[COLE'S POV]
I had punched a hole in my offices wall. Again. I still hadn't fixed the ones from before, but I had gotten it newly furnished.
Now it was a mess again.
How can she do that?
Easy, she can't.
Now that she is marked, she'll feel even more strongly attracted to me. It won't be long, until it will start hurting to be away me.
She might even go into heat.
There isn't a definite rule of thumb, when it comes to females and heat. It's different for all females.
Some do, and some don't. It usually depends on how the pairs (the mates) wolves feel.
If the wolves feel that, they need to mate, then the female will go through heat. If the wolves want the relationship to work itself out, then the female won't go through heat.
Heat is when the female wolf, becomes needy. The only way to stop her from feeling so needy, is to fully mate. Every unmated wolf in the area, will feel the pull towards her.
If the need doesn't make the male go crazy, then the jealousy will.
I hope Charlie doesn't go through heat. I don't even want to think about all the male pack members that would be dead.
Many of my warriors are unmated, so quite a few of them would probably end up going after her.
I really need to get these thoughts of Charlie, out of my head. They're making me think of her too much.
I keep running through the afternoons events, thinking I missed something. I'm forgetting something.
Then it hits me. I stand up from the chair I had been sitting at, and run like the devil himself is on my tail.
I make it downstairs, just in time to catch Connor, and Charlie, walking out of the room.
"Wait!" I call, stopping them in their tracks.
"What?" Connor snaps. I flash him a look, warning him, that I would let my wolf out if he snaps at me like that again.
"Where did Matt go? I really need to talk to him." How could I have forgotten that he mentioned a fight?
"He's with his mate, and why do you need to talk to him so badly? Didn't you already?" Charlie asks, her tone cold.
"I did talk to him, but I got a little sidetracked, and forgot that he mentioned an attack." I quietly, but hurriedly tell them.
"Just go to Daniela's room, I'm sure they'll understand." Connor tells me coldly.
At the same time Charlie asks, "Attack? What attack? Does it have to do with Mike?"
The siblings turn to glare at each other.
"Yes." I tell her, then dash for the stairs. I follow Matt's scent, to Daniela's room.
The door is white and has pastel-colored, swirls on it.
I knock twice. Not even seconds later, the door swings open to reveal Daniela. She has a wide, bright smile on her face.
"Hello Alpha. How can I help you?" Daniela has always been one of the sweetest and more innocent pack members.
"Hello Daniela. May I speak with your mate? There are some things that we haven't finished discussing." I motion towards Matt, who is sitting on the edge of her bed, with a dazed look on his face.
"Is everything OK?" Daniela, slightly steps sideways, as if to block her mate from harm.
"I mean no harm to you or your mate." I say in a soothing voice. "There are just some things that I want to discuss, alone with him. I don't want to alarm you."
"Daniela," Matt comes up and hugs her from behind. "just let us talk for a few minutes. I promise that I'll be back." He kisses the side of her head and takes his place by my side.
"So what do you want to talk about, exactly?" He cocks an eyebrow at me.
"The attack."
