Episode 5

San and Second are sitting at the eatery after classes, San is miserable he's lost his keychain and the special for that particular keychain was over. His friend asks when he last saw it and somehow San suspects he may have lost in the room that day he'd seen Tae. When he tells his friend, he's wonders if there is a way to get it back. Second shrugs, the situation is a mystery.

At that moment, San's mother calls to say she is at their usual place and asks for San to meet her. San and Second depart and San makes to the fancy restaurant to meet his mother. They greet each other warmly and San sits opposite her and she orders drinks for them. They discuss grandfathers will and San explains he doesn't wasn't the business. His mother explain there's nothing they can do to change his mind, as they have all tried. San questions if he's sane of mind and his mother believes he is. His mother then goes on to explain, if anything happened to grandfather, she and aunt do what it takes to ensure he's not burdened with the business. At the end of their meeting, his mother passes him sweets made from the main house. San takes them and enquires why he's always getting passed sweets from the main house. Mother informs him the kitchen staff have been making them for grandfather but as grandfather can't eat them and San is the only other person who likes them, they are being passed onto him as to not unset the kitchen staff, who believe grandfather is receiving them.

San scoffs but says nothing and mother give a laugh.

San returns to his building and curiously enters the room. When he realises it's his room he lets out a loud sign of relief and sitting on the end of the bed, finally gets to eat one of the sweet. Taking a bite, he saviours the sweetness. It had been a long time since he last enjoyed the sweets and they were rarely made unless grandfather specially requested them.

Tae once more finds himself reluctant to enter his room and pulling out his phone calls up First's name before scolding himself for being scared. Prepping himself up, Tae unlocks the door and is immediately confronted by the sound of someone throwing up in the bathroom. Dropping his bag on the floor, Tae steps into the bathroom to find San bent over the toilet, as he throws up. Without hesitation, Tae immediately approached San and wrapping his arm around his shoulder tries to comfort him, while asking if there's any medicine in the room. San nods before throwing up again. Tae leave the bathroom and looking around the room, goes to the same place he keeps his medicine. Finding the container exactly where he keeps it, Tae immediately retrieve some pills and returning to the bathroom, takes the glass from the bathroom sink and fills it with water. Kneeling beside San, Tae encourages him to take the medicine. It take some effort to get San to listen and when he finally takes the pills, Tae places the glass back on the sink before attempting to get San up. Tae struggles with San's large frame but manages to get him to his bed. Tucking him under the cover, Tae sits at the head of the bed, while San's head rest again Tae's thigh.

San's covered in sweat and Tae goes to get up before San clutched at Tae's pants, stopping him from leaving. Tae quickly explains he's going to get a towel and small tub of water to bath him and only then does San let him go. Tae returns to the bed and gentle begins to bath San. San's eyes remain close, his breathing heavy and Tae ignores the strangeness of their situation as he continues to bath San. When done, Tae returns the towel and tub to the bathroom and comes back to the bed. Kneeling beside the bed, Tae looks at San, his face showing the pain he was in. Tae gently reaches out and began to massage San's head.

"Stay." San murmured barely without opening his eyes.

Tae glances around the room before returning his eyes to San. Slowly he rose and lay himself down beside San above the covers. San slightly turned towards Tae, his head this time resting again Tae's shoulder. Tae, slightly uncomfortable, freezes momentarily, before moving his arm up and under San's head and pulls his closer to rest his head on his chest. San doesn't resist as he falls into a deep sleep. Tae gently rubs San's back as his eyes grow heavy and he too falls asleep.

San breathes in deeply, then scrunches his nose at the peculiar smell beneath him. Slowly opening his eyes, he realises he's not alone. Lifting his head slightly, he glances at the position he's in and then looks up to see Tae sleeping beside him. He's expression become confused before he remembers the night before. As he goes to move away, Tae wakes and asks if San is feeling better. Without making a big deal of their situation, Tae removes his arm from around San's shoulder and gets up. Stretching, Tae turns to look down at San staring up at him.

The silence begins to make things awkward and Tae, seeing San was better gave an awkward nod before turning to leave. San calls out Tae's name, asking him to wait. Tae turns back surprise San knows his name and asks how he knows. San sits up in the bed and indicates for Tae to sit. Tae reluctantly sits at the foot of the bed and stares at San.

