Violet's POV-
"Uncle Vincent, can I please just train for a little bit!" I whined.
"Is your wound healed?" I groaned knowing it wasn't fully healed, but it wasn't fair! I was tired of just roaming his castle and lazing around all day!
It's been four days since I woke up here at Uncle Vince's castle. I was confused at first, but when William explained that he was preparing a big surprise for me, I was lenient to stay here in order to make him happy. I haven't seen William in 3 days, but we have been communicating through our mind link.
"That's what I thought, now why don't you head to your room. I have a meeting to attend to," he said as he kissed my forehead and left me in the dining room alone. I drank the rest of my orange juice and proceeded to climb the stairs. When I reached the last one I froze when I felt a different aura here in the castle. It was deadly, dangerous and had a power that was indescribable. Dad.
I flew down the stairs and followed the power, his scent was masked meaning he didn't want me to know he was here, but why?
I pulled forward my wolf, and masked my Dendrix scent. If he didn't want me to know he was here, it was for a reason and I was going to find out why.
"So, how's training going?" Uncle V asked. Training? Training for what?
"Our best guards are currently training the kid's pack. They're good I have to admit, and they learn quickly. I think we'll be ready for what's going to happen." What's going to happen? Why are the royal guards training a pack? What the hell is going on?!
"And the pup?" Who were they talking about?
"There's something off. I feel an energy within him that I have never seen in anyone besides one other person. I just can't seem to figure out why? He's good, better than any alpha I have ever seen and I've seen thousands throughout the years. He's too powerful to just be an Alpha. I've looked into his family tree and there are things that just don't add up. If it wasn't for the war tomorrow, I'd interrogate him," I silently gasped, war?! AND NO ONE FUCKING TOLD ME?! AND IT'S HAPPENING TOMORROW!
This is why I'm here, they've been trying to distract me.
I've heard enough, I'll play it how they want it for now, but tomorrow at the crack of dawn, I'm gone. I flew through the halls and up towards the room I've been staying in. Hmm, I should be worried about whatever is going tomorrow, but I have a feeling it has to do with those dirty hunters and whatever they're planning.
I have to figure out where this battle is taking place and what their plan is, but how can I do that when I'm being watched 24/7? Yeah I noticed guards watching me since the first day I was here. At first I thought it was because William was here and Uncle V was being paranoid, but now that William's gone, they're still there. I never bothered finding out because the guards never disturbed me, but now I can see it was because Uncle V and dad were paranoid on me finding out about this war.
I wonder if I teleported somewhere they'd still follow me. Better test it out. I imagined Uncle V's office, making sure he wasn't there before teleporting to it. I immediately masked my scent and then proceeded to quickly take a look through his files on his desk.
Territory maps, people's names, numbers, but they were all of Uncle V's kingdom, nothing that could lead me to the battle for tomorrow. I looked through the drawers and nope, nothing. I turned around with the hope of him having everything in his safe.
I took the painting of him and Auntie M, off the wall and quickly put in the code.

It was the month, day and year they first met. Yup they've known each other since 1812! I know super late, but its the fact that found each other that matters. It's hard for vampires to find their beloved's, takes a really long time usually, but in the end, the wait is worth the while. They're still as in love as the firs time they laid eyes on each other.
Anyways, back to the plan. I opened the safe and the first thing that caught my eye was a huge folder that I briefly noticed the name of. I quickly grabbed it and put it under my arm as I grabbed a map and unfolded it.
It was a map of William's territory. The war was happening on his land. He knew about this? That's who dad and Uncle V were talking about...
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LOST HER?!" I jumped at hearing the voice of Uncle V outside of the office. I closed everything, put the painting back and teleported back to my room, changing and heading to the balcony and sitting down. I grabbed the folder I borrowed and started to read it.
Alpha William Alexander Silver of the Silver Moon Pack

