Violet's POV-
I was panicking, I didn't understand how William could be shifting when he wasn't one of us, I knew he wasn't one of us, so how could this be happening?
I took a deep breath and let the power flow through me as I let my Dendrix out, but had enough power to control her movements.
I felt sparks shoot out of my hand as William passed out, I let my hand touch his chest, forcing the Dendrix in him back, I knew he was dying to come out and meet his mate, as was mine, but this timing was not the best. If anything, I would only be able to hold it back for a few months while I searched for something to force it back forever. Knowing that his Dendrix was not out, just not being able to shift, William's emotions would be all over the place. Knowing him, he would be more possessive, more controlling, he'll be stubborn, over-bearing, everything. Using my energy, I grabbed William and transported to his room, laying him down on his bed. I needed to go check on James, he should be waking up in a few hours and I need to get him back to Melanie, she must be freaking out feeling his pain through their bond, who would have thought he would have ended up with a witch?
I transported to the cells and grabbed James' hand transporting to Melanie's cabin and into their room.
"MELANIE!" I called and if I blinked I wouldn't have seen the slight blur that moved through the room and threw themselves at James, luckily I caught her, she would have disturbed the healing process and caused him pain if she jumped on him, but I understand she just wants to touch him, to make sure he was really here and alive.
"What happened?" she cried.
"We were captured, I was too late, since I'm a royal, I had the ability to save him. Luckily he wasn't killed with flossom, a Dendrix' worst weakness or I wouldn't have been able to do so," I explained briefly, I had to get back to William, my Dendrix and wolf won't stop thrashing in me, if this continues they'll clash and I'll be over powered.
"He'll wake up in a few hours good as new, when he does, tell him to reach out to me, I need to speak with him," I said and Melanie nodded as she clutched onto his hands like her life depended on it.
"I'll be back tomorrow," I said.
She nodded and I transported back to William's room, I saw him sweating in bed, groaning in pain, but not being able to wake up. He was whimpering my name and reaching out to find me which made my eyes cloud with tears as my throat seemed to get smaller and smaller. He didn't deserve this; he's the monster he hates. The thought that he couldn't accept my true self brought a pain deep within me.
"I'll find a way to make it ok, you won't be like me, I promise," I whispered to him as I gently touched his forehead instantly soothing him, calming down his whimpers and groans of pain.
After a few minutes I walked out on a mission to find the Beta and ask for a few things. As soon as I closed the door to William's bedroom and took a step I bumped into a wall, literally.
I looked up not affected by it, "I'm so sorry Luna," the guy said. He was almost as big as William, is he the Beta?
"Um that's ok and please call me Violet," I said softly.
"I'm Bates, the Beta," he grinned from ear to ear. I smiled back at him, "Just the person I was looking for," I said.
"How may I be of assistance?" he asked.
"William is sleeping right now, can I get a bowl of cold water and a wash cloth, along with directions to the kitchen so I can make him something to eat."
"Is the Alpha alright?" he asked concerned.
"Yes, he will be, but please warm water and directions," I said hurridly remembering that William's back maybe bleeding due to his wings wanting to come out.
"Yes of course, I'll be right back," he said. I walked inside and soon there was a knock on the door.
I let Bates in and he pulled up a chair setting large bowl of warm water on it. I thanked him after he gave me directions to the kitchen.
Once alone with William, I turned him around in his bed gently using some extra strength since he was huge! I ripped his shirt with my claws and gently with the warm water to clean up the excess blood, and then biting my wrist let droplets of blood onto his back, watching as in seconds his slash wounds were gone. I rolled him back on the bed and took off the rest of the ripped shirt and let him rest while I went to make him some food. It seemed unreal that a mere half hour ago I had rejected him and now I was tending to his wounds.
"I take back my rejection," I whispered into the quiet room before leaving to the kitchen.
No one was here and for that I was thankful, it still quite awkward and scary knowing that this pack could potentially kill me. I cooked William some backed chicken, with herbs and some sauces, throwing in some rice with vegetables. Once I was finished I set it on the side, putting a note on it that said Alpha, just to be sure since I wasn't sure if this was William's house or the pack house, but knowing that no one would dare touch anything that had Alpha written on it. I walked back up to William's room and he was still asleep. I walked to his huge bed and sat next him, running my fingers through his hair, watching his scrunched up face relax.
Hours later-
I checked the clock and noticed it was late, I needed to check up on James, I slid off the bed and walked out the door.
"Bates?" I called out.
"Yes Lun-Violet," he corrected himself when I gave him a glare.
"Can you keep an eye on William, I need to go check up on a friend, but I'll be back before midnight," I explained.
"Ok," he smiled before walking towards William's room.
