Chapter 17

“Are you kidnapping me?” I stole a glance to my left were Daniel was sitting next to me trying to regain his breath.

“Nope, just merely repaying the favour by saving you,” he smirked.

“Oh,” I replied, “but I wasn’t in any danger?” I said confused. The only danger that was around me was Daniel, even though I was a bit stiff I somehow felt comfortable around him.

Leaning forward I saw the side of Nate’s face, he seemed to look at me through the mirror but as soon as we met eye to eye he’d looked away ashamed.

“Hi Nate,” I spoke softly, I was sure Nate heard it because his ears perked up and he let out a sign. He looked stressed and still blamed himself about Amy but I would keep reassuring him until he got the point.

“Hey,” he nodded his head shortly before turning back to the road ahead. I couldn’t quite work out who was sitting in the passenger seat so I stayed quiet. I had left my jacket in the pub, plus when we got out I was pretty sure I heard some gunshots.

“Are you alright?” Daniel questioned, I nodded my head in reply and looked outside the window away from him gaze. I still couldn’t quiet meet eye to eye with Daniel, but I could tell that it hurt him and for that I wasn’t sure why.

“How was I in danger from?” I shot at him, his eyebrows shot up and his eyes widened. For a minute he was silence before he looked at me with sombre eyes, he moved closer to me only causing me to move further away from him.

His eyes hardened and Daniel grabbed my hand pulling me closer to him, I struggled next to him however I couldn’t deny the wonderful tingling sensation I got when my skin touched his. Heat radiating off him seeped through my cold arms and instantly warmed me up.

“Stop fighting,” he whispered in my ear, the car came to a sudden halt and the journey seemed awfully short.

He pulled away taking away the heat but held onto my hand, we both got out of the car. Nate and the passenger were already several steps ahead of us, gazing at him his presence felt familiar I snapped out of my thoughts when Daniel had caught me staring at him.

His eyes turned dark, and he sighed frustrated before snaking an arm round my waist pulling me closer to him. His fingers brushed against my cold skin once again making me shiver in pleasure, what was going on with me.

I tried to push him away but his solid grip prevented it so I ended up not trying and walking with him. Upon entrance to the house Daniel led me to the kitchen, I paused half way and memories of the times I was in the house came back.

The time I was hated for no reason whatsoever haunted me, shaking my head I tugged out of Daniels grasp and headed for the kitchen by myself leaving him standing stunned. Speeding away from him I bumped into someone, stumbling backwards he muttered a few curses causing me to turn red embarrassed.

“Hi Siddy,” my head whipped upwards, there was only one person who called me that in my life, my guardian angel: Brandon.

I squealed in delight and rushed forward to hug him, he seemed surprised by my reaction as did Nate but I was yet to see Daniel’s.

“Hey you!” I muttered in his ear, he chuckled at my greeting and it same one he did when he nearly ran me over. Daniel cleared his throat, and we pulled apart but I stayed close to Brandon I had missed him he was like a brother I never had.

“Look at you now,” he said laughing; I lightly punched him in the shoulder for mocking me when I was when he nearly ran me over.

“That was not my fault,” I responded, he snorted at my answer and gulped at his drink. Nate came round and lifted his brow in question asking,

“You guys know each other?”  I nodded my head, while Brandon shook him. I sent a glare at him, causing him to choke on his drink.

“Yeah I nearly ran her over,” he laughed nervously, I let out a small laugh but felt uncomfortable as Daniel stared at me intently.

He walked towards me and grabbed my arm, dragging me to some room he was probably going to tie me up to a chair like he did the last time. I squirmed under his grip as I thought about the memory.

He kicked open the door and slammed it back again giving everyone the message that he was busy, turning the lock he took out the key and place it in his back pocket.

Shit, no way out now.

He walked slowly towards his chair and motioned me to follow. I stood in front of him, as he sat but seconds later he pulled me and sat me on his laps. Turning me sideways my breath caught in my throat, he was even more beautiful up close he caught me staring and I looked away blushing.

“Don’t look away,” he took my chin and turned me to face him, “I’m your husband,” I flinched when he said that. He saw that and tightened his grip on me; looking away again I couldn’t meet his eyes.

He said that he was my husband.

He was the same person who denied having any sort of relationship with me. His hands lay on my thighs; I felt a little burning from where his hands were and shifted uncomfortable causing him to groan.

“Stop moving and I will tell you who you were in danger from,” he shot out; I instantly froze still hoping he’d start telling me who I was in danger from. I was praying, that the one person I didn’t want had not come back otherwise I was surely a goner.

“You know I run a gang right?” he asked, I slowly shook my head and tried to guess his emotions but it was difficult his face remained still but his voice said otherwise.

“Well, I didn’t always use to be like this my mother and sister were murdered so I built up my own gang,” I gasped, his voice was quivering and I was still shocked.

“I’m sorry,” I whispered to him causing me to move closer to him. I layed my head against his chest and he wrapped his hands around me, I somehow wanted to comfort him but didn’t say anything else.

“When I was with Amy I asked my neighbouring gang member for help with something,” I could tell that he didn’t want to dwell on it so I purposely chose to ignore it, “but now I owe him the favour.”

I tried figuring out what he’d want, and what it had got to do with me until it dawned on me that he wanted me. Daniel’s voice confirmed that,

“When you went on that stage he, along with most others were eye-raping you,” I could hear the anger in his voice as well as how his whole body stiffened, “I saw what he wanted in his eyes, he wanted you so I excused myself grabbed you and now we are here,” he paused not sure what to say.

Why had he wanted me? Who was this certain person?

“I’m just so glad that I got you out of there before...,” his voice trailed off, Daniel for the first time looked worried. Our heads were touching, it felt right to be in his arms but I still had some uncertainties that popped up into my head.

Far enough we were husband and wife, but that didn’t give him the right to forget about everything in the past but this moment I wanted to forget everything and do what just felt right for this one time.

He leaned in grabbing my hand and said, “Sidney I know I’ve been a really bad guy to you,” he sucked in air deeply before saying, “but these past days I haven’t stopped thinking about you,” he lifted his thumb and trace my dry, cracked lips.

I knew what was going to come next; I welcomed it with open arms. Daniel pulled me towards him and our lips connected, sparks flew everywhere and I had become limp in his arms. I kissed him back causing him to let out a moan, within seconds he deepened the kiss and started kissing me passionately. I pulled back to breathe, this was my first kiss and I gave it to my husband.

“That was incredible,” I whispered back to him, his eyes shone and his whole aurora seemed to change. I could tell that he was shocked by what I had said but it was the truth, that was my first kiss and it was absolutely just like I had imagined it, with much more.

“So anything you want to ask me about feel free to?” his question instantly made me blurt out,

“What was the guy’s name who wanted me?” I asked petrified to hear that one name.

Daniel frowned, nevertheless he kept his word and told me his name, “The old man was Jacob Levy, why?”

As soon as he had said that name my whole word stopped. This couldn’t be happening, just when I thought I could finally have a little happiness in my life he comes back to haunt me.

“No,” I broke away from danger, pushing away from him my back collided with the wall. I sank down, with empty tears falling from my eyes.

My father was back.

Back to kill me.
