168 A Walk In Japan
âI want you to give us information, be an informant for us. Give us info on Maddie Cone and her plans,â Mr. Drails said, as Marcello took a deep breath, which seemed like it was coming from the pit of his stomach; then he slowly let the air back out of his lungs as he sighed heavily, but his eyes were narrowed into a glare on Mr. Drails as he clenched his jaw tight.
âWhat do I gain out of this?â Marcello said.
âMoney, and a chance for your students to work with us. You can become very useful, Marcello,â Mr. Drails said, staring eye for eye, as his grin got wider and wider; then he added, âand we might even be able to help your students.â
Marcello looked away from Mr. Drails for a moment, before turning back to look at him with another glare. âFine, Iâll see what I can do,â Marcello said. âBut-I will never forgive you for the murder of my students.â
Mr. Drailsâs shook his head as he got up, then walked out of the interrogation room with a smile on his face. âOh come on, theyâre not dead yet,â Mr. Drails said with a laugh as he shut the door behind him. Marcello was silent, saying nothing but just looking up at the ceiling, as his hands were still cuffed together tightly with the chains rattling with the movement of his arms.
Then the video ended.
âSo thatâs that,â Tisiah said. âWe have a new ally I guess.â
âExactly,â Mr. Drails said, looking at all of us. âMarcello will bring us info on Maddie Coneâs plan.â September nodded in support as I did as well, while Tisiah shrugged as if he wasnât sure if this was a good idea or not.
âOkay then,â Mr. Drails said with a smile. âYou guys will go to Japan and keep Masaru safe. Today is the last day until the flight, so we need to prepare well.â I nodded and looked at the others, before we began to prepare.
.....
âWell I never expected that to happen,â I said, and September nodded, while Tisiah sighed and shook his head, while they both began to pack their things up as well. âWe have more things to worry about,â Malachi said, loading his gun, while I nodded in agreement.
âYeah,â I said, putting my backpack on. âThis will be interesting to say the least.â
Then, Mr. Drails created a portal and soon enough we walked through into Japan, and then it closed. We were in front of Zekeshi Kinâs mansion, as we were allowed inside immediately. As soon as the door closed, September went over to Masaru and immediately hugged him, as she held onto him with a tight grip and he looked at her with a look of confusion and worry before she released her grip on him.
Then she turned around and smiled at me and Malachi as we walked up to them, with a smirk on our faces. âWell well well,â I said with a smile.
âHey hey hey,â Masaru added, as he came in with a hug as well, and he looked at me with a smile and then at Malachi before he let go. âIâm glad to see you two again.ân/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
âMe too,â I said with a smile as I looked at Masaru. âBeen quite a journey I do have to say,â I responded and Masaru nodded. âToday is my last day with my grandfather and I do have to say, itâs been quite the day.â I nodded as I looked around the mansion, and memories soon began to play inside my mind, as if it was yesterday when I first came here and met Masaruâs grandfather.
âYou remember your grandfather?â Masaru asked as his eyes widened slightly.
âNot much, but I do remember him,â I replied. âOld...very old.â
Masaru chuckled and laughed before he sighed, then he shook his head. âWell I hope you guys can come back soon.â
âMe too,â Malachi said before he smiled at Masaru as well.
âWell then-Iâll be in my room if you need me,â Masaru said, as he began to walk up to his room. âWait,â September said, as Masaru stopped and slowly turned around. âCan I join you?â
âWhoever said you couldnât?â Masaru responded with a smile as she rushed up with him up the stairs like an excited child. âCome on.â They both disappeared up the stairs and into Masaruâs room with a slight laugh before they left us alone in the hallway.
âWell then,â I said, as I turned to Tisiah. âI guess we sit here.â
âWe should explore, or at least do something. Maddie Cone shouldnât be too much of a problem,â Tisiah said. âLetâs see what Japan is like for once shall we?â I shrugged, looking at Malachi and Nikki, who were standing next to me and staring at me.
âWell, we could always do some exploring,â I said, as I looked at Tisiah. âWhy donât you go with them?â Nikki suggested.
âYeah that sounds great!â Malachi added.
âMight as well,â I said, smiling. âMaybe thereâs something interesting.â
âYou should definitely find some food too,â Nikki said, pointing at Malachi and me as we nodded at her.
âI think weâll find something,â I said with a smile. âLetâs see.â
Soon enough we walked out of the house, the sky bright and blue, with a warm breeze blowing towards us and causing our hair to flutter with its touch as we walked down the street and made our way towards the center of town.
The city was bustling with life as we walked towards the center of it all; people were busy shopping in stores and walking through the streets, while other people were working at various buildings with small trucks driving down the road that had heavy machinery in them, which was used to lift things up and carry them in crates for people to buy and take home with them.
The stores by the side were blooming with lights, the road filled with rolling wheels, which were also filled with people who were riding on them, some people were just walking on the sidewalks in between the buildings and on the road, and others were running past us on the street trying to make their way to where they were going; we walked through all of this while we found ourselves in the middle of it all without really knowing where we were going, until we found ourselves outside of an arcade that was packed with people that were playing games.
âOoooh, say less,â Malachi muttered, rubbing his hands, while Nikki nodded and smiled.
âI know,â I said with a chuckle, as I looked around for a bit before looking at Malachi with a smile. âWell what do you think?â I asked as I looked at him with a smile.
âWell I think I want to play something,â Malachi replied as he scratched his chin while he thought about it. âHow about we get in on the fun?â
âYou guys can, Iâll just look around,â I said, enjoying the breeze on me, before I walked away from Malachi and Nikki. I walked into the arcade and stood in the doorway of one of the games, looking at the flashing lights and sounds. The sounds of the machines were loud and boisterous, which I liked because it sounded like fun.
I walked around, seeing the fun the children were having, while some people were playing more intense games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter; however, these games didnât appeal to me in anyway so I wandered around looking for something else to do. But then I saw men in black suits, very proper walking around.
Weird.
Very weird, but then again, I guess itâs not too odd that there are people that work in places like this. I watched the two men in black suits as they moved around, checking peopleâs wristbands as they worked their way through the crowd. But something, just something was off, I thought, but then I let my curiosity take hold of me and I watched one of them as he looked at someoneâs wristband with a stern look on his face as he shook his head a bit and walked away.
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope-I thought with a chuckle to myself as I watched him walk away and leave the game room. He seemed so serious and so stern, but then he did seem like he was about to yell or get angry. I should probably follow him. But then I turned around, and now there were three of those guys behind the game room, all standing at attention and staring at everyone walking into and out of the game room with stern looks on their faces.
