Dr. Mord looked around, as if he was waiting for something-Charlie Company-to arrive. âCome out, Charlie,â he said with a laugh, but there were no words coming from his mouth.
Then he started to laugh hysterically again. âThe rest of your friends are taking a long time to arrive,â he said, checking his watch for some reason, but there was nothing there. âTheyâll be here in a couple of minutes though.â He started to laugh hysterically again. âThatâs all the time I need.â
I was afraid, worried at their arrival.
I didnât want to die. I was terrified of what Dr. Mord would do to them.
Then I felt a hand touch my shoulder.
It was Jonesâ hand.
âDonât worry, youâll be fine,â he said, right by me with his face drenched with sweat, but still smiling. âWeâre going to get you out of this.â
âYou donât understand,â I said, but my voice was barely there. âHe wants me and my friends. You guys are not of his concern.â Jones sighed as he looked at me. âWe will soon,â he said as he looked at me, trying to reassure me.
âBut weâre going to get you out of here first,â he said, his voice shaking. âHe wants us all to watch your friends die.â He looked over at Dr. Mord and then back at me, âThen weâre going to make sure thatâs not the case.â As if he knew what he was going to do, he looked back at Dr. Mord.
.....
âIâm not sure thatâs gonna happen,â I said, feeling the pain and hurt-with tears starting to form in my eyes, âyou saw what he did to us.â
âYeah,â Jones whispered, âbut weâll fight until the bitter end. Weâll stop him from hurting anybody else.â
âI sure hope so,â I said to him as Jones smiled, wiping his face with his shirt before looking back at Dr. Mord.
Then Dr. Mord smiled at us. âI canât wait to watch all your friends die,â he said with a laugh before looking back at me again.
I was surprised by how calm his smile was on his face.
I was scared of the look in his eyes.
âThis is so suspenseful, I love it!â Dr. Mord cheered with a crazed grin, âBut itâs about to end,â he added with a laugh before looking at me and smiling again, âAnd then Iâm going to make your friends die painfully. Oh the pain, oh the pain! Itâs going to be so good,â he said with a laugh before looking back at Jones and then Hanover who looked like they were about to cry.
Then soon enough, FBI agents and September, Nikki and Tisiah rushed towards the room. But then they stopped, with shock blasted on their faces and fear and terror twitching their eyes. Petrified and horrified, they stared at Dr. Mord with fear in their eyes, and they knew it wasnât over.
I stood up as the agents started to take cover behind their backs and began to aim their guns towards Dr. Mord.
âDonât even try to shoot me because my guards here are way more advanced than the pawns guarding this base,â he said with a chuckle, and then he pointed at Fulton and said, âIf you would kindly tell Charlie Company to come in.â Then Dr. Mord turned his attention back to us, and then to the agents as he smiled at us with a wicked smile that seemed to go on forever. âItâs so nice seeing your faces again.â He said with a smile.
Then I looked at him in fear as I felt my knees buckle.
âCome in, Charlie Com-â
âOnly the three kids,â Dr. Mord ordered, âAnd no one else.â
The sound of someone pressing buttons came from the other side as I heard Fulton say, âCharlie Company to Base.â Nikki looked at me with worry, and all I could do was cry, which was embarrassing to myself, but I didnât want to die either so I tried to put on a brave face and not look as terrified as I felt inside my head.
âI want September, Nikki and Tisiah to come inside now,â he ordered, as the three walked in slowly, their eyes wide and filled with fear as they looked back at me. They looked terrified of Dr. Mord and I felt guilty for being one of the reason they were in this situation in the first place. âGreat...â he said with a smile, âIâve been waiting for this moment.â
I looked at them all and then at the agents who looked like they were trying not to make eye contact with Dr. Mord. âAlright guards, bag these three and Connor and Malachi. Take them to the van,â he said, while looking at the guards.
Then guards started to run over towards us with evil smiles on their faces.
And I just knew it wasnât going to end well for us. Suddenly, a big black bag came over my head and my visibility blurred, which made me panic even more as I couldnât see anything-or anyone. My vision went dark as the bag got tighter around my face and I started to panic more and more.
What was happening?
What was happening?!
My vision blurred even more as the bag got tighter around my face.
I couldnât breathe!
I started to cry as I tried to take in air but nothing was working as my lungs started to feel like they were being crushed by someone. Then, I knocked out.