Known to be an Alpha from his mother's side, but father's side is unknown.
Raised by mother, abandoned by father at age 1, mother re-mated.
There wasn't much in it, just things he's done as an Alpha and some things about his childhood. What really caught my eye is that he didn't get his alpha genes from his father, he inherited both the genes and the pack from his mothers side. If this is true, could it be that....no, no it can't be...can it? And if what I believe is correct, who was the previous alpha? William's step father? I-How the hell is this possible?
When I rejected William, there was a force in him trying to come out. A Dendrix. I thought it was because he was mated to me, but in reality he was half Dendrix and I forced it to go back inside. If his Dendrix comes out again and I'm not there for him, who knows how many people he can kill.
I heard the door knob to my room turning and I quickly teleported the folder back to Uncle V's safe and relaxed making it look like I was here the whole time.
I felt tingles spread throughout my entire body and grinned. I turned and locked eyes with my mate.
"Hey Kitten," he grinned as he walked over to me and pecked me on the lips. He proceeded to lift me up from my chair and sat down making me sit on his lap.
"Hey," I said.
"Your uncle is freaking out downstairs because you disappeared.," he chuckled.
"I know, but how were you not panicking with him?" I asked.
"I felt your presence in the castle and it lead me to your room. I would tell your uncle, but he calls me a pup so I'll let him sweat it out a little more."
"Yeah but that's because you call him leech."
William shrugged and then looked out into the horizon.
"I wanted to talk to you actually." Will turned and looked at me giving me his full attention.
"I-Yo-I don't know how to approach the question. Uhm, I wanted to talk about your family," I blurted out in the end.
William sighed as if he knew we would be having this conversation at one point in our relationship.
"Well, you know my sister Heather, she's actually my half sister. My mother was originally mated to a Dendrix, I never knew him because he abandoned us by the time I had turned 1. A few years later when I was around 6, my mother re-mated to my step father. He was the Alpha to a neighboring pack. He was already 29 and hadn't found his mate, so he and my mother made a pact to joins packs. My sister was born a year later and when I turned 18, I was named Alpha," he explained.
I faintly heard whispers in the back of my mind and I realized it was William speaking to his wolf.
Best not tell her about the whole Dendrix situation. If she found out that we were in favor of killing Dendrix because of our resentment towards our real father she'll flip.
Yeah, who know's what she'll do. We'll explain when the time is right.
I blinked a few times, one thing was circling my mind right now. I stood up from William's lap, "S-so you knew you were half Dendrix and yet, you still killed them?" I asked in disbelief.
"W-wha-"
"How could you?! You killed your own kind! Even if you weren't the ones to end their life, you still knew of it! Hell you were in favor of your step dad's actions because you hated your father for abandoning you, making you hate your own kind too! And don't think about lying to me because I can read your mind and your emotions like an open book!" I was breathing hard the realization that William really and honestly did hate our kind hitting me hard.
My lip started trembling and my eyes were tearing up. William had pain and regret etched on his face, but he kept quiet knowing the things I had said were true.
"Leave. Get out, I can't stand the sight of you right now," I whispered.
"Kitten-"
"DON'T CALL ME THAT!" I shouted.
He looked hurt, but what I was feeling was ten times worse. He slowly nodded, "I know I was in the wrong, it was wrong of me to blame every Dendrix for a mistake my father committed. I know that now. You can't even imagine how truly regretful I am, but it won't change the past. I can just hope that one day you'll forgive me. And just know that the day I became Alpha, was the day the Dendrix killing stopped," he walked towards the door and took one more look at me before leaving.
I closed my eyes, knowing I had seconds to decide if I could ever forgive him. I rushed to the door, "William wait!"

Yes yes this update was long over due, but I've been so busy with a few things I needed to get done these past few weeks. But here it is and I'm sorry if it made no sense, but I've been sleep deprived for a few days and my sleeping schedule is way. Now I'm off to take a nap! Orr update my other book. Eh...
