Ah yes, the morning after. The walk of shame, the time where someone leaves first after doing the devil's tango

Shut up, let's check in with the two girls after Ember beat the shit out of Gabrielle's back lastnight
There was an awakening magic each day in the early morning, a sense of an old earth-spirit rekindled that seeked to knit together all that was good
In the early morning the hues of the world bloom anew is if each were a tiny flower reborn
Everyday gave forgiveness for yesterdays problems. It was a sign of a new, a blank page to write a new chapter
But could the past be forgiven every single time?
Ember stirred awake from the beaming sunlight through glass windows. For some reason it felt different than what she was accusomted to, but familiar all at the same time
The girl slowly opened her eyes to be met with the glaring sun through the parted curtains
"Fuck sakes" The brunette groaned to herself and tossed the covers over her shoulder
But the realization of lastnight's events soon came flooding in
Ember's eyes widened in panic when she felt weight on her chest. Her head turned slightly to the right to see messy blonde hair covering Gabrielle's face while the covers draped from her back and flowed down
"Shit" She hissed
Emotions made us strong, it also made us do stupid fucking shit that we might regret later down the road
But did Ember regret lastnight? Honestly, no. Not one bit
Only thing left for her to do now was sneak out of her own room without waking the blonde girl
Ember glanced down her body to see that Gabrielle's arm was slung over her chest while her legs intertwined with her own, on a normal day she'd consider this highly adorable to cuddle with her crush but this was different
Gabrielle's hands were tightly tucked under Ember's back, making it impossible for the girl to move off the bed without waking her
The brunette sighed and pressed her head against the bedrest, she really wanted to escape the morning without having a lecture or their talk to be the first thing that greets her in the morning
A cup of hot chocolate would be better
"Shit" She whispered, starting the feel the girl stirring below her
Ember stayed as frozen as possible, making sure her breathing wouldn't be loud enough to break the girl from her sleep
Although she really wanted to escape, the sight of seeing the girl she cared so much for in her arms was something else
She loved the warm feeling spreading through her body, the tiny tingles on her skin when Gabrielle's breath brushed against her arm
The blonde stopped stirring and settled even more comfortable on the girl's chest, snuggling her head under Ember's neck
The brunette couldn't hide her smile, the singer was just as beautiful when she slept as well as her normal day. No makeup was needed, just her natural beauty to the world
Ember glanced at the way the blonde's plump pink lips were parted, soft breaths left them making it known that she was sound asleep. Ember's fingers brushed over the few blonde strands that covered her girl's face and pushed it behind her ear
Her brows were slightly furrowed and a small scrunch of her nose soon followed, only indicating that she was dreaming about something confusing or she wanted to strangle the living hell out of someone
Strangle me daddy-
"Nuu don't go" Gabrielle barely whispered in her sleep, making the brunette chuckle lightly
Since the first day they met, Ember had always pictured this scene. Waking up in the morning with the blonde wrapped around her body, her beautiful face being the first thing she met in the morning rather than an empty bed
It was perfect, there was nothing that could ever ruin a moment like that in her mind
Except the booming alarm tone of her morning classes that she would soon be late for
"Shit shit shit shit shit" the brunette hissed, quickly unwrapping herself from the stirring girl that was on her
She hated the fact that the alarm was going off for one reason and one reason only, the fact that it would wake the sleeping princess that was in her arms. Frankly, she wished she had more time to take in the moment before it all went to trouble
"Ahhhhh" Ember screamed when her back collided with the flat ground
By now Gabrielle was wide awake at the sound of total chaos in the room
The loud alarm was still going off but so was Ember from the sharp pain in her back. Gabrielle quickly reached over the night stand to turn off the girl's alarm
"Are you okay!?" the blonde panicked
Hearing Gabrielle's voice was the antidote to her pain, for some reason the hurt had stopped but the panic kicked in. The panic of having to face the girl now
To make it even worse, they were both completely naked. Well, atleast Gabrielle had the sheets, all Ember had was the lint from the carpet to match the drapes
Her panic grew even more when she saw two light green eyes peering down at her from above
"oh-" Gabrielle gasped quickly before pulling her head back from the floor
"Oh god" Ember groaned, moving as fast as she could to pick herself up from the ground
The girl stood up from the foot of the bed and covered her parts with her two hands
The blonde rested her back against the headrest with a thin white sheet covering over her face
"I-....um" Ember muttered
"Do you want your clothes?" Gabrielle chuckled
"Y-yeah" The brunette awkwardly muttered
"You can get it" the laughed
Ember sunk her teeth into her bottom lip before glancing over to the floor where all of their clothes were tossed into a messy pile
"Don't look" she stated
"Okay boss" the blonde giggled
"I'm serioussss" Ember groaned
"Hi serious, I'm Gabby-"
"GABRIELLE" Ember hissed
"SORRY. sorry, I won't look" She chuckled
The brunette gave another huff before turning around to face the clothes in the morning. It's not like she had a problem with Gabrielle seeing her named, she just.... Wasn't on speaking terms with the girl as yet
Would you want someone to see you naked if you were on bad terms?
The girl dipped her back and bent over making her little butthole visible-
"Cute butt you got there" Gabrielle giggled
To say Ember was red was an understatement, the brunette looked as if she was born to be a strawberry. It had been a long time since she's blushed but oh boy did she want to scream. Her face was flustered from embarrassment while Gabrielle simply smirked
Oh how the turntables-
"You know what" Ember whispered before collection all of her clothes in her arms
"Fuck it" she said
The brunette didn't hide her body anymore, her hands fidgeted with her clothing as she started to slide them on one by one knowing a pair of eyes were still on her body
"Oh come on, I'm sorry" Gabrielle giggled
"Nope. I trusted you and you broke that trust" she glared
"Fineeee, I won't look at you, I promise" She laughed
"Too late, I'm already a subject to be examined" she glared once again
"You're adorable, I can't handle it" The blonde smiled
Ember couldn't explain it, but in that moment everything felt so bittersweet. A mix of her emotions where she smiled but inside felt heavy. She had no idea how to react to the girl calling her adorable, especially when she wanted to both kiss the girl and choke the living hell out of her
Kinky but deadly at the same time
"Thanks" she muttered
Gabrielle furrowed her brows, sensing the change in her tone immediately
"Are you okay?" She questioned
How does one go around answering that, yes I'm okay now leave me the fuck alone? Or, no but that's all your fault you piece of shit?
Either way, Ember didn't know the correct answer to that question
"I'm fine"
