"Are you sure you want me to be with you at that appointment?" Angela asked suddenly as she turned to Lottie. "It's totally fine if you don't."

The two were waiting silently in the car as Alfred was putting gas in it. Before dropping them off at Dr. Evans' office.

"Yes, I do want you to be with me." Lottie answered as she turned too, her gaze shifting slightly to meet her girlfriend's. "I don't mind, really."

Angela didn't know how to approach Lottie about what she was feeling recently. It felt in her entire demeanor that had changed for some time now. The problem was that Lottie was in that same state. Causing the two of them to be stuck in a constant state of silent battle in their minds. While being as well in the presence of the person who was occupying it.

"But you-" Angela hesitated for a moment over her choice of words. Her eyes flickered down to Lottie's fidgeting hands before flicking back up quickly. "...I mean, aren't there things you want to tell her that you don't want me to hear?"

Lottie frowned visibly confused. "What?"

"I don't know. I feel like you've been a litlle secretive around me lately." Angela uttered as she looked away, biting the inside of her cheek. "I don't want to be there with you just because you feel obligated to by me."

Lottie remained silent for a moment, her eyes trailing over the blonde's side profile. Still a little unsure of what to say. "I-Is that why Jackie thinks I'm cheating on you? Is that what you think?"

"What--No, of course not! I might joke about that but I do trust you." Angela sighed as she pinched the bridge of her nose. "And right now it feels like you don't trust me."

"I trust you." Lottie corrected firmly.

Angela sighed at Lottie's defeated silence on the rest of the conversation as she pulled out her phone. "Maybe I should go-"

"Please don't." Lottie interrupted quickly as she reached for Angela's hand.

The blonde backed away at her touch. Her hand making it's way out of Lottie's instantly. As her eyes finally meet hers, her glossy blue eyes matching Lottie deep brown one's.

"Don't touch me." Angela whispered as she turned around to wipe away the corner of her eyes.

Lottie felt her heart sink into her chest, her fists slowly clenching. The guilt taking over her at the same speed as the realization that she had hurt Angela with her own insecurities about a situation was settling in. "I'm sorry."

"I don't want you to be sorry!" Angela exclaimed with a quiet sniffle. "I just wanted you to talk to me-"

"Okay, okay! I'll talk to you!" Lottie nodded as she once again tried to reach out for the blonde. Shifting on the backseat to be even more close to her. "Just please don't cry."

Angela eventually faced her and Lottie quickly wiped away the hot tears that were streaming down her now reddened cheeks. Her thumbs gently running over her skin.

"Will you be ready to talk later?" Angela spoke lowly. "I wan't to go home, now."

She nodded. "Yeah sure, we can skip the whole therapist thing and then we-"

"No Lottie, I want to go...to my house. Now, please." Angela cut her off with raised eyebrows to empathize her point.

Lottie searched her eyes for any sign of hesitation. And finding none, she gave in, still reluctantly. "Okay, I get it."

Around ten minutes later, Angela was walking to the front door of her house. Lottie following behind her closely. "So I'll see you tomorrow then?"

"Sure. Tomorrow." Angela replied as she barely pressed her lips on Lottie's cheek to give it a kiss. "I love you."

"I love you too." Lottie smiled a weakly as she watched Angela closing her door.

––––––––––

"What the--fuck." Angela muttered half-awake, as she looked around with narrowed eyes searching for the noise that just woke her up.

As she tried to see more clearly in her dimly lit room, a flash came from her window and quickly illuminated her. Forcing her to close her eyes shut and to rub them with a groan.

Before she could do anything a shadow opened the window in question before entering her room. Angela's eyes flew open and she grabbed the first thing she could get her hands on to throw violently at it. But when she heard the small whimper of pain from the large and menacing shadow, she had a click of realization, recognizing it almost immediately.

"Lottie?" She exclaimed in a whisper as she turned on the light in her room.

The taller girl, who was rubbing her head with a grimace, looked up. Her expression softening as she was already ready to explain herself. "I know what you're going to say-"

"It's fucking...1 a.m! You are so not supposed to be here!" Angela cut her off still in shock.

Lottie looked away guiltily. "Well, you didn't respond to my goodnight text. And I-"

"I was already asleep, Lottie." Angela muttered, crossing her arms as her cheeks grew red. "Crying kinda wore me out, you know?"

"But I'm here now! To talk I mean...If you still want to." She replied quickly.

"I still want to talk, tomorrow. It could've wait until then." Angela insisted as she gestured her bed. "Not in the middle of fucking the night."

"But I don't-- I can't sleep without you." Lottie confessed with a deep sigh. "You shut me down and still, I need you. That's also why I'm here."

Angela gave her a pointed look, before she let out a sigh as well. Not forgetting to rolling her eyes with that."Alright, come here."

Lottie's face lit up at the blonde's words a she approached with a nevertheless shy smile. While Angela was already shifting to make room for her in the bed, Lottie quickly wrapped her arms around her holding her tightly.

"We'll talk in the morning, okay?" Angela asked as her hand started to run mindlessly through Lottie's hair.

"Okay." Lottie mumbled, with her eyes already closed. "Goodnight Angela."

"Goodnight baby." Angela whispered, holding her tighter too.

––––––––––

"Morning." Angela spoke from the counter she was sitting on as she watch Lottie entered the kitchen.

