Chapter 24 ~ Fuck Me Running!

Delaney had taken Maddox shopping. It seems like that boy shot up six inches, overnight. He’s almost as tall as his sister now.

Chainz bolted through my door “Prez! There’s four black SUVs pulling into the compound.” Already on my feet, I demanded “Who authorized entry?” He said “Nobody.. Spider had opened the gates to allow the trucks in that are carrying the merchandise from Mrs. Slate’s.. and they rolled on through before it could be closed again.”

I snarled “Get that shit to the warehouse down on Adams Rd. I said not to bring it here! The fuck is wrong with y’all? Is no one paying attention anymore?”

I checked for my piece at my back.. and stepped outside. The lead vehicle had stopped.. the back passenger side opened and a black dress shoe hit the ground.. followed by the second. As he stood up.. I watched him reach his full height.. “Cabot?”

He grinned and walked over.. hugging me, like there was no such thing as bad blood between us. I stepped away from him “What do you want? Rolling up into my compound without requesting an audience can get you dead!”

He sighed and responded “I thought this would be behind us, Ty.. It’s been three years.” I laughed.. “I spent five years.. fighting a war to keep this country free.. only to return home to find my birthright usurped.. by my only brother.. That same brother fucking my mate the entire time I was gone. Three years hardly seems enough time to put that shit behind me. What do you want?”

“You could have accepted the challenge.. if you wanted Alpha so badly” he sneered at me. I shook my head.. “You’re an idiot. It was never about the title.. I am Alpha. No matter where I lead. It was about the betrayal. The one person I always believed would have my back.. My Brother! Betrayed me.. in the worst way. One last time.. What the fuck do you want?”

He asked if there was somewhere we could speak privately. I led him to my office and told Axe “Have Queen join me when she returns.”

Sitting down, he asked “You took a chosen? Good for you. I never thought Jess suited you.” I snarled “My personal life is not up for discussion. And of course Jess was suited for me.. she was my mate. You knew it.. and fucked her anyway. I’m just grateful I never did.”

He snickered “Yeah.. I know. Why was that, anyway?” I growled “She was fifteen when I left for the Marines, you fuck! She said she wanted to wait. Apparently that didn’t mean she wanted to wait.. for me!”

My door opened, and my beautiful mate waltzed in.. beaming brightly. I smiled “Hello, my love! Shopping successful?” Shaking her head “UGH! That boy is indecisive as hell! We have made a pact to only shop online for him, from now on.”

She turned and looked at Cabot. He smirked.. putting on his best come hither look.. and said “Well.. hello gorgeous.” She looked back at me.. then at him. “Just Eww! Does that usually work for you?” And I busted out laughing.. pulling my mate into my lap.. calming Torin down.

I said “Babe. This is Cabot.” She nodded and told us “Yeah.. I figured. He favors you.. in a lounge lizard, sleazy kinda way.” I chuckled “Lounge lizard?” Nodding she said “Yeah.. you know.. the seventies piano bar skeevy looking..polyester king…gold chain wearing…hairy chest.. kinda guy who hit on anything in a skirt? That guy.”

I laughed really hard at that “Cabot.. in a nutshell.” He growls “I’m right here.. you know!? I thought you didn’t take a chosen.” I said “It’s none of your business.. but Delaney isn’t my chosen. She is my second chance. I am swiftly losing patience here, Cabot. Tell me why you are here!”

Cabot coughed “Well. Now I’m not really sure. I came to ask for help.. Alpha Silverton.. Fuck! My pack has been under siege for the past month. Silverton wanted you.. His daughter has reached marriageable age and he wants to mate her to a fully mantled Alpha. He wants you.. and has been practically holding the pack hostage until I get you to agree.”

I laughed “And you thought to come here and demand I mate this jit.. just because you aren’t strong enough to fend off some random Alpha?” He jumped to his feet “He murdered Benjamin, Ty! He’s killed nearly eighty of my warriors.”

I snarled “Wait a minute. He murdered Uncle Benjamin..Dad’s beta? How?” Cabot grimaced “Silver bullet to the brain.” Delaney stood and walked to the door.. “Baby? Where are you headed?”

She grinned “To gear up.. and ready our troops.” As she walked out, Cabot asked “What did that mean?” I said “We are heading out in an hour. I will rid you of your pest problem. For Uncle Benjamin.”

He stood up.. saying “I will head back and let everyone know you’re coming home.” I looked at him.. astounded “I am not coming home, Cabot. I am home. I am not going to your pack. I am going to Blood Moon. Killing Silverton.. and then coming back to MY home!”

He panicked “You can’t.. They won’t let you in.” I laughed “They can’t stop me.” He groaned “Silverton is at Golden Lake with his daughter.. Waiting for me to bring you back.” I shook my head.. “You really are a colossal fuckup, aren’t you!? Okay then! How many of his warriors are holding your pack hostage?”

He shrugged “Three hundred or so.” I stormed out of my office.. yelling for Snake and Axe. They met me in the common room. “Round up the troops, men.. I want everyone geared up.. armed, locked and loaded.. we have a pack to annihilate.”

Snake whooped and ran to give the order. Delaney walked in.. fully geared. Down to her katanas and compound bow. I asked “Loaded for bear?” Grinning she replied “Loaded to kill a mother fucker who murdered someone important to you.” I pulled her into me.. kissing her deeply “Then let’s go kick some ass and leave the names on the ground!”

Ever hear the roar of five hundred motorcycles light up? Or the rumble of the ground when they’re on the move? It’s exhilarating.. Exciting. It definitely forces adrenaline to thrum through your entire body.

We followed Cabot’s vehicles out the gate and headed south. Literally catching people videoing us with their phones. On arriving, Cabot asked “Are you really going to let her fight?” I laughed and said “You’re more than welcome to suggest she go inside and set tea.. I’m not walking out of here toting an ass whipping. I don’t LET my mate do anything. She does what she knows she can.”

I yelled “Silverton! I heard a rumor you wanted me.. You got me! I’d like to see what you do with it!”

He came rushing out of the pack house.. three men and a young woman behind him. He had a huge grin on his face “Tiberius! It is SO good to see you. Now. You will mate my daughter..and I will consider allowing you to take over as Alpha of my pack. I had hoped to merge both packs.. but wasn’t aware you hadn’t taken Alpha here.”

I grinned “Delusions.. You suffer serious delusions. Drugs? Or just senility? Either way.. absolutely every word you just uttered is wrong.”

He snarled “You will mate my daughter. Or I will raze your pack to the ground.” And I slapped him. Just your standard every day bitchslap aimed at being the greatest insult I can give without words.

He growled and shifted into an impressive gray wolf., on the spot. Essentially declaring war. I roared out “NO SURVIVORS!” and shifted into my seven foot solid black wolf. Torin roared to his troops and the battle ensued.

Torin circled the gray wolf.. always keeping an eye on Delaney.. She is impressive as hell! A whirling verago of pure fury.. lightning reflexes and the strength of three men. Wicked!

Cabot was literally ushering the women inside.. locking the door behind him. Coward. But.. true to form!

The gray lunged at Torin. He twisted to the side, but still caught claws on his left rear haunches. Torin backed off and sat.. while the gray was curious as to what he was doing. He was healing.. but also intimidating the gray wolf by acting uninterested.

When Silverton lunged, Torin was ready. He dove low and latched onto the gray’s throat.. crushing it in his massive jaws. By the time he took his last breath.. all his warriors lay dead.

I shifted back.. surveying the damage as I slipped into a pair of jeans. Delaney said “Well.. now what, genius? Doesn’t this make you Alpha of Blood Moon?”

Fuck me running!