"We agree, we're both not ghosts." San suggests and Tae gives a nod.

"I'm thinking, maybe a portal between times?" San said it unbelievingly, yet Tae gave another nod.

San also nods and doesn't know what else to say.

Silence falls making it even more awkward before Tae asked if San is feeling better. San nods and tells Tae he is and then thanks Tae for staying with him during the night.

"Then, I should get going." Tae says.

"How do you think this works?" San asks.

Tae shrugs and looking around says, "If I walk back through the door I should be back in my time."

San nods and Tae rises and heads towards the door. As he retrieves his bag he recalls the keychain and removing it from his bag, says, "This is yours?"

San nods.

"I found it on my bedroom floor." Tae says hoping for an explanation but San simply nods again.

"Then, I'll be going." Tae places the keychain on desk and turning, leaves the room.

In the corridor, Tae stands for a moment before turning back to the door and unlocking it reenters the room. It's quiet and empty and Tae sits on the bed looking around and wondering why the strangest of the situation was happening to him.

The moment Tae closed the door behind him San immediately got up and opening the door stepped outside into the corridor. It was empty. Tae had only left and there was no way he could have vanished that quickly, unless he had vanished. San rubbed his head and returning to his room, sent a message to Second to come see him before falling back into bed.

On Second's arrival, San gets up to let him in before once more crawling back into bed. San explained his illness the night before and Tae turning up to help him and staying the night. Second listens in disbelief but knows San wouldn't make something like that up. They discuss the idea of a portal and immediately agree to investigate further but both know if Tae was from the future it will be difficult to find him. What Second doesn't understand is why Tae and San were appearing in each others room. They agreed they would also investigate the room to see if anything had happened to the previous occupants.

Tae sits in class staring into space, unfocused by what the professor is saying. After class is finished First notices he's been off all day and questions him. Tae decides to tell First what happen the night before and the possibility of a portal between times. His friend is still reluctant to believe and questions Tae about who this person might be. Tae doesn't know the persons name or anything about him. His friend agrees to research the previous occupant of the room for Tae.

Later that day, First finds Tae after classes to tell him there was an incident in the building the year before where one of the students died but he couldn't find out which room that student had. Nor the student name. Tae doesn't want to consider the odds of San begin that student and asks First to dig deeper and find out more. First agrees but thinks it would be easier if he knows the persons name. Tae agrees and decides to ask the next time they meet.

For the first time in weeks, Tae isn't fearful about entering his room but for the next week, every time he enters it was always his room. There had been no other news about the student who died and Tae doesn't know if he should put it behind him.

The same for San, he'd been expecting to see Tae all week but had not had the opportunity. The thank you note he left on the desk remained where it was indicating Tae had not entered his room again. As much as San wanted to see Tae again, more pressing matters had surfaced with his family and a meeting had been called to discuss grandfathers will. San had been reluctant to get involved but had no choice but to attend the dinner at the main house.

The dinner provided no outcome. Things still remained as they were and with grandfather still in hospital, he wasn't there to understand the problems he had caused.

San leaves the room. Followed by his two older cousins. They discuss the unfortunate business and whether their grandfather knew the trouble he was causing. San tells them he would speak to grandfather personally and have him change the will. But the girls don't think it will work. San ensures them he has no interest in the business and will do whatever is necessary to ensure they are recognised for their hard work.

On his return to his room later that night, San enters his room, as Tae looks up from his books on the desk to San.

Episode 6

San hadn't expected to be so relieved to see Tae but he was. He closes the door behind him and coming towards Tae, asked if he would hug him.

Taken back, Tae glances at San up and down, who hold his arms out. San's expression shows exhaustion and Tae suspects he'd had a hard day. Reluctantly, he rises and awkwardly places his arms around San. San in turn hugs Tae tightly.

"Are you okay?" Tae awkwardly asks.

"Mmm." San relies. "But it's been a difficult day."

Tae doesn't know what more to say, so remains quiet. When San pulls back, Tae also steps back.

"So...." Tae says not knowing where to look. "Do you want to talk about it?"

San only then realises how odd his behaviour must seem but to not make it any more awkward he walks over to the bed to sit at the end. Tae comes over and sits beside him.

