After Luo Ke’s mouthy first aunt left, the old lady, sitting on the couch, smiled towards Luo Ke and reached out her hands, “Come, let me pet this cat.”

Lin Sifei’s fur exploded into spiky tufts again. If she fell into this old lady’s hands, she would not be alive by the end of it.

She raised her head and looked at Luo Ke with big, pitiful, watery eyes, “Meow~”

When she saw Luo Ke’s expression falter for a moment, Lin Sifei had a glimmer of hope ignite in her heart, but then the next second, she was lifted and placed on Mrs. Luo’s knees.

Lin Sifei looked at Luo Ke in disbelief. Seeing her soothing eyes, she wanted to cry, but alas, she didn’t.

When Mrs. Luo touched her back, Lin Sifei felt as if sandpaper was rubbing down on her body.

The old lady’s technique of petting was not gentle at all, as she almost pulled out a bunch of Lin Sifei’s fur. She turned Lin Sifei over and patted her head.

“This cat looks like a native cat raised in the countryside.”

Luo Ke stood next to grandma Luo, “I don’t know about cat breeds, but when my friend gifted it to me, she said it’s an American shorthair. However, I’m raising the cat because it’s enjoyable, and I don’t care about the breed.”

“You’re right, as long as you enjoy it.” She petted Lin Sifei twice more and returned her to Luo Ke, “We’ll eat when your second aunt arrives, you must be hungry.”

Luo Ke held the box up, “It’s a necklace from my first aunt.”

Luo Ke put the box away, walked to the table and took a seat. Lin Sifei kicked her leg against the floor and jumped onto her lap to sit.

This is Luo Ke’s first aunt and her husband, this is the second aunt and her…hmmm?
