A/N: Omg guys thank you so much!!! I have 280 reads! That's almost 300! Thank you so much for reading my story. I really appreciate it. I'm sorry for updating late. I've been a bit busy being lazy :,). Today was my orientation thing for school. Not really an orientation I already go to the school but like we got our pictures taken for our school ID and our advisory schedules. I also bought new uniform shirts (my school sadly makes us wear uniform :,)). Anyways I hope you like this chapter!❤❤❤

*Hazel's pov*

"Personally, I find Eli to be the hottest." Ivy said as we walked. They were walking home with me because they only lived about five minutes away. They were all arguing about which "bad boy" was the hottest of their group.

"He smokes. Is that really attractive? If anything, Connor is the cutest. Everyone talks about how he's so fun and makes the best jokes." Honey chimed in.

"Why are we even talking about this?" Julia asked in annoyance.

"Well, you like girls, so you wouldn't understand their hotness." Violet laughed.

"I understand that it's annoying." She shot back. Anikah patted Julia's shoulder to make her feel better.

Should I tell them that I was invited to their bmx practice?... Nah, it wasn't important.

"Well, this is my house." I said.

"Who's that hottie?" Ivy whispered to me and I turned to where she was looking. Cameron was changing the oil in his car. Shirtless. Really? That's not something I ever wanted to see.

"That's my brother, Cameron." I clarified.

"Hey, Cameron!" I shouted to him.

"Hey, Hazel. Who are these girls here?" He asked as he walked over and looked at my friends, wiping the sweat from his face. Ew. I knew some people found that hot, but he was my brother, so... Ew.

"These are my friends, Ivy, Anikah, Julia, Honey, and Violet."

"Hi, I'm Cameron." He shook each of their hands as they all drooled over him. Well, except for Anikah and Julia.

"Well, we gotta get going. See you later, Ambrielle." Anikah smiled at me and waved goodbye. The other girls said bye too, but looked disappointed that they had to leave Cameron.

I turned over to my idiot of a brother. "Can you stop trying to seduce my friends please?"

"Woah! I was just saying hi to them! It's not my fault if they find me hot." He smirked.

I scrunched my nose. "Ew. Anyways, I'm going somewhere with Asher from next door."

"Where are you going?!" He asked, he was a little overprotective when it came to me and boys.

"I'm watching him and his friends at their practice. They're into bmx." I raised my eyebrow as I waited for an answer.

"Okay, fine. Only because bmx is cool. But Hazel, don't do the dirty with any of them. And be careful." He looked at me pleadingly.

"Ew! I'm not doing the dirty! And yes, I'll be careful. Bye, Cameron." I waved at him as I walked over to the Greys' front porch.

I knocked on the front door and waited. Soon, the door opened and I was greeted by Mrs. Grey.

"Oh, hi Hazel! What are you doing here?" She asked as she smiled at me.

"I'm going to bmx practice with Asher to watch him and his friends. He told me to meet him here." I smiled and rocked on my feet.

"Oh, really? Okay, I'll go tell him you're here!" She had a big smile on her face and she ran upstairs. Was she excited about this for some reason? Was she....fangirling?? Hmm. I knew a fangirl when I saw one...

She came back running downstairs and stopped right in front of me, smile still big and all. "He's coming!" I could've sworn I heard a squeal.

"Calm down, mom. She's just watching us. The guys invited her." Asher said as he walked down the stairs. He was wearing gray sweats, a white T-shirt, and black nike shoes. Hmm, I figured you would wear something else for bmx. Well, he had a duffel bag. Maybe his clothes were in there.

"We'll be back kinda late cause we're probably gonna grab food afterwards or something." Asher said to his mom. He turned to me. "Ready to go?" I nodded my head.

"Bye, mom."

"Bye, Mrs. Grey!"

"Bye, sweeties!"

He walked to his garage and opened it with a remote control. He grabbed his bike and closed the garage door. Shoving it into the trunk, he got into the car. I followed.

"When we get there, you can just sit and watch." He said to me as he started the car and began driving.

"Okay. I'm not being a bother, am I?" I asked as I fiddled with my hands. I don't know, I felt like he was annoyed with me for some reason.

He glanced at me and flicked my cheek with his free hand as he grinned. Okay, not annoyed. "Nah, you'll get to see us all in action. It might even be fun." He reassured me.

I smiled at him. "Okay. I can't wait then!" I turned up the radio and a Justin Bieber song came on. Hmm, I wasn't really into his music... unless it was his older songs like 'Baby', 'Never Say Never' or 'Mistletoe'. What?? They were catchy!

I scrunched my nose and Asher laughed.

"Wanna connect my phone? You can play what you want." He handed his phone to me and pointed at the aux cord.

I quickly connected it and put on a song I was sure we both liked.

"Karma police

Arrest this man

He talks in maths

He buzzes like a fridge

He's like a detuned radio"

"You like the song, 'Karma Police'?" He turned to me with his eyebrow cocked in surprise.