San tells Tae about his grandfather and his illness and Tae gently pats San's leg offering comfort. San explains there is some drama because of his grandfather and he doesn't want to be involve but he's being dragged into it. Tae doesn't know what to say before he says, "I don't know your name?"

Only then does San smile and he tell Tae his name. Tae acknowledges this with a nod, then silence fells before Tae suggests San shower and maybe he might feel better. San agrees and heads to the bathroom. After the door closes, Tae waits to hear the water running but there's nothing. After a minute, he gets up and knocks on the door but there's no reply. Opening the door, Tae finds the bathroom empty and realises its not only the door to the room but also the bathroom door that can seperate them.

San comes out of the bathroom feeling refreshed, only to discover he's back in his own room.

Tae meets with First the next day and tells him about the new encounter and the name of the person sharing his room. First agrees to ask around and they part.

Friend goes to the administration building and tries to get information about the student in the dorm room the previous year. When the staff refuse to help due to privacy issues First, then asks about the student who's name Tae gave him. Again, the staff are unable to help him. First leaves in frustration but as he's leaving he is approached by a senior student who ask why he's looking for San. Reluctant to say, First says he heard a story about a student dying in the dorm rooms and wanted to know if it was true and what room he was in. The senior stares but doesn't say anything before leaving. This senior is Second. First find his behaviour odd and before he follow the senior has vanishes. First murmurs about people vanishing becoming a problem.

Once Second is away from the building and alone he makes a telephone call, informing the listener of the new development. Second asks if he should tell them but the speaker tells Second to keep what he knows to himself.

First meets with Tae again in the afternoon and says he wasn't able to get any information about San. But goes on to tell tae about the senior and Tae asks what he looks like. First couldn't explain but he know what department he was from by what he was wearing and would know if he saw him again. They both head towards the department and sit outside the main building. Not sure if the senior was still on campus, the two waited until First saw the senior leaving the building. Pointing him out, Tae tells First that person is not San. They decide to leave but not before the senior notices them leaving. He follows behind and when the two stop to part way, the senior snaps a photo of the two. He then sends the photo asking if either of those people was the one. The message coming back say the one of the left is the person. The senior looks up from the message and towards Tae walking away.

Over the next few day, First would make several attempts to discover the identify of the senior and after some digging he was able to inform Tae who he was. Tae wasn't as interested as First was, but he listed and his friend gave an in-depth insight into the senior, who's name was Second. First was convinced Second knew more than he was letting on but every time First tried to approach him he also found a way to get away from him, making him extremely suspicious in First's eyes.

Tae doesn't concern himself with First's complaints, as it had been several days since he'd seen San and he wonders if he is doing okay.

Second watches First running out the entrance knowing he's looking for him. It had proven challenging to hide from First but Second knows he has to keep his distance from both First and Tae. Taking out his phone he sends a message complaining about the situation. The response back simply read; try harder. Second scoffed. The situation was confusing enough without having First and Tae snooping around.

Episode 7

San visits the hospital to see his grandfather. As he enters the room, he discovers his grandfather about to eat the home made sweets and immediately scolds his grandfather and takes it away from him. Grandfather is cross with San but San doesn't pay attention, removing the sweets from his grandfathers reach. San enquires who left them and grandfather refuses to say.

San them sits beside his grandfather not sure how to start the conversation he wants to have but grandfather speaks first as he knows why San is there.

Grandfather explains his decision to make San the sole beneficiary in his will wasn't a rash decision. He explains to split the business between his daughters would cause problems and knowing San wasn't interested meant he would be less inclined to break the business apart. San doesn't agree with his grandfather but grandfather refuses to listen. San knows how hard his mother and aunt work for the business and doesn't understand why grandfather thinks there will be issues between them.

Upon leaving the hospital room, San meets his father in the corridor. His father is surprised to see San there and San tells him he came to see grandfather to change his mind. His father tells San not to worry and if grandfather was to die, they would find a way to make it work. San knows this is not true. His father notices the bag of sweets in San's hand and San tells him someone left them for grandfather but he's not to have any. His father is surprised and suggests San take them before anyone finds out and grandfather gets scolded. San agrees and leaves his father. As he's leaving the hospital he sees an elderly couple fumbling for coins for the vending machine and glancing at the sweets in his hand approaches them and offers them the sweets. They gratefully take them and thank San for his kindness.

