[COLE'S POV]
The attack is scheduled for three days from today, according to Matt.
That's three days, to get Charlie to safety. Three days to prepare the pack. Three days to train.
We need to start ASAP.
I mind like the pack.
'Meeting room. Now. I have an important announcement.'
I walk into the room. It's quite intimidating, with oak paneling on all four walls, a huge fire place standing proudly to the right. A small stage, sits front and center, sporting a black podium. Rows of chairs line the room, almost like a theater.
People start filing as I stand at the podium, waiting for a certain someone.
I finally see her, one of the lasts to enter, walking with her brother and his mate. They appear to be getting along brilliantly. I smile as my mate laughs at something her brother says. She has the most amazing laugh. And smile. And eyes. And voice. And-
Damn, I'm whipped.
I look around, noticing that all the seats, except for four are filled.
Looks like we're all here. Normally five seats are left vacant, but Ellie takes up one of those.
"Thank you all for attending this meeting. I'm sure your all very curious as to why I have called you here today. As you all know, our Luna, Charlie, was recently taken and found." All eyes turn towards my mate, who was thoroughly ignoring everyone in the room. "The one who took her, Mike Halloway, is planning an attack on us in three days time. He was planning on taking us by surprise, so his numbers will be smaller than ours, but they have had longer to train. We must be prepared and get started right away. Today at 4 o'clock we will all meet back up here and divide so we can train accordingly. You are dismissed, thank you."
Everyone in the room disperses, except my mate, my beta, and his mate.
"Yes?" I ask warily. I really don't need to be yelled at or punished anymore.
"I'm not letting you hole me up in the safe house during this fight." Charlie bursts, looking at me expectantly.
"And you won't be," She smile victoriously. "you'll be staying with the Blue Moon pack." I turn quickly so I don't have to see her enraged expression.
"You can't do this! I want to see that bastard die just as much as you do!"
"There is no room for discussion. You will be attending training, but pack your bags, in two days you and Ellie will be leaving."
"What?" Ellie cries out.
Then she and Charlie speak at the same time, "Connor!" They look to him for help.
He looks like a deer in head lights. "I actually agree with Cole." he mumbles looking away from them.
"What?" They continue to talk in unison.
They both then abruptly turn and storm off.
