Wednesday evening. Our small group sat together at Beomgyu in the conservatory and was busy planning Hoon's birthday present. A one week ski trip in January. Just the five of us. Him, Gyu, Jay, Jake and me.

But even though we've decided on a hotel in the meantime, I couldn't concentrate at all. Fuck, my thoughts were only circling around her. Why is this infatuation phase so goddamn crazy. I feel totally unnecessary, like a 13 year old boy with the hormones kicked in.

While the guys were discussing who needed to rent equipment and Gyu and Jay were at loggerheads over whether Sunghoon had ever even been on skis or a snowboard, I pulled my cell phone out of my hoodie pocket.

hyeo 😴: see ya tomorrow ❤️

With a hidden grin I let it slip back into the pocket after reading her reply. Cozy date in my apartment after training tomorrow is set!

„Seems things work out well between the two of you?". Jake next to me suddenly whispered and I glared over in surprise.

The others didn't seem to have heard, thankfully, which made me breathe a sigh of relief. "Yes, it does.".

„But don't tell anyone! We are still figuring out how we are going to publicize it.".

A sudden rustling of the keys and the opening of the door made us all prick up our ears. „Oh fuck!", Beomgyu suddenly groaned. „Completely forgot about that.".

Siu suddenly pushed her way around the corner and stopped in surprise when she saw us guys sitting at the dining table. Although it had minus degrees outside, she wore a mini skirt with transparent tights. In addition, black lacquer boots and a white blouse with the top three buttons unbuttoned.

„Holy-„. Jay uttered and stared down her more or less 50 percent exposed body

„Come on, Jay. Shut up.", She rolled her eyes in annoyance. „Every single time the same shit.".

Now Beomgyu had his say again. „You can sit down for a minute. Completely forgot to tell them your coming over.", he explained in embarrassed but Siu had already settled down on his couch.

„Don't mind me. I'm not even here.", she said as she rolled onto her stomach, which allowed a crucible view into her cleavage.

I wasn't 100% sure what was going on. But Siu and Beomgyu had something going on for a while. Whether that was something on a relationship level or just a friends with benefits thing, I didn't know. Like I said, I really love my best friend, but on the other hand, she's a hoe. She would probably even let Jay get to her if he asked nicely.

Whatever, it's obvious that as soon as we step out of the door frame they will fall after each other, so I hoped to finish the planning for today pretty quickly

When I came home from my meeting with Jungwon, I noticed my mom sitting on the couch, watching one of her favourite novels. I was sure she could already speak along the actors' lines, because even I almost I could, so many times I had already seen it.

Right when I pulled out my shoes and hung my jacket on the rack, the scent of spaghetti flooded my nose. "Hey! I'm back.". She turned her head.

Sometimes i wonder if she feels lonely. My brother and me are barely at home and when she's not at work, she's either at home or doing some other stuff regarding the household, like shopping groceries, cleaning, or cutting trees in the garden. What if she's pining for someone, too? Like someone who loves her. Because I'm not sure if dad ever did. Imagine if your trusted significant other suddenly starts hating you, hitting you, telling you that you are useless. There's no way I would ever recover.

"That early?".

"Jungwon is pretty busy today, so yeah.". I answered and walked towards the kitchen counter. With a growling stomach, I heaped a mountain of spaghetti onto my plate. "We really need to spent time together, mom. I feel so bad because I'm never home.".

She looked at me, deeply touched. "That's really very sweet. But don't worry about me.".

"That's also one of the reasons why I'm already at home," I told her honestly. "We are spending a movie night together tonight!". I decided.

With my still lukewarm dinner, I squatted down on the sofa with her when my phone lit up.

Hee 💕:See ya ❤️

I noticed my mom glaring over at the display as a smile appeared on my face.

"Who would have expected my daughter to date little Lee.", she smirked, without watching me. "Although...he is such a good boy. He always has been. I'm not surprised you started liking him.". I didn't really know what to say, but I couldn't help smiling, ears turning red.

"Thanks for embarrassing me, by the way.". I complained. "Especially after you've liked him for so long.", I mocked her voice from our conversation yesterday.

"For how long, actually? Like, how long have you guys been dating?", she asked courously.

I pressed my lips together thoughtfully. "It's kinda complicated. It started 7 months ago, but during my time abroad we had some difficulities and decided to make a break. And now...", I paused for a second and started smiling again.

"You must have been so excited when you came back.", she said.

"Actually, he visited me in the US as a surprise. And since then, things couldn't be better to be honest.".

"I know I don't really need to tell this to you. You've always been the smart one.", mom suddenly changed the topic. "But you know, when you're young, excited. In the heat of battle, you can easily forget to use protection.".