With the number of sweet being made over the past few weeks San was sure there would more coming his way.

San returns to his room and finding it empty, sits at the end of the bed and them flops down. At that moment his phone rings and it's his aunt. She heard he'd seen grandfather and asks how he got on. San explains he wasn't able to make him change his mind and goes on to tell her that grandfather didn't want division between his daughters and San asks if there was ever anything like that between his aunt and mother. His aunt is also confused as she and her sister have always had a good relationship. They fought a lot when they were in their teens but that only brought them closer together. San then questions if grandfathers mind is recalling the past and perhaps he's not right of mind. His aunt cannot say but will speak with her sister about it.

After he hangs up he calls his mother, explaining the conversation with his aunt and his meeting with grandfather. His mother is also confused about the situation and promises San they will look into it.

San rubs his eyes and them his phone rings again. With a moan he looks at the caller and see his Second's name. He answers the call and his friend ask how he got on with his grandfather. San explain nothing has changed and then the sound of the key in the door and the door opening startles San and he tell's his friend, 'He's here."

"Tae. I'm coming over."

Before San can say anything Second hangs up and San sits up to see Tae coming towards him.

"Hello." Tae says and San notices immediately the expression on Tae's face is not a happy one. San pats the bed beside him and says, "Do you want to talk about it."

Tae nods. Drops his bag beside the desk and come to sit beside San.

"A hard day?" San asks.

Tae nods. "Had an exam today."

It's only now that it occurs to San that he doesn't know where is the future Tae comes from and asks for the exact date.

Tae tells him and San informs Tae that is only, in fact, 6 months ahead of him. More surprising is when Tae tells San that he'd asked around and there's no one by his name at the university. This also surprised San. There would be no reason for him not to attend University the following year. He'd already done his course selections for the following year and with his exams already complete, he was confident he'd passed.

"That makes no sense?" San says.

"Actually, I wanted to ask if everything okay with you?" The expression on Tae's face showed concern and San wanted to ask when there was a knock on the door. Both jumped, startled, and San rose to answer the door. When he opened it his best friend stood there and said, "Is he still here?" San nodded but as his friend entered the room, it was empty.

San and his friend looked at each other and San said, "He must has been sent back when I opened the door."

Second let out a deep sigh and apologies. San says it was okay but can't help but think about the expression Tae had when he ask him if he was okay. Second questions San's expression and San finds it difficult to explain their conversation, instead tells his friend the date Tae was currently living in.

"That's only six month ahead of us. So that means he'll be starting University in two month time. That's perfect. You can get to meet him for real."

San looks at his friend and shakes his head. "Tae has already tried looking for me and I'm not here."

"What does that mean?"

San shrugs. "You arrived before I could find out."

Episode 8

Tae knew the moment the door opened and he never heard it shut that San had returned to his time. He'd been surprised to find him in his room on his return but relieved at the same time. They'd been unable to find out anything about him in their time and the news of the student dying the previous year plague Tae's mind.

The following day Tae and his friends walked out of their last exam happy for them to be all over. They agree to go out that night to celebrate. Tae and First stop at a vending machine and purchase drinks and as they discuss the recent discussion between Tae and San.

"Could he really be the one they say died end of last year" First asks. "Maybe the reason this is happening is because you can save him. That would make sense right?"

"But if that were true, doesn't it mean the reason he's not here is because I didn't save him." Tae suggests.

"Oh. That could be true."

At that moment, Second approaches them, asking why they are looking for San.

Both are startled.

Tae asks if Second knows San and Second claims to know of him. Tae takes his arms and desperately asks if San is alive. That he isn't the student who died the previous year.

Second pauses before replying San is, in fact, the student behind that rumour. Tae removes his hands from the senior and looks down in sadness. First glares at Second, then turning to Tae says, "There's still hope you can save him."

"But..." Tae starts and First says, "No buts."

Second watches the exchange and the adds, "Its said he was poisoned."

Tae's head shoots up and stares at Second. "Poisoned? Why? How?"

Second shrugs and says, "That's all I know. No one knows what happened."

Second turns and leaves and Tae and First watch him leave.

"Hey!" First calls out to Second. "Where are you going. We have questions that need answering. Where are you going." But Second is gone and First is furious.

