whimpered as I was also putting pressure on his wounded leg.
I bit down on his back harder causing him to howl again, before I quickly flipped him around so he was was facing me, and put my weight on him once more to stop him from moving
He looked at me with fear in his eyes but I looked at him with no emotion with one thought running through my mind:
No one comes onto my territory without my permission and tries to harm my pack.
With that, I growled at him before biting deep into his neck causing the metallic taste of blood to fill my mouth and him to go limp.
I got off him and was almost immediately attacked.
I quickly killed the rogue before one after another started attacking me causing me to kill one after another.
They must be p*ssed I killed their leader.
I killed from left to right and soon I wasn't being attacked anymore.
I guess they knew no one was a match for me.
My wolf soon became still as it sensed something or someone near.
I sniffed the air lightly before shooting me head towards the forests' edge.
I looked along there, feeling as if I was being watched but found nothing.
I continued to stare but was taken back to reality when I heard a pained and loud howl.
My eyes widened. It was a call for the Alpha.
I immediately raced off through the forest willing my wolf to o as fast as he could.
The howl continued and I followed it, trying to get to it.
I soon got to the forest edge and realised the howl was coming from Katherine's house.
So many thoughts raced through my mind like:
What happened?
Is everyone okay?
Is someone hurt?
I must be serious if they used the call of the Alpha.
But one thought stood out the most:
Is Katherine okay?