"Yeah, I love this song! It's just a really good song." I smiled at him and began to sing along.

He glanced at me and I think I saw a hint of a smile.

~~~~~~~
We arrived and got out of the car. I looked around to see that we were in a forest with a bmx crash course. I think that's what they were called.
"Hey, guys!" I looked over to see the boys making their way over to us. They were all carrying duffel bags.
"Hey, we should go change now. You can wait here, Princess." Asher said as he grabbed his bag. I nodded. I figured they had some sort of uniform for this.
They all walked towards the bathroom/locker room that they had in the course. I sat down on a rock criss-cross apple sauce. Yes I still used that term, don't bully me.
I started thinking about the most random things as I waited. My mind never worked in my favor. Can you inhale ramen powder? My friend did that in freshman year and cried afterwards. But does it count?
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard a voice.
"Hey, I've never seen you around here. Are you new?" I looked up to find a boy that looked about my age standing in front of me. He had messy light brown hair and sky blue eyes. The smile he gave me was so captivating. He. Was. Hot!
"N-no! I'm not a rider. I just um, I just came to watch a few friends. They're getting dressed." I managed out and smiled brightly at him.
He nodded in understanding. "Well, in the meantime, you wanna learn a few tricks? I can show you on my bike." He gestured towards his black bmx bike.
"Okay, sure! That would be fun." He took my hand, lifting me from the rock. "My name's Hazel."
"Caleb."
~~~~~~~

"You got it!" He said to me as I drifted. Yep. He taught me how to drift and I was actually able to do it! One million awesome points for me!

Next, he tried teaching me how to do a wheelie. It was flipping hard! I was on a five foot platform. I was five-foot four. From my eye level, I could see about ten feet down!

"No you have to lift it. Yeah, like that. Wait, no!" I fell backwards off the bike and it dropped to the floor. I was expecting a hard impact to the floor, but that didn't happen. I only felt arms. I looked up to see Caleb smiling down at me.

"You okay? I'm sorry, I probably should've given you a helmet." He laughed as he held me.

"It's-it's okay! It's not like I got hurt." We both laughed.

"What's going on here, Princess?" I looked over to see Asher and the boys walking towards us. They were wearing red and black tracksuits. I realized I was still in Caleb 's arms. He set me down quickly and we both smiled sheepishly.

"Oh, I was just teaching her a few tricks is all." Caleb shrugged.

"I asked her, not you. What's going on?" He was glaring at Caleb. Gosh, that was ruder than usual for Asher! What was that all about?

"Like he said, just teaching me a few tricks." I laughed nervously.

"Okay... What trick involves getting carried by some random jerk? I've never heard of that one before." He said sarcastically.

What was with him? I knew he could be mean, but Caleb was such a great guy! How could he say that about him?

"He was just teaching me how to do a wheelie and I fell off. Luckily he caught me, so I wasn't hurt from not wearing a helmet." Why did this feel like an interrogation?

Asher turned to Caleb. "You didn't give her a helmet?" I knew this was cliche, but if looks could kill, Caleb would have been six feet under.

"It was one mistake, okay? Besides, I caught her before she could get hurt." Poor Caleb! He was getting grilled for no reason. Did they have some sort of feud? Hmm, knowing Asher, he was probably just acting like that for no reason.

"Whatever. Let's go, Princess. We need to practice." He glared at Caleb as he walked away.

I turned to Caleb. "Sorry about his behavior. He's just a big, grumpy meanie all the time. Anyways, bye! I hope I get to see you again." I smiled at Caleb.

He smiled back. "It's okay. It's not your fault. Bye."

As we walked away, I went up to the closest guy, which was Ian.

"What was that all about?" I whispered to him.

"Well, when they were little, they were best friends. That is until Caleb totally backstabbed him. Freshman year, Caleb became a jerk out of nowhere. He stole Asher's girlfriend and his spot on the championship of bmx. Total douche bag." Ian replied. Huh, I guess that made sense as to why Asher was so mad. But Caleb seemed so nice! Why would he do that?

"So that's why he was mad." I said in realization.

"Oh, that and he was a little jealous." Ian chuckled.

"Jealous? Jealous of what?" I was confused. What could he have been jealous about? Certainly not Caleb and me. He seemed to be annoyed by mostly everything I did!

"The fact that his sworn enemy was carrying his new "friend" and teaching her new tricks." He wiggled his eyebrows at me and poked at my stomach, laughing. Was he trying to imply something?

No way! We had just met! Like, he could be kinda nice sometimes, and cool, and hot, and.... I was getting sidetracked there. Overall, he was just a popular jerk with a big ego. He would never like me. And I didn't like him either.

I scoffed. "We're barely even "friends". I doubt he even considers me one."