Lottie picked up Angelo from the ground giving him a few rub behind his ear, before she walked to Angela to place a kiss on her cheek. "Morning."

The blonde's dad was at work for the entire weekend. That was why Angela was supposed to go to Lottie's in the first place. Not that it made much difference that they were at her place. It didn't matter where they were, Angela and Lottie were still in their own little bubble anyway, what mattered was that they were together.

"Did you had any breakfast yet?" Lottie asked, rummaging through the fridge.

"No. I'm not really hungry." She shrugged a she pulled out her phone.

"Okay then." Lottie muttered to herself as she set the dog back down on the ground to better grab what she wanted.

When Angela looked up from her phone, Lottie slid in a bowl of cottage cheese with her favorite fruits and some oat flakes. She raised a curious eyebrow and Lottie shrugged before turning to grab what looked like her own bowl.

She took a spoonful of her cereal and chewed slowly, her eyes never leaving Angela's face which was slightly brightened by her screen. "I'm sorry that my behavior lately has upset you. I didn't think you noticed that much to be honest."

"You weren't really subtle about it, you know?" Angela looked up and set aside her phone with a sigh, a little smile forming on her lips. "So what is it? What's the matter with Shauna Shipman?"

"She just...I told her about how much I was scared of this dinner with your dad. And I guess was scared she would tell you in her own words." Lottie admitted as she quickly looked away. "Whenever you would approach her I would panic. That's all. And also I don't know what you told Jackie, but she for sure add even more pressure on me."

Angela chuckled as she shook her head. "I just told her you were acting suspicious around Shauna."

"Yeah, because that's for sure something you should tell Jackie considering their weird friendship dynamic." Lottie replied sarcastically earning a small laugh from her girlfriend.

"I'm sorry I got mad at you, I was scared you were hiding something more fucked up if you can put it that way." Angela spoke as she tug at Lottie's hand guiding her to approach and settle between her legs. "And I assure you, you have nothing to be afraid of. This dinner is me officially introducing you as my girlfriend and not just a friend to my father and my uncle. We don't have to care about the rest. And I sure don't care about anything my dad has to say about you. I'm sure they're gonna love you anyway."

"Okay." Lottie mumbled, her cheeks red crimson at the blonde's word as she set aside the bowl she had in hand. Her arm instinctively finding it's way around her waist.

"Now..." Angela wrapped her arms around Lottie's neck. "Can I get a kiss?"

Lottie hummed with a nod as she leaned down to capture her lips in a kiss. Angela answered it immediately, her hold on Lottie tightening.

A few giggles escaped her as the taller girl trailed kisses along her jaw then to her neck. "That tickles. You know I'm ticklish here."

"Hm, I know that." Lottie mumbled against her skin as her hand that was holding the counter for support, gently moved up her back through her shirt.

"Lottie." Angela muttered in a tone that was meant to be a warning. Her head tilting slightly to the side despite herself to give her more access. "Lottie we're not having sex in the kitchen counter, again."

The Matthews girl groaned adding even more warmth than her breath already had on the blonde's neck. Her shoulders slumping visibly in disappointment. "Why not?"

"Because," Angela patted her on both shoulders to pull Lottie away from her and face her. She placed one last kiss on her now swollen lips. "Timothy's here, and I don't want him to walk on us. You wouldn't want to be banned from this house, would you?"

Angela slid off the counter but when she tried to walk away. Lottie quickly pulled her back against her causing laughter to erupt from the blonde. "Lottie, come on!"

"I'll be quick?" Lottie stated in more of a question as she bit her earlobe.

Angela chuckled as she once again, her hands pressed again her chest. Her eyes staring into Lottie's lustful one's. "Baby, I'm serious. Besides, you and I both know we don't just do things quickly."

"You're really beautiful." Lottie's only response was as Angela's hands were now cupping her face.

"Thank you, but that won't work either." Angela said with an amused smile as Lottie's lips turned into a pout. "Want anything else for breakfast?"

Lottie watched her walk away with the bowl she had previously prepared for her, before whispering to herself. "No I think the rest of my breakfast is gone, now."

"I heard that!" Angela exclaimed from across the kitchen, then took a spoonful from the bowl. "This is actually pretty good. In fact, I like it better when you do my breakfast for me."

"I know that too." Lottie replied with a proud smile a she grabbed her own bowl.

Before Angela could say anything, Timothy appeared in the kitchen. His hair disheveled and a blunt between his lips. He set his eyes on Lottie, a little surprised. "Oh, hi Lottie, I didn't know you were supposed to be here."

Lottie stopped chewing, her eyes crewing wide as she looked at Angela who mouthed the words 'I told you so'.

"She's not, she snuck in last night." She replied with a wink to the black haired girl. "How was your night?"

"Good, good." He nodded, scratching the back of his head lightly as he lazily grabbed the orange juice in the fridge."How was your guys night?"

"Good." Angela replied with her mouth still full with a nod as well.

"Not too good though, right?" Timothy said menacingly to Lottie as he pointed his finger at her. Before letting out a laugh and punching her in the upper arm. "Just kidding."

Lottie red as a tomato, chuckled softly trying not to choke on her cereal.

Angela watched her brother heading back upstairs with a still amused grin adorning her face. She then turned back to Lottie. "Not so cocky anymore, hm?"

"Shut up." Lottie grumbled as rolled her eyes.
