The Golden Dragon's Hoard461 words~3 min read

"We are all alone, born alone, die alone, and-in spite of True Romance magazines-we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely-at least, not all the time-but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness."

Hello my lovely readers! I adding this in because I want every single one of you to be as safe as possible and while this book is going to be mostly fluff and have feel good writing, there are going to mentions or depictions of bad things that have happened. The main character, Stray, is actively healing from trauma, he's going to have to relive some of it or think about it to truly process and move on from it.

That being said, here are the things that you have to look out for while reading the Golden Dragon's Hoard:

Past child abuse, past child neglect, depictions of torture, depicts of past violence, violence, assault, vulgar language, accidental self harm, past emotional manipulation, mentions of racism to a fictional species, mentions and depictions of eating disorders, blood and-or injuries, mentions of death, and general struggles with mental health and self-image.

Stray also struggles with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and has an unhealthy relationship with food.

I know, that all looks really bad, doesn't it? I promise it's not too heavy even if it is something that I, as the author, make my characters have to work through and cope with. Thankfully, I know a thing or two about trauma and how to deal with it's repercussions in a healthy way.

Before all of my chapters, I will have a warning that will let you guys know what will be depicted/represented in that section of writing. Most of it will not be graphic or described in great detail-because while I want my writing to be realistic, I do not want it to be triggering so badly that my readers cannot enjoy my books.

If I happen to miss a trigger warning or it needs to be emphasized more (for example, if I miss the severity of something presented in one of Stray's memories or reactions), please let me know! I beg of you, though, do so in a kind way.

I am only human, after all, and I'm bound to make some mistakes.

That being said, please like my book! I hope The Golden Dragon's Hoard brings you joy. I love you all and I hope you readers of mine have a great day!

-Steslara.
