As Lin Sifei fixated on Luo Keâs cold expression all the way, she was trying to comfort herself by thinking, Normal people usually donât suspect that their cat is not a cat.
This type of confidence completely disappeared when she was thrown on the sofa.
Luo Ke stared at her, âYouâre not a cat, you are a demon, right? Come on, turn into your human form. You speak in my dreams. You should scold people face to face, not cowardly behind their back.â
Lin Sifei looked at her with big eyes and tilted her head cutely. What are you talking about? I donât understand.
Luo Ke raised her hand to her lips and took a deep breath, âStop pretending.â
âUm⦠Miâ¦Miss Luo.â
Luo Ke turned back abruptly and saw Aunt Wu looking at her in shock, âMiss Luo, are you okay?â
Luo Ke clenched her hands, closed her eyes, and turned around, âIâm fine.â
Aunt Wu made an âohâ expression and took off her apron, âThe meals are ready, so Iâll go.â
When Aunt Wu reached the door, she turned her head back, âYou young people are under a lot of pressure. Money is important, but health is more important.â
âI know.â Luo Ke softly tapped forehead with her hand.
After Aunt Wu left, Luo Ke did calm down a bit. She leaned over Lin Sifei, âAre you a cat?â
Lin Sifei played stupid to the end and only meowed, âMeow~â
Luo Ke lowered her head, slightly helpless, walked over to the kitchen, brought her the goatâs milk, and sat alone at the table to eat.
Lin Sifei poked her head out to look at Luo Ke, heaved a sigh of relief, and went back to drink the goatâs milk. It wasnât that she had never thought of simply confessing to Luo Ke, but her state just now was not acceptable at all.
She licked the corners of her lips. How could Luo Ke doubt her? Normal people would not usually not doubt their cat.
She doesnât actually have any mental problems, right! Lin Sifei wrinkled her face and took another peek at her. This villainâs attitude later in the book was a very world-weary type attitude.
Lin Sifei sighed, and decided that she must dispel Luo Keâs doubts about her.
After drinking the milk, Lin Sifei pushed out a ball of yarn, ran to Luo Keâs feet, and meowed at her.
When Luo Ke shifted her feet, her toes just brushed the ball, so Lin Sifei immediately jumped to chase the ball of yarn. After chasing for a while, she pounced around, swatting at thin air, and then snuck under a chair.
Luo Ke observed her movements, and reflected that it was indeed no different from ordinary cats. Was she really thinking too much?
She pressed her fingers to her eyebrows briefly and then got up to tidy up, and then headed upstairs.
Lin Sifei, knowing the importance of pleasing her owner, climbed the stairs to the study with great difficulty, vowing to be a sensible and well-behaved cat with silent companionship.
Luo Ke sat at the desk, fingers tapping on the keyboard.
Lin Sifei grabbed the leg of the chair and tried to climb up, but unfortunately, she slid back down three times, as her hind legs didnât even leave the ground.
With a sigh, Luo Ke circled an arm under her belly and placed Lin Sifei onto the chair.
Lin Sifei just proceeded to obediently curl up on the chair, watching Luo Ke work.
Luo Ke worked hard afterwards, not sparing a glance at Lin Sifei.
Lin Sifei licked her lips, thinking, A woman in deep concentration is so beautiful.
Kittens always sleep a lot, and as Lin Sifei basically didnât sleep during the day, she now was sleepy. After lying down, her head started to droop.
She fought the sleepiness with her eyelids, trying to keep them apart, but the sleepiness completely defeated her soon after and she fell asleep on the chair.
When Luo Ke finished addressing her last mail, she raised her head to loosen her neck. She gazed at the sleeping kitten next to her for a while silently.
It was ridiculous to suspect that a cat is a demon. Luo Ke thought so too, but she didnât know what was going on. Seeing all the little details, she believed the cat really understood people. The sounds in her dreams were so weird. She had checked the roomâs surveillance and no strange people appeared around the house.
She pressed the bridge of her nose with two fingers and stood up. Maybe she had been too tired recently, thinking too much during the day and dreaming at night.
She stood up, bent over and picked up the sleeping cat from the chair.
Xiaoxiao rolled over in her arms and stretched sleepily.
When Lin Sifei opened her eyes and felt that she was against someoneâs chest and saw a large face full of makeup, in her dazed state from sleep, immediately forgot that she was currently a cat. She yowled, her fur standing up on end, and twisted away from Luo Ke, landing on the ground harshly.
Lin Sifei felt a flash of pain through her front paw, and yowled again.
Luo Ke, startled, immediately kneeled on the ground, but out of fear, did not touch Lin Sifei.
Lin Sifei stretched out one paw and seemingly pointed to her other paw, as if expressing âIt hurts!â
Luo Ke immediately dialed the number of the pet hospital, taking Lin Sifei there on a pet stretcher in the middle of the night.
Lin Sifei looked at the cast on her leg and waved a paw at Luo Ke.
âMeow~â She rushed towards Luo Ke. Itâs your fault, itâs your fault, if you Luo Ke wasnât that scary, she definitely would not have cracked a bone in her leg.
Luo Ke had toiled for an entire day, and still endured Lin Sifei knocking her paws on her. Finally, Luo Ke placed Lin Sifei next to her pillow and said, âSleep.â
âMeow!â Lin Sifei continued to curse Luo Ke.