"What do I do?" Tae saks.

"We need more information from San because that guy just now is useless." First growls.

"I can ask next time I see him."

"Ask if he has any enemies, maybe that might help us to stop what might happen."

First looks around for Second and growls in frustration. "How come he appears and disappears when it suits him. Does he know how frustration he is."

Tae looks in the same direction as First a growing fear engulfing his body.

Second watches both men leave and he then messages San telling him the exchange. The response is similar to previously, keep his distance and observed only.

That night Tae and his friends meet and Tae gets drunk. On his return to his room he discovers San asleep in bed and already at the bed decides he's going to sleep there rather than going out and back in again. San is woken by Tae getting into his bed and immediately realises he's drunk. Rather than saying anything, San helps Tae under the covers and Tae cuddles up against San surprising San. San then settles back down, his arm wrapping around Tae's shoulders.

Tae murmurs how warm San is and San gives a sheepish smile, before saying, "You're going to regret this when you wake up."

Tae shakes his head, disagreeing. "I'd only regret it if we were to kiss."

San is taken back by what Tae says and leaning close says to Tae, "But I wouldn't"

Tae's eyes slowly open and then he pulls himself up to stare at San. "Do you have any enemies?" He asked.

San is taken back by this question and shakes his head.

Tae stares into San's eyes and then at his lips. A smile grows on San's face as he quietly says, "You'll definitely regret it... if we don't kiss."

Tae's eyes rise to look at San's again before San leans in and gently kisses Tae's lips. San pulls back to look at Tae before Tae leans in to kiss San, their kiss slowly growing deeper. As Tae pulls away, San pats the top of his head and says, "Go to sleep now."

Tae lowers his head back on San's chest and closes his eyes. San stares up at the roof, the smile his wide until he recalls Tae's question about any enemies he might have and his smile fades.

When Tae woke, his head hurt and rolling over searches for his phone under his pillow. Remembering he'd never taken it out of his bag he sat and looked around his room. His room and not San's room and then the memory of the evening before rush back to him. Mortified at the memory, Tae buries his face in his hands and screams into them. Looking around the bedroom, he is grateful he is alone. San was right, he'd definitely regretted his actions. But San had kissed him back, willingly. Knowing there would be some time before they met again before he had to deal with the situation, Tae got up and made to the bathroom.

San woke early to find Tae still cradled against his body. The determination needed to not wake Tae was almost uncontrollable. Yet, San carefully pulled himself out of Tae's embrace and got up. At the end of the bed, San stared at Tae and he rolled over and settled back down. He knew if he were there when Tae woke it might be awkward for him, so reluctantly San grabbed his towel and went to the bathroom. When he came out, his bed was empty. He knew it was for the best but that didn't stop him from regretting his decision.

Picking up his phone he message Second to meet as he had something to talk to him about Tae. They agreed to meet up later that day. As he sat at his desk, he opened his study book before his phone rang and it was Pear.

She called to say their grandfather and taken a turn for the worse over night and that the family was on there was to the hospital. She would be there shortly to pick him up.

In the car ride over, San asks what had happened.

"But I thought he was getting better?" San asks.

"We all did. No one knows what's happened."

At the hospital. All the family is there. San's parents. His uncle and aunt and other cousin. The doctor is there and tells the family grandfather's health has improved but they are unsure what cause the issue until further tests are done. The family returns to grandfathers side, who is sleeping peacefully.

The sisters comfort each other as they stand beside their father.

Pear indicates for Berry and San to follow her out the room.

All three walk to the open outside area for privacy.

Pear explain how their grandfather condition is constantly changing and nothing specific can be found when tests are done. Their grandfather has been and should be in good health and yet he keeps having episodes.

It's then that San recalls Tae asking him if he has any enemies and addressing both his cousins asks, "No one knows why grandfather changed his will?"

Both shake their heads and Pear asked, "What are you thinking San?"

San shakes his head. "I don't know. None of this makes sense. What benefit is it for me to inherit the business. We all know how strange this has been from the start but what if there's something more going on."

"Like what?" Berry asks.

San again shakes his head and shrugs. "All we know is right now if grandfather dies, I'll inherit everything. And if I don't want it, what happens then."

"That's a good question." The older cousin relies. "Maybe we need to start looking into this ourselves."
