"Paa, stop it!" Vikram whined while Meenakshi laughed her heart out, seeing the father-duo banter out. Meenakshi and Vikram had come back late in the night and had immediately slept off after having a small meal. They had woken up a little behind their usual time and wanted to visit their father the first thing. They had surprised him in his chambers and he was delighted to see them. He called for their breakfast and wanted all of them to eat together. Vikram had also sent a message to dismiss the court for today, mentioning that they were tired from the travel and would resume their duties from the day after. Raja Chandra Verma was having the best time of his life complaining about his son who had been sick in her absence, barking at everyone like a wounded puppy, and missing her desperately. Everyone in the palace were evident of their love and could see that Vikram struggled without her, but remained quiet not wanting to add to his misery.
"Why should I? She should know what I went through when she wasn't here. You are just a baby without her, crying for every small thing, oh wait, I forgot something important. Do you know that he slept draping your sarees around him in your absence? Oh my god, somedays, he would come here and sleep with me saying that I am alone and he wanted to give me company while some days he would work hard at night." Vikram glared at him for revealing such secrets, his misery in her absence. Meenakshi was surprised to hear this. She knew that Vikram would miss her just the way she missed him, but she didn't know that he would be miserable. "The moment he would receive your letter, everyone around him would be dismissed, including me. He would only tell us that you are fine and in this place. That's all. And in the court, he would implement new new things." He punched Vikram's shoulders playfully making Vikram feign hurt playfully. "It took me some time to understand that it was all because of something you had advised him or told him. Such a trouble he is. I don't know how you handle him all the time with a smile on your face." He said, making Vikram scowl.
"You are seriously complaining about me to my wife Paa. She has no complaints, so why should you?" Vikram asked, pouting adorably, making Meenakshi laugh heartily. "You know what we are done here. If someone asks for an audience and it's urgent, go ahead and deal with it. Don't disturb us now."
Meenakshi and Vikram's father laughed heartily while Vikram pulled her out to their chambers.
"You are laughing at your husband's misery." Vikram pulled her closer by her waist, making her gasp, stopping her laughter. "Is that what a wife is supposed to do? Shouldn't she be supporting him?" Vikram asked, his lips brushing hers.
"Shouldn't I be even better and support her family? Her father should be her priority, rather than her husband who knows how to take care of himself." She teased, playing with the collar of his kurta.
"What if this husband wants to be taken care of?" He asked, his fingers slipping between the pleats of her saree. He held them in a tight fist, his eyes on hers, silently asking for permission. Seeing no hesitation from her, his hand tugged them making the saree undone. She stood still looking at him as did he. He smirked, seeing her in a trance. He bent forward and bit her earlobe gently making her gasp, bringing her out of a trance. She pushed him away and headed inside to the bathing chambers but Vikram caught her pallu. She held them at her shoulders preventing them from slipping away. Seeing the victorious smile on his face, she let go of the fabric, making it swirl around her body, until it was in his hands, leaving her bare in her blouse and petticoat. It was her turn to smirk, knowing that he had lost a grip over her, she walked inside knowing that he would be on her tail following her.
What then followed was a heated session as they spilled all the water in the tub, as they tried to satiate the burning thirst to quench each other. Vikram caressed her arm as they sat in the tub, she shivered in response to his touch.
"Are you cold?" He asked, as she found her reaction amusing.
"No, it's just that...nothing. I am not cold." She said, leaning further into him.
"What is it then?" He insisted, despite knowing the answer.
"What is it for you?" She turned around in his embrace. "You like teasing me, don't you?" She huffed and turned back folding her arms in front of her naked chest, pouting. Vikram laughed softly, as he placed a soft kiss on her neck, making her sigh in content. He smiled to himself seeing how expressive she was for his touch. He kissed her again, this time his lips stayed on her neck for a few seconds before he pulled away.
"Vikram!" She laughed, playfully swatting his hand on hers.
"Meena!" He whispered sensually in her ears, in the same tone as she called him.
"Whaâwhat?" She struggled to find words as goosebumps shot through her body at his voice.
"I like the way you react when I call your name, when I touch you, when you sense my presence. It looks as if your body likes to be with me all the time. How about we stay like this forever?"
"We are always going to stay like this forever. Just not in the bathtub." Vikram raised his brows in question, seeing her satire. "We shall catch a cold and you shall whine like a baby." She stood up quickly and stepped out of the tub, pinching his cheeks like he was a baby. He frowned and swatted her hand, but she was far away from him, laughing cheekily at him. He felt himself smile involuntarily at her heartfelt laughter. Soon he joined her, laughing together, as they stepped out naked, before they wore something on to be discarded later.

I see people reading my story but none of you take time to react, vote or comment. I literally found myself in tears yesterday when I was writing this chapter. I put some effort and make an attempt. The stories are free and unlike others I don't even ask you for anything else, I don't ask you to pay to read my stories or visit some other sites.
I find myself losing hope to write. Is this how I am expected to keep writing, with no applause or encouragement?
I am sorry, but I really hope you guys can be more understanding.
