CH 31.1

When she got home, Lin Sifei ran upstairs, changed her clothes again, and went downstairs, feeling much more refreshed.

“Much more comfortable.” She lay on the sofa, but after laying there for a while, she couldn’t shake off a strange feeling.

She curled her eyebrows inward and thought about it for a while, but it was then when a glass of orange juice was stuffed into her hand.

Lin Sifei raised her head and watched Luo Ke sit down next to her, picking up her computer to work. Upon seeing that, Lin Sifei widened her eyes and snapped her fingers.

“I wondered why I felt that something was wrong.” She leaned close to Luo Ke and narrowed her eyes. “Why aren’t you talking to me tonight?”

“I haven’t?”

“Of course, what’s upsetting? Tell me, I’ll help you analyze it.”

Luo Ke glanced at her, not wanting to talk about her being a demon, “Didn’t you say that you are going to enter the entertainment industry this month to film? Although it is only the beginning of the month, where are you going to find a project?”

“So you were worried about that.” Lin Sifei pursed her lips and smiled.

She smirked, lifted her butt and moved to her side, “Well, Chair Luo—”

“I always feel that you call me Chair Luo, it’s for nothing good.” Luo Ke got up, as if to run.

Lin Sifei hugged her arm and hummed coquettishly, “Don’t be like this, Chair Luo, I’m your cat anyway, and your friend outside. My reputation is like your face. You won’t bear Yan Yafei slapping your face, will you?

“Yes, I’ll bear it, contrary to your expectations.” The frustrated Chair Luo was very cold and ruthless, raising her hand to pull out her arm from Lin Sifei’s grasp.

“Chair — Luo —” Lin Sifei dragged her voice out, hanging onto Luo Ke’s arm, “I’m super awesome, I can definitely make your entertainment company make money, really!”

“I don’t rely on that to make most of my money.”

“But the entertainment company is really good at money making!” Lin Sifei straightened up, pouting her mouth to look at her, “And now I have no identity, no education, I only have the entertainment industry, which is a place that only looks at face and character. I want to make money. I want to make money to buy things for you. I can’t buy gifts for you and still use your money.”

Luo Ke paused and was immediately dragged back by Lin Sifei to sit down.

“Come on.”

“Even if I have an entertainment company for you, how can you whip it into shape in a month?”

Lin Sifei blinked, “That’ll depend on you.”

Luo Ke frowned and looked at her, feeling that she had been scammed.

Half an hour later, Luo Ke hung up a call with a famous Director Chen’s and took a deep breath, “I’ve really lost a lot this time. He really dared to ask for a 100 million dollar investment.”

Lin Sifei smiled and leaned against the table, holding the movie disc in his hand, “His movies are very good. Give him the 100 million investment. He won’t use it extravagantly, he’ll be using all of it on the good stuff.”

“This investment is actually for his next film.  His current film still will need some new investments, and I am afraid that the entertainment company’s funds are not enough. Let me plan to give a little more from the regular company.”

“Luo Ke, you are so kind!” Lin Sifei rushed forward and hugged her.

She squeezed to the computer and said, “I want to check your company’s mailbox. There should be screenwriters sending in the scripts.”

“It’s better to use the company’s in-house screenwriter, their level of writing is still guaranteed.”

Lin Sifei curled her lips, “There is a starting level but not necessarily the quality I need, some of them are slackers. Sometimes they may not be as good as a new screenwriter with no background. We will ask the old screenwriter to make changes later.”

“It’s another sum of money.” Luo Ke glanced at her.

Lin Sifei smiled, “You already spent a lot, do you still care about this?”

“Isn’t my money still money?!” Luo Ke reached out and poked her forehead.

Lin Sifei fell back exaggeratedly, her left leg cocked, as if she could not stand firmly, “I will earn it back.”

Luo Ke grabbed her ankle and pulled the person back, “If the movie I invested in is worthless, that will be a real bad look on my reputation.”

“No, no, this movie I have an eye on is just a small cost production.”

Luo Ke let go of her, “How much do you want in investments.”

Lin Sifei blinked and stretched out a finger, “One… one hundred million?”

Luo Ke slanted her eyes and stared at her, causing Lin Sifei to change her words in a second, “Fifty, fifty million, no less.”

She pursed her lips into a pout, and launched a cute attack again.

Luo Ke sighed, “Fine, fifty million.”

Lin Sifei hugged her happily and leaned in to kiss her. When her lips were 0.1 meters away from Luo Ke’s cheeks, she suddenly stopped.

Oh, no, Luo Ke was not her agent, nor her friend to tease. Now, with their unclear relationship, kissing seemed to be inappropriate.

Luo Ke was waiting for Lin Sifei to kiss her, but she saw her cat pull back, and even purse her lips.

Luo Ke’s face darkened. This 50 million was so not worth it!

Lin Sifei pulled herself back, slowly stood up straight, and folded her hands behind her back, although her fingers intertwined themselves back and forth, unsettled. She asked, “Luo Ke… what do you think our current relationship is?”

“What do you think it is?” Luo Ke folded her hands over her chest and leaned back. Compared to Lin Sifei’s obedient posture, it was like Luo Ke was the gang leader while Lin Sifei was her little sister.

“For this type of stuff, it’s not like it is what I want to be,” Lin Sifei frowned, mouth turned upside down. “Last time I said that we could try stuff out, but you rejected me, didn’t you.”

Luo Ke gazed at her, her emotions complicated. Last time, she did want to think it over before she promised anything, but then Lin Sifei turned back into a cat, so she didn’t see any point in it. And then, of course, Lin Sifei changed back pretty quickly again.

“I haven’t made my decision on this issue,” she replied as she took a deep breath, slightly frowning.

Lin Sifei couldn’t help but pout as she observed Luo ke’s expression. Why, she, Lin Sifei, had the visual, had the model like body, and she was surely going to get to the height she was in her past life. She was going to get a bunch of trophies and a bunch of fans and followers, probably enough for them to circle the globe if they lined up. From Luo Ke’s expression, Lin Sifei would’ve thought that dating her was a deficit business.

“What is there to worry about,” she huffed, “It’s not like I have to be married to you this second! I just want to try, you know! It’s also because I like your kissing technique!”

As soon as the words left her mouth, she immediately met Luo Ke’s surprised gaze. Luo Ke suppressed a laugh, amusement written plainly in her eyes, “So, it was for that, hmm.”

Lin Sifei’s ears immediately turned red hot, but she stubbornly continued, “What about it? I have good taste, right.”

Luo Ke finally laughed. When she got her laughter under control, she said, “Then, we can try, since you have good… kissing technique as well.”

She raised an eyebrow towards Lin Sifei, which Lin Sifei took as a tease and had her face grow all red again.

Lin Sifei fisted her clothes as she turned around, “You have no shame!

Before running out the door, she made a face, and left, slippers clacking on the floor.

Luo Ke laughed so hard that her shoulders shook, calling to her back shadow, “Didn’t you start this?”

“I can mention it! But you can’t!” Lin Sifei’s voice traveled back to her.

She seemed to be very embarrassed, which made Luo Ke laugh even harder. But as she was trying to rein her laughter in, her eyes trailed over to her family photo. With an awkward cough, she placed the photo faced down on her table.

Talking about this type of stuff in front of parents is quite awkward. Hopefully they didn’t hear it.