"MOM?!".I looked over at her indignantly.

"What?! I just don't wanna be a granny at 47!".

Even if I say now of course that I would always think about it...holy shit what a lie! Usually I am the smart one, but back then, my brain somehow lagged. Flashback to the situation in the car, I was seriously okay with not using protection back then. I guess I could be lucky it didn't work.

"You know I am careful.", I said, but with a bad conscience at the back of my mind.

I brushed my boots off on the doormat as I rang the doorbell to Heeseung's apartment. The weather had turned so cold in the last few days. Temperatures almost reached double digits below zero and the area was drizzled with light snow. Today was December 6th and Sunghoon's birthday and Christmas were just around the corner. Christmas was always my favorite time of the year as a child. The broken family got together and pretended everything was fine for a day. Of course it wasn't, but my little self had no idea of the reality.

That's why we've always celebrated Christmas in a small group for the last few years. Dad didn't think it was necessary to ask about us anymore, so Christmas Eve was always just a day for Mom, Sunghoon and me. No idea how things would go this year.

"Hey, hey.", he suddenly opened the door and I couldn't suppress a laugh. It really was a funny sight to see him in a bright red Christmas sweater with reindeer on it. "Did you get everything on the list?".

I handed him my shopping bag. "Order completed!".

He placed the bag on the floor, as I slipped out of my thick jacket. "Damn, your hands are ice blocks.". Heeseung grabbed one of them.

"Yeah, I know. It's so freaking cold outside.".

"Come on, I made us hot chocolate.", he walked into the kitchen where some kitchen utensils were already waiting. To be honest, I was amazed. "What the fuck. I have never seen a guy with this much baking stuff.".

He started unpacking my groceries on the counter. "Let's pretend I didn't borrow 90 percent of it from my mom.". I tied my apron with a grin. "I knew it.".

In case you're wondering what we're up to. I had suggested baking cookies. My mom hasn't really had time to do that the last few years because of her job and I loved baking. Heeseung was allowed to choose his favorite recipes and I took care of the grocerie shopping.

Time flew by and after just an hour we had the first cookies in the oven. This time alone was enough for me to realize that Heeseung, the Ace, definitely couldn't do one thing.

"What the fuck?". I looked over in shock at his earthworm-shaped rolls of dough, which were supposed to look like cute little croissants. "You need to form it carefully. Not with this much preasure!". He stepped aside and I kneaded his unsuccessful piece back into the big lump.

"Look, you have to roll it until it's a sausage like this. And then just make it a little narrower at the corners.". I placed a perfect looking dough croissant on the baking tray and he started laughing.

"See? I'm not perfect at everything.". He snitched a piece of the raw dough.

"Oh, come on. I'm sure you were just pretending to suck."

"Shit, you got me.". Heeseung joked ironically and tapped my nose with his flour-powdered finger. Miffed that he was making fun of me, I dipped both palms on the flour-sprinkled surface and spread all the flour in his hair.

As expected, however, he didn't take this lying down and grabbed the entire package, poured a mountain of it into his hands and threw the white powder straight at me. Coughing and laughing, I realized that the floor was starting to look worse than our work surface. "Are you crazy?!". I lauged and jumped up to reach the package of fleur in his hands. But I missed it and Heeseung accidentally spilled the entire pack on himself.

"HYEO, ARE YOU CRAZY?!", he addressed me and nodded down to the meanwhile completely white floor.

"Aww, are you mad at me, Snowman?", I grinned and brushed the flour out of his hair and off his shoulders. "You started this whole thing!"

"Great, now we both have to take a shower. And we have no more flour as well.".

"Well...", I scanned his body up and down. "What do you think of the idea of showering together?".

I noticed him trying to hold his laugh, but he failed within seconds. "What do you dream of at night, huh?".

"Hmm.", I hummed questionally. "Maybe about you without this cute christmas knit sweater?". My hands slipped below his shirt, pulling him closer by his waist. My move caused him to take a few steps forward, until my until my hips collided with the kitchen counter.

"Shower together? Sounds great.", he said and the corners of my mouth only moved up further.

But a sudden shrill beeping from below startled us both. I turned my head and noticed Heeseung's cell phone timer for the cookies in the oven had expired. I reached around his pocket and ended the disturbing noise.

"Worst possible time.", he muttered and backed away from me to pull the tray out of the oven.

"What a coincidence that we have a lot of time today.". I grinned and walked up to him again. He pushed the oven door shut with his knee and threw the gloves on the counter next to the unfinished raw dough cookies.

It didn't even take a second until Heeseung spun me around and I was trapped between the counter and his body. "But it looks like you're in a hurry.". With a tilted head, I tap