"Oh and if he wakes up before I come, I left some food with his name on it, heat it up and give it to him, I know he'll be hungry," I said.
"Of course," Bates said before walking inside the room and I transported to Melanie's house.
"Has he woken up yet?" I asked as I saw Melanie come out of his room.
"He woke up literally five minutes ago, you can go in, I'm going to make him some food," she answered before disappearing downstairs.
"Good to see you're awake," I said.
"Thank you for reviving me," he nodded.
"I wish I could have gotten to you sooner, Melanie went three days thinking you were dead, I'm sorry I caused her that pain, but they had me with fucking flossom," I growled out, trying to ignore the pain and anger.
"We need to talk about that by the way, your mates pack hunts our kind," he said.
"I know and we will, once William wakes up. Today, I woke up this morning and I could let the anger and betrayal escape me, I rejected William and as soon as I did, he started shifting....he was turning into one of us," I explained.
James looked at me as I were crazy, "We need to get answers soon," and I nodded in agreement.
"I'm sleeping over William's tonight, I know that my wolf and Dendrix will calm him down until he wakes up," I said.
He nodded, "Rest up," I said.
"You too, you were with flossom, you know there could be potential side effects," he reminded and I nodded knowing full well what happens to our kind when we come in contact with flossom, antidote or no antidote.
I grabbed a bag with some extra clothes and transported to outside of William's room.
"Well, it's good to see your awake, William," I heard Bates say.
"Fuck that was painful," William sighed out.
"What happened?" Bates asked.
"I don't know," William was truly confused as were we.
"You should've seen her Will, she tended to your wounds as if you were the only thing that mattered, she cleaned the blood and then she bit her hand and let blood drip onto your back, but within seconds it was gone along with your wounds. I was going to ask her something, but watched instead, creepy I know, but it was so cool," Bates gushed and I blushed.
"Where is she?" William whimpered.
"Don't worry, I checked up on her twice, she didn't leave your side, only to make you food, which by the way here it is, I heated it up a few minutes ago when you started waking up. It smells awesome, but I have a feeling she would kill me if I touched the food she made for you. She said she would be back before midnight, which is..." he trailed off, it almost one in the morning.
"WHAT- ow" William groaned.
I took that as my chance to teleport in, to make it look like I hadn't been over hearing.
"You're awake," I said softly. William was in bed, a bowl of the food in his lap.
"You're back," William honestly looked surprised.
"Surprised?" I questioned.
"No...." he trailed off, I knew he had his doubts.
"Well I'll be heading out now, night Alpha, Luna," Bates grinned.
"Eat," I ordered once Bates once gone as I set my bag on a chair and sat in the one next to his bed.
"What happened to me?" he questioned.
"I'm not sure, but I'll find out soon," I did know what was happening, I just didn't understand how it was happening to him, somewhere along the line there had to be someone that was a Dendrix in his family.
"You rejected me," he whimpered.
"No, I took it back," I whispered and I saw his eyes lit up, "Now eat," I ordered once more.
I saw William stuff a spoonful of the rice and chicken into his mouth and groan, "Oh god, you made this?" he asked.
"Yes?" I said confused.
"This is the best thing I've ever tasted!" he exclaimed stuffing more and more of it in his mouth.
I grinned and sat down next to him on the bed, the chair being uncomfortable.
"Thank you," he said once I handed him the cup of iced tea that was on the bedside.
"Welcome," I answered.
"Listen about today," he started but I cut him off.
"We'll talk about it later," I said feeling tired.
He nodded, and pulled me to him on the bed, I was going to complain, but decided not to. Just for once I wanted to relax and just as I was falling asleep someone broke through my mind barrier.
"PRINCESS! THE KINGDOM IS BEING ATTACKED!" I heard my father's second in command yell.
"Mother f*cker!" I yelled out loud startling William as I sat up and hurriedly took out a small bottle from my bag, throwing its substance into the air and focusing on the kingdom. Once the image appeared, I couldn't believe my eyes, it's true, the kingdom is being attacked.
"What is that?" William asked.
"My kingdom," I said briefly as I then focused my vision on every Dendrix on Earth and let my Dendrix come out to make the royal command.
"CALLING ALL DENDRIX ON EARTH. IN FIVE MINUTES, EVERYONE IS TO REPORT TO THE DENDRIX REALM. THE KINGDOM IS BEING ATTACKED, PREPARE FOR BATTLE, I REPEAT THE KINGDOM IS BEING ATTACKED, PREPARE FOR BATTLE" I ordered.
"WHAT THE FUCK! What's happening?" he shouted as the liquid substance returned to the bottle and I flashed my hands making a black suit and cape appear in my hands.
"I'm going to war," I growled out.
