Chapter 13- Puppy Mode

Violet's POV-

My cheeks were permanently red.

I was in the shower, barely able to stand from the earth shattering orgasm William gave me in the kitchen. Oh goddess, if that was oral sex, imagine sex sex. I took a deep breathe. This is just for today, William will be back to normal tomorrow.

Right now he was taking a nap...after I once again punctured his neck and made him fall asleep. He wanted to go further, and right now I didn't want to, but he was an Alpha male in heat and he wouldn't take no for an answer.

I shut off the water and dried myself before dressing in leggings and one of Will's shirts. I went downstairs, and sat down on the couch,  just thinking.

How my life was messed up. I was a future queen in hiding. I have hunters breathing down my neck and its only a matter of time before they find me. I can't even go back to my kingdom because my father said I wasn't allowed. Apparently I was in more danger if I stayed at the castle than somewhere unknown and far away. Best I can do right now is stay away and try my best to survive.

I shut off the water and did everything I normally did. I put on my underwear and one of Will's shirts, towel drying my hair as I walked out of the bathroom. I stopped mid- step when I felt something odd in the room. William wasn't on the bed.

Mate. Go to mate my Dendrix said.

"William?" I left the room, following his scent downstairs. He was sitting on the couch just staring into space.

I took slow hesitant steps towards him until I was standing in front of him, "Will?" his eyes snapped towards mine and I stepped back making him lean forward and grab my shirt pulling me to stand in between his legs. He tried to sit me on his lap, but something was off about him.

"William. No- William! NO!" I shouted as I pushed his probing hands away.

William whimpered before scrambling to the corner of the living room.

What the fuck?!

This is apart of the Dendrix mating. He is an Alpha male who was in heat and due to not mating, his soul went into a vulnerable state, which is why he will be acting like a pup for 12-24 hours.

You've got to be fucking kidding me!

Patience!

I sighed as I looked towards William who was in the corner pouting at me.

"Come on William," I sighed. It was only 1 pm, I had to get a start on with lunch.

"What do you want for lunch?"

"PASTA!" I almost awed at his voice. Somehow is was nice and sweet, not deep and husky like normal.

"You like pasta?"

He nodded vigorously. "With lots of cheese!" he blurted out and I made a mental note to remember that.

While the water was boiling I noticed William's eyes kept on darting towards the window looking at the woods in longing.

"Do you want to go for a run?" once again he nodded vigorously. "Go, but not too far, lunch will be ready soon," I warned.

He ran out of the door shifting and running in circles, rolling on the ground and chasing butterflies. I would actually believe he was a pup if it wasn't for his size.

I went back to preparing the pasta before getting out some ingredients to make cupcakes, I had a weird craving for them right now.

I made the batter and put them in the oven before checking on the pasta to make sure it was boiled, then taking out the water before putting a ton load of tomato sauce. I looked up to the window noticing William gone.

Oh no!

"William?!" I ran outside. The last thing William needed right now was for his pack to see their Alpha acting like a pup.

"WILLIAM?!" I turned the corner of the house and froze.

William was rolling around in a puddle of mud.

"Damien!" I snapped. His wolf whined as he stopped and looked up giving me an innocent look, but I knew better.

"You are covered in mud!" He flopped out his tongue.

"You're going to stain the whole house with mud!" He gave me a wolfish grin before standing up and taking slow steps towards me.

"No, Damien," I warned as I backed up. My eyes quickly darted to my left, seeing the hose.

"I will get the hose!" I threatened. His steps froze and his eyes were practically daring me to try.

I slowly grinned, feeling my playful side come out to join him. I let my Dendrix come out a little, just enough to give my speed a little boost. As soon as I moved, Damien lunged. I grabbed the hose and sprayed him as he started rubbing his muddy fur on me.

"William!" I screamed as I laughed and sprayed him some more.

Once he was all clean, I was the one who was left muddy and the little bad Alpha just had to shake causing all the water land on me.

I stared him with a "Really?" look on my face to which he just grinned showing all of his sharp canines before he took off running towards the front door of the house.

I trudged after him, ignoring the fact that there was a trail of water leading upstairs and that soon there would be one of mud as I walked upstairs, but not before making a quick stop to the kitchen, turning off the cupcakes just in time and making sure the pasta was still warm. I walked upstairs and noticed a furry tail sticking out of the closet and walked straight to the shower, not thinking about anything else besides getting all of this mud off of me.

"Shit," I cursed. I forgot to grab some clothes, but William was most likely already clothes and downstairs or quietly sitting on the couch.

I wrapped a towel around myself and walked out, William was holding a tablet, playing a game on it.  I quickly changed into some yoga pants, a loose t-shirt and some socks. I quickly went back towards the stairs to clean up the mess when I noticed that everything was already squeaky clean. Confused I turned around and headed back to the room.

"William?" He looked up, still having that innocent look on his face.

"Yes?"

"Did you clean up?" I went to sit next to him on the edge of the bed.

He nodded shyly, woah, I've never seen William this shy, well then again he is acting like how a pup would. He's shy, energetic, mischievous, but overall kind and thoughtful all in one.

"Thank you baby," I ran my hands through his silky hair, I really wanted to kiss him, but I don't think that would be wise, plus he's acting like a pup, it would be like kissing a little kid...awkward, but to my surprise......

William leaned forward and gently pecked my lips. I looked at him surprised.

"You're so pretty," he smiled.

I blushed, "Come on, the pasta will be cold and I made cupcakes for desert," I grinned back.

He gasped, "CUPCAKES!" he yelled as he got up from the bed and ran through the house screaming cupcakes.

This day is just...so weird...

I ran after William, laughing as he almost tripped on the last step but caught himself last minute.

I wasn't hungry, so I just served William a lot of pasta with a lot of cheese, he's still an Alpha a.k.a they eat A LOT,  before going over to the cupcakes and frosting them.

By the time I was done frosting the cupcakes, William was done with his plate. He had a whole bunch of tomato sauce all around his mouth, his cheeks and somehow on his forehead.

He looked so cute.

I grabbed a napkin and cleaned his face giggling as he tried to pout but kept grinning when I laughed.

Ten minutes later he had frosting all over his face and again I cleaned it.

He was about to say something when he was cut off.

"HUNTERS!" As soon as that was heard we could hear screams, growls, snarls and gunshots. I could hear the front door break open and I looked at William in fright, but he was way more frightened than I was.  Fuck! This pack had an Alpha who isn't in his right of mind right now! What the hell am I going to do?!

I have to suck it up and go help my pack, while the Alpha is unable to commit to his duties, the Luna is supposed to step up and become their Alpha Female.

"William, go hide in the pantry ok?" I pushed him towards the pantry and quickly started running towards the living room where I could hear people's footsteps coming towards me. I tried to call out for my Dendrix, but she was silent, something was wrong. My wolf was silent too and I was starting to really panic.

"Dendrix Queen," the hunter snarled out and before I knew it I was face to face with a shotgun, it made me feel nauseous for some reason, but I soon knew why...wolfsbane covered bullets wrapped with a flossom leaf.

Oh no...They found me...They fucking found me... I thought I had more time to come up with a plan... How the fuck did they find me?!

I didn't have time to react before I felt a searing pain in my chest, I looked down, blood, lots and lots of blood coating my hands and clothes. Fuck, there went my plan of being Alpha Female and helping the pack.

I could faintly hear a roar ring throughout the house as I lost movement in my body making me fall to the floor, my mind focused on only one thought before I lost consciousness...

William.
