Violet's POV-
"WIlliam! You promised!" I shouted.
I had met Heather an hour ago and we instantly clicked. She helped me get ready for our shopping trip, like picking out comfortable clothes that won't bother me because we would be trying on a lot of things. We gossiped about our mates and how freakishly possessive they are.
Bates and William had gone to a meeting early this morning, but were now back and William was refusing to let me leave.
"Well you're not leaving in that outfit," he crossed his arms.
I looked at him with the "are you stupid?" face. "There is nothing wrong with my outfit!"
"Those shorts are too short, and that shirt shows too much skin. Go change and you can leave," he said.
"First of all, these shorts are mid thigh because it's freaking 85 degrees outside! And second of all, this is a TANKTOP!"
"I. DON'T. GIVE. A. FUCK. GO. CHANGE," he growled.
I glared, "No."
"I SAID GO CHANGE!" he snapped while he shouted.
"Come on Heather," I grabbed her arm and we ran outside. "IF YOU FOLLOW US, I SWEAR I WON'T TALK TO YOU FOR A WEEK WILLIAM ANTHONY SILVER!"
He stopped dead in his tracks and growled. Before I knew it he used his wolf speed and was in front of my holding me tightly against him.
"Just you wait kitten. We'll see who's handing out punishments when you get home," he whispered lowly in my ear, I shivered.
"Have fun baby," he grinned before kissing me and letting me go.
His kiss left me dazed, and I blinked a few times before Heather grabbed my arm and lead me to one of the three huge SUV's waiting for us.
"Uhh, you know what Heather, do you mind if we plan next week instead? Please?" I said.
"You sure?" she questioned.
"Yeah, I'll just give him the silent treatment. Why don't you come tonight with Bates and we can all have dinner instead?"
"Sounds like a plan! We'll be here around 6 to help you. Is there anything you need me to get?" she asked.
"Nope, I'll make a list and send one of the pack members, since I doubt William will let me go to the store. I'll see you tonight," I grinned before we hugged each other goodbye. I walked back to the house. William was smirking, but he lost it once he saw my neutral expression as I walked right past him.
I walked to one of the guards that was standing by the door with a deadly expression, but once he saw me walking towards him, he smiled.
"Luna," he greeted.
"Hello..." I trailed off not knowing his name.
"Jackson," he said politely.
"Jackson, hello. Please call me Violet. I was wondering if you could run to the store and get me a few things I need."
"It would be an honor," he said seriously.
"Thank you, come with me," We walked to the kitchen and I grabbed a paper and pen on the way. I quickly made a list of things I would need and handed it to him after thanking him, with that he left to find one more guard to help him with everything.
"Kitten?"Â I rolled my eyes, cute pet names won't save him.
"Hmm?" I asked as I grabbed a magazine and waited for Jackson to be back with the things.
I sat on the couch in the living room with William right behind me.
"You mad?"
"Nope, I'll go some other time with Heather," I dismissed.
"Ok!" he said happily as he jumped on the couch and turned on the TV. I once again rolled my eyes, 'Men!' I thought before getting up and retreating to our room.
I spent about half an hour in there, I half expected Will to come after me but he didn't. Hmm....
I left our room and walked downstairs seeing 12 guards, one at each door and window. What the hell.
"Luna," they all greeted.
"Where's William?"
"Rogue problem, we've been ordered to guard you. He should be back any minute," on of the guards let me know.
I nodded and walked to the kitchen where the groceries I asked for were set on the counter.
"Thanks Jackson!" I called out, knowing if he was here he would hear me.
"Welcome Luna!" I heard and chuckled.
I got to making steaks for everyone, rice, potatoes and some other veggies on the side. It took me about an hour and a half to cook everything, don't ask me how I got it done, I just did.
"Lunch everyone!" I called.
The guards didn't move, but I could hear their stomach's growling.
"I said lunch!" I snapped in my Luna voice, every guard came running in with their heads bowed and each one sat down in a seat.
"Relax and just eat guys, " I chuckled.
It took a few minutes, but then everyone was eating and cracking jokes. I learned all of their names, all of their mates names, and if they had kids or not.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!" Every guard froze in their seat, I snapped my head towards the kitchen entrance, William looked like he could kill someone at this very moment.
"Alpha," they all scrambled to stand up.
"No! Sit." I ordered as I walked over to William, my eyes focused on his torso.
"Violet, not now," he snapped.
"Shut up and come with me," I grabbed his hand and dragged him to the nearest bathroom.
"Don't go snapping at them later, I told them to sit and eat," I explained as I made him lean on the counter.
"They're warriors, they were supposed to be alert in case any danger was around so they could protect you!" he growled.
"I insisted, now don't snap at them or I'll be mad because it was my fault in the first place. Now, care to tell me what happened?"
"I was alerted that there were rogues on the west boarder. They're scents were weird, something I've never smelt before so I had guards sent here to protect you in case anything happened. There were about seven rogues, almost as if they were just waiting to get caught. The leader had fucking silver in his claws and got me before I killed him," he grunted as I dabbed alcohol onto his bloody wound, it was almost healed either way.
"Did you kill them all?" I asked as I put a gauze on the wound.
"No, two of them ran, they used some weird bow and arrow shit to pull them up into the trees," he growled.
I froze.
Bow and arrow....
Up into the trees....
"Can you explain their scent?"
"It wasn't repulsive like a normal rogue's scent. It smelled almost like cherry blossoms. I've smelt it before, but I just can't remember where."
"They're here."
"Who?"
"The hunters. The Dendrix hunters! They're plan was never to wait, but that means if they're already coming after me, then they were already at..." my eyes widened in realization.
JAMES!!!!!! PALACE NOW!
I didn't even give William a chance to react before I pulled the portal up and stepped through it. I gasped at the sight before me.
Fuck.

Cliff hangers for dayssss!
Sorry it's been so long since I last updated, but I plan on finishing this book by the end of this up coming week.
6 days of writing, around 6 chapters until the finale. Wow.
