[COLE'S POV]
All thoughts of my,newly-marked mate, vanish as I lead Connor to the living room, where the  informant is supposed to be.For some reason, Connor remains tense, but I'm too eager to care.
I reach the living room, in record time, to find a young boy. Maybe fifteen or sixteen.
He's the informant?
"Alpha." He greets me with a bow.
"Hello. May I ask why your here?" I ask rather rudely.
"U-um. Well my name is Mathew, s-sir. My mate is in your pack. I was born a rogue. My father and my brother are both soldiers for Sir Michael. They said that if I want to remain a part of their family, that I need to too. Well I asked sir Michael to spare my mate and her brother, he said yes. But then I heard him talking, and he was lying to me. I just want to help." Mathew manages to stutter out.
"How can you help? And who is your mate?" I make sure to use my full alpha voice and watch as he flinches from the force of my tone.
"H-her name is Daniela. And there is going to be an attack. I know where, when, and what they plan on doing." He replies confidently.
Daniela. There's only one Daniela in this pack. Charlie's cousin.
Charlie.
In the heat of the moment, I had forgotten what I had done. My wolf, well I, had marked her. Against her wishes. She hadn't wanted to be marked.
I can't believe that I did a thing like that. And afterward, she just laid there. Letting me kiss her. My wolf was too much in a state of bliss, and pride to notice. But I did. The little human at the back of his head, watching everything happen, but not being able to do anything. Like watching TV or reading a book. But this isn't TV. And this isn't a book. This is real life.
"Sir?" Mathews voice brings me out of my little daze.
"Yes?" I ask weakly.
"You blanked out. I was worried I had done something." He informed me, sounding genuinely worried.
"It's not you, who's done something." I suddenly realize why Connor was so tense earlier. I turn to him wide eyed, shaking my head.
"Dude I'm so sor-." I begin.
"Sorry?" He starts in a deadly calm voice. "You're sorry? I just had an epiphany and realized why my baby sister was in your bed, crying. What is wrong with you?"
"She was crying?" Is all I can bring myself to ask.
Was it that bad?
"That's all you have to say for yourself? Really? She literally just told you, that she hadn't forgiven you, and now you go do a thing like that?" His hands are balled into fists and his eyes are blazing.
"I-." I cut myself off.
"Don't." He growls, before I feel a pain in my nose, as he punches me.
And more as he kicks my stomach. He continues to hit and kick me, and I don't fight back, knowing its exactly what I deserve.
But then, I hear a gasp.