"You'd be surprised." He mumbled.

~~~~~~~
I watched them ride for a few hours as I yet again, sat on a rock. They were actually really good. They did all these crazy tricks on their bikes and I was just....freaking amazed! But, I was getting tired.
It was about 9:00 pm, now. Yeah, they were riding that long, even in the dark! Though, lights did come on.
I was on the verge of sleep. I was about to fall into a dream when a hand touched my shoulder.
I looked up to see Asher. "Hey, Princess. We're done for today. We're gonna go grab some McDonald's."
"Huh? Okay." I said sleepily as I scrambled off of the rock. I stumbled but Asher steadied me.
"Woah, sleepy head. Careful." He put his hand on my back and guided me to his car.
He helped me into the passenger seat and crouched down in front of me. "I'm gonna go get my bike real quick." I nodded.
He got his bike, put it in the trunk, and got in the driver seat. Ian, Liam, Connor, and Eli squeezed into the three seats in the back.
"I forgot we weren't gonna fit this time." Liam mumbled as him and the other guys squirmed in their confined space.
Asher rolled his eyes and drove off, and I fell asleep.
~~~~~~~

I woke up when a hand shook me softly. I opened my eyes to see that we had arrived at McDonald's.

"We're here. Let's go." Asher said. We all got out of the car and walked inside.

"What do guys want?" Asher asked.

"McChicken, fries, and soda." Connor said.

"Me too." said Liam and Eli.

"I'll just get a cheeseburger, fries, and soda." Ian said.

"Happy meal for me." I chirped. Everyone looked at me with their eyebrows raised and laughed.

"You want a happy meal?" Asher asked he died in a fit of laughter.

"Yeah, they're good! And they come with a lot of stuff!" I yelled defensively.

"Okay." Asher said between laughs.

We ordered our food and waited. When it arrived, I realized how hungry I actually was.

I started eating my chicken nuggets and quickly moved onto my fries. Next was the gogurt and I drank soda throughout my meal.

The boys soon finished their food, too.

I fished into my happy meal and stuck my tongue out in a face of concentration. "Aha!" I cheered as I pulled out my toy. It was a Ronald McDonald catapult.

I put an apple slice in it and launched it at Asher. I laughed as it hit him right between the eyes.

He looked shocked and then glared at me. "Oh, I'm gonna get you for that."

I ran out of the restaurant as Asher chased after me. We both ended up laughing as I ran as fast as I could.

He caught up to me and I screamed as he lifted me up off the ground. He had me in front of him by the waist. "Gotcha!"

He threw me over his shoulder and started running. I yelped. "Be careful! We're gonna fall!"

"Relax, we'll be fine." He said. Guess what happened? We fell. I fell on top of him and we landed on the grass. His soft, floppy hair flew back in a heap. We stared into each other's eyes for a few seconds before we both cracked up laughing.

A throat cleared. "Uh, not to ruin your moment or anything but we gotta head home already. It's late." Eli said. The boys were all standing there, staring at us.

Asher and I looked at each real quick before I lifted myself off of him. I was pretty sure I was blushing from what Eli said about a "moment".

We all got into Asher's car and drove off. Asher gave me his phone to play some music. I grinned at him as I chose a song.

He glanced at me and the corner of his mouth was tugged into a tiny smile. "What did you put?"

"You'll see." I replied.

"Ooh, stop

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground

Try this trick and spin it, yeah

Your head will collapse

But there's nothing in it

And you'll ask yourself

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Where is my mind

Way out in the water

See it swimmin"

"Ooh, great song choice." Asher said. The boys in the back groaned but soon started singing along to the song with me. Well, at least Ian and Connor did. But I could tell the other boys enjoyed it, too because they were humming.

~~~~~~~
After dropping off the boys, we arrived on our street. We stopped right in front of our houses and got out of the car.
I turned to Asher and smiled as I rocked on my feet. "I had a lot of fun today."
Putting his hands in his pockets, he threw his head back and shook it with a scrunched face. "Yeah, me too, surprisingly. Well, I should go inside now. See you at school tomorrow, Princess." He smirked and walked away.
"Yeah, bye." I waved at him and we both walked into our houses. I was going to walk up to my room when a hand stopped me at the bottom of the stairs.
"You were gone for quite a while. Did you do the dirty?!" Cameron asked with a worried look.
"No, we're just friends! And barely that is. We just went to eat afterwards." I clarified.
"Okay, that better be it." Cameron said as he walked off.
I went up to my room and changed into my pajamas. I turned off my light and went to sleep smiling like an idiot. I don't even know why.
I felt like when we were outside of the McDonald's, Asher and I were just having fun. It felt like I was actually seeing him behind his act. It was... different.
A/N: Hey guys! I hoped you liked this chapter. It was a bit longer. Should I include Caleb more in the book? Tell me what you think. I'm also no expert in bmx at all so I probably messed something up. I'm sorry. Anyways, this picture is the person that plays Caleb Michaels. His name is Froy Gutierrez.
Please vote and keep reading! Thanks. Bye lovelies!!!❤❤❤