After a long day, Luo Ke was really tired, and paid no attention to what noise Lin Sifei made. Instead, Luo Ke closed her eyes and went to sleep.
Lin Sifei watched Luo Ke ignore herself, rushed forward and lightly bit Luo Keâs nose tip, and fell asleep next to the pillow.
In her sleep, Luo Ke started to dream again. She was lying in a place shrouded with white mist, and the voice scolding her in previous dreams appeared again.
âYou let a cat you were holding fall, donât you pay attention?â
âDo you know how much a broken bone hurts? Believe it or not, Iâll break a bone in your hand!â
âYouâre not nice at all! Being your cat is so unfortunate!â
Luo Ke could feel her temples pulsing, âHow would I know that she would fall, and would break her bones by accident. I was bent over and was not high at all from the ground.â
âAnd you are still fierce to me! I broke a bone!â
Luo Keâs pupils shrank, and immediately turned to look behind her. The white mist dissipated a little, revealing a tall bedside table, with Xiaoxiao crouched on it, waving her plastered paw, yelling and accusing.
âDonât you feel bad? Iâm your cat!â
Luo Keâs heart missed a beat, her catâ
She strode towards her, as if it were not a big deal for a cat to speak human words.
Lin Sifei panicked and limped back, âWhat are you doing! What are you doing! You donât hit a personâs- wait, a catâs face!â
When Luo Ke raised her hand, Lin Sifei panicked even more, and almost cried like she had been terribly wronged, âItâs not that I want to be a cat!â
Luo Ke raised her hand and lifted her injured paw, âDoes it hurt?â
Lin Sifeiâs eyes were teary and her voice prolonged, âIt hurtsââ
Luo Ke lowered her head and blew lightly into her paws, âIt will not hurt after I blow some air over it.â
She leaned down, her eyelashes casting a shadow on her face. Lin Sifei looked at her, her nose sour, and tears couldnât help but fall.
âWhy canât you raise me well? I have tried so hard to be cute, trying to be a cat,â she cried, tears rolling down her cat face and splashing onto her fur.
Luo Ke hurriedly wiped her tears, âI am also trying to support you.â
âBut you still scared me!â
âI didnât scare you. â
Lin Sifei curled her lips, âYou point to me called a demon, do youâ¦do you want to burn me to death or study me?
Luo Ke shook her head helplessly, âWhat are you thinking? I just think you seem like a person.â
Lin Sifeiâs eyes rolled around, âI, Iâm really not a human being.â
âThen how can you speak human words?â Luo Ke scratched her chin.
âActually, Iâm a Flerken!1â
âWhatâs that?â Luo frowned suspiciously.
Lin Sifei looked at her in surprise. This world didnât have this type of relevant content? She grinned and bared her teeth, âItâs an alien creature.â
Luo Ke thought she was lying, but looking at her wet fur, just sighed and rubbed her head, âWell okay, alien cat.â
The white mist shrouded them again. When Luo Ke opened her eyes, the sky was still rather dark outside. She looked at Xiaoxiao next to her pillow, as she was sleeping, her mouth opened and closed with a low wailing sound.
She laughed. Still scolding me, eh?
Soon she fell asleep again.
Early the next morning, when Lin Sifei opened her eyes, the strange dream she had ;ast night came back to her mind. Hahaha, Luo Ke actually believed that she was a Flerken.
While smiling, Luo Ke came out after taking a shower, her wet hair draped over her shoulders. The water dripped onto Luo Keâs thin white pajamas, leaving them slightly see-through.
Lin Sifei blinked, and then wisely and graciously turned her head.
Luo Ke picked up a dry towel and wiped her hair, and approached her, âOur alien cat is awake?â
Lin Sifeiâs eyes widened instantly. Wait, what? Wasnât it a dream? How did Luo Ke know the content of her dream?
Luo Ke, seeing that she didnât respond, poked Lin Sifeiâs forehead with her finger, âWhy donât you speak?â
Lin Sifei swallowed, âMeow~â
Luo Ke frowned, âWhy are you meowing again, donât you know how to talk?â
âMeow!â She really canât speak, otherwise, why would she meow and not speak?
âAre you scolding me again?!â Luo Ke narrowed her eyes, pinching Lin Sifeiâs head with two fingers.
Lin Sifei licked the corners of her mouth and emitted another soft âmeowâ.
Luo Ke frowned, looked at her appearance, and said to himself: âIt really canât speak, was it really only a dream last night?â
She frowned suspiciously and took out the hairdryer from the drawer to blow her hair.
Lin Sifei let out a long sigh of relief when she heard those words. Seemed like she had to be careful in her dreams in the future, since her and Luo Keâs dreams were magically related.
Then she shook her head triumphantly again. Last night, when Luo Ke expressed her feelings, Lin Sifei was confident it meant that Luo Ke had already fallen prey her cute appearance. Lin Sifei thought confidently, âIâm going to be the big boss behind the scenes in the future.â
She didnât see that when she let out her sigh of relief, Luo Ke, who was standing in front of the drawer, raised her eyes, and the TV screen in front of her reflected the cat behind her.
Relieved? It didnât seem to be a complete dream. Flerken? Interesting.
First non overlapping chapter! I actually had to look up that reference because I donât watch Marvel lol, but that is a really apt connection right there, in my opinion. Also, happy first day of the second half of 2021, yay! Thanks for reading and have a good day!