Where was I?
What happened to me?
I woke up, feeling a light sway of what could be some sort of moving object. It wasnât a van-no-that would be quite concerned. It was as if it was on the sea, just moving-oh no. Am I on a boat?! I woke up, finding myself a room that was quite dark. Gray walls, a marbled floor, and a window by the side that seemed to be bulletproof glass. We were on the sea as the waves swept through the air.
I was scared, worried-afraid for my life. What do I do?
But then I heard the door open as I saw Dr. Mord walk inside of the room. Was this the time I was going to die like he predicted or threatened or promised or whatever youâd call it? But then when I read his eyes, he was subtle, like a normal man. It was as if he was normal. Why was that so?
Hopefully, this normal-ness allows him to let me go or something.
He sat down inside of the chair, and he stared at me. âHello,â he said with a smile. âI hope youâre doing well.â
âI hope so as well,â I responded with a sarcastic tone I already regretted, but then I continued speaking, âWhy am I here?â
âOh come on now,â Dr. Mord laughed with a sly grin on his face as he crossed his legs, âI wouldâve thought that you would have guessed why you are here. But I might as well tell you. I want you to describe how you got to my sister. That day you killed her.â
I was silent...unsure of what to say or where to start, but then I opened my mouth to speak-and found it hard to get a word in edge-wise.
âI would love it if you started telling me how you got to her,â Dr. Mord said with an evil grin on his face.
I nodded while looking at him, not sure where to start. I could still remember chasing her through the halls a few months ago. âWe were chasing her after our men surrounded Charlie, the base from Camaguey. Yeah, she was cornered once we caught her. She was crazy-like you,â I said to him, as I felt my heart racing for the second time in as many minutes. âShe was like a caged lion.â I said as my mind began to wander, recalling the scene before me in my mind.
âHer eyes were...red and mad. Fire burning in her eyes, lions roaring in her breath,â I mumbled silently, âI remember that day like it was yesterday.â
âGood,â he said, âAnd then?â Dr. Mord asked, his eyes widening as I stopped talking, âIâm sorry, what do you mean?â
âContinue on, thereâs more,â he said. âI know there is.â
I nodded. âShe broke my wand, and we had a very challenging fight with her. Super challenging, it was as if-it was impossible to beat her. But then the rest came to the rescue, and then-she exploded.â
Dr. Mordâs eyes widened, confused and unsure as if he was confused of what I was exactly meaning by that. âExploded...â he asked with a perturbed face, âWhat do you mean?â
I blinked, unsure of what to say next, as he watched me closely with a raised brow in response to my hesitation. âExploded, unless you canât comprehend that,â I said back to him, although a bit too feisty for my liking, âIt was a fireball-a very big fireball that took us all by surprise and knocked us off our feet.â I said with a confused expression on my face and feeling like I needed to stop talking now-it was getting hard for me to continue on.
âHeh,â he said. It was as if he was accepting the fact, but I was almost sure he wasnât. âThat doesnât make sense.â
âIt did at the time,â I responded as I shrugged my shoulders while frowning as I thought about the memory again and again in my mind, trying to recall every detail of what happened that day. âShe didnât want to get caught, what better way than to-â
I felt a ringing pain on my cheek as Dr. Mordâs hands slapped against my face, causing me to cry out in pain and shock. âDonât try to play innocent!â he shouted, âI know your type of people! Youâre trying to pretend you donât know anything when you know everything!â
âI told you everything! You refuse to believe it!â I screamed at him, as if I was completely someone else. I never knew myself to be this angry or this hot tempered at all. I never knew myself to be this reckless or this foolish... âI know what happened that day!â
âI know that. But youâre telling me lies,â he said, while looking at me like he didnât believe me in the slightest. âYouâre lying!â he said again as he hit me again. This time with the back of his hand in my cheek so hard that it almost knocked me unconscious.
âYou know what...maybe this can convince you,â Dr. Mord said. He suddenly pressed something and a part of the wall slid to a view of seeing Nikki on chains. She was in the air, chains holding her from up top and chains maintaining her at the bottom.
I felt my eyes widen in horror and disbelief as I looked back at Dr. Mord with fear in my eyes. âWhat is this?â I hissed as he chuckled as he looked at me. âA person very important to you, Connor Drails,â he said as he smiled at me.
