"Wait, where are you going?" Klaus asked in a hurry.

Violet ignored the stares from the others and Luther hissing her name and bypassed them all.

She ran up the steps of the lavish theatre and disappeared down the hall before any of them could stop her, heart racing, eyes scanning the different doors until she found what she was looking for.

She could not stand listening to them all plotting against Vanya on the way there and made her choice.

Gently lulling classical music hit her ears as she pushed the large entrance door open, stepping into the darkness of the theatre. Hundreds of rows of seats were filled with people right in front of her and she froze uncertainly, scanning the sight of everyone.

Her hands began to shake as she clutched them tightly, staring out at the sight of Vanya standing at the centre of the stage amongst the orchestra playing beautifully.

Though her mind stuttered and halted, she felt a sudden burst of energy and forced her legs to carry her through the aisle and past the dozens and dozens of people with their eyes facing forwards.

She could feel flickering eyes catching sight of her and itched to disappear. She forced herself to inhale deeply, skin growing incredibly warm as she approached the front of the stage. She noticed some empty seats at the front row and tried not to collapse at how dizzy she was getting from what she was doing.

The powerful music lulled her into a sense of ease as she tried to control her anxiety, watching nothing but her sister as she began to play.

As the seconds went by the sound began to calm her as she watched her sister live her dream, playing her violin on stage and drawing the awe of those watching.

Her heart warmed, her gaze softening drastically. She became so caught up in the music that she didn't even realise she had stopped in the middle of the aisle, hesitating beside the empty seats, unable to pull her eyes away.

White irises flickered to meet her own.

Her lips twitched upwards automatically, her shoulders loosening a tad.

Vanya's expression mirrored her own as she continued with the melody.

She was still shaking, and judging by the slight sad twinge of her upturned lips, Vanya had noticed.

If only they could have stayed in that moment a while longer.

But it was all quickly shattered when her siblings tried attacking the woman on stage. The second they jumped towards her, Vanya swiftly swung her bow.

Violet shielded her eyes as they were thrown away by white light.

The delicate music turned to sharp screaming and panic, the floor rumbling as thundering footsteps raced to escape from the chaos.

The music that filled the hall became increasingly louder and Violet flinched back, covering her ears, dread pooling in her stomach. The melody turned haunting.

Her siblings crouched down suddenly as bullets tore through the place, and Violet was still stuck standing in the middle of the rows of chairs while her siblings ducked and hid, shouting amongst themselves.

She stared up at Vanya with wide eyes, still covering her ears, trying to convince herself to do something, to move, to say anything.

Various voices called out her name as the gunfire grew closer.

She couldn't tear her eyes away from the control her sister had on the stage until another, more striking voice filled the mix.

"Violet!"

She span, hands lowering as her appearance flickered and bullets hit the front of the stage behind her.

Five appeared in a crouch beside her in a flash of blue. She locked eyes with his panicked gaze and fell to a crouch beside him.

He opened his mouth to say something but Klaus yelling caught their attention.

He stood between the rows of chairs, fists beginning to glow a haunting blue as a figure appeared beside him, similar to herself when she was in her cloaked form.

When she recognised the figure, emotion welled at her throat.

All she could do was watch as the ghost of Ben fought off the gunmen, launching bodies at walls and across the theatre, cutting down the roaring gunfire one by one.

The rest of her siblings seemed equally in shock at the sight before he faded away and Klaus practically collapsed.

Without giving her a warning Five grasped her sleeve and blinked them closer.

Violet stared at him wide eyed as he forced them to duck down beside the others as they quickly began discussing a plan.

Still the girl had to cover her ears from the noise and chaos.

She wanted to scream, everything was so horrifically overwhelming that it was splitting her head in two. She felt sick and closed her eyes, not realising the others had decided on a plan.

Before she could even protest, the others made a rush for the stage once more.

Her eyes snapped open and she made a desperate grab for Five's sleeve but just missed him.

A yell caught in her throat as Vanya struck out with her bow once more, expecting them, and she watched them all get strung up in the air by tendrils of blinding white light.

She stared up wide eyed at the sight of the life being drained from their bodies and stood, panic clawing up her spine.

Caught up in the panic and the horror of them dying she shakily approached the stage side, grimacing at the brightness of the light stemming from her sister in the centre of it all.

Not even thinking properly about what might happen, she climbs onto the stage and stopped beside Vanya with tears forming in her eyes and hands still covering her ears.

She couldn't bring herself to look at the others still held in the air.

Vanya's white eyes flickered to her for a moment before locking on her as though expecting her to attack.

She opened her mouth to call her sisters name but the words got caught in her throat.

Her fingers knotted in her hair at her frustration with herself. The shere energy coming off of the woman was so intense it left her feeling dizzy, leaving a metallic taste in her mouth.

She went to put a hand out, the volume of noise feeling like it was splitting her skull, and white eyes locked onto the slight movement.

Her hand shook as she tried to touch Vanya's arm, the one holding the bow, and the blinding white in her eyes intensified as her jaw tightened.

Violet let the tears fall, feeling all of it, too much all at once, and tried to speak.

"Va- Vanya," her voice shook, barely a whimper through her crying. "Please stop."

She laid her hand on the womans forearm and her movements slowed a tiny bit. She was sure she could feel the awful tremble in her bones through the slight touch.

She didn't want anyone to get hurt. She didn't want anyone to die. She just wanted it all to stop.

As the woman began to slow down playing her violin, white eyes glistening, Violet felt the tiniest slither of relief that she was listening.

As the bow left the strings of the violin and her arms lowered, Violet wrapped her arms around the womans midsection, holding her tightly so that she could feel her body trembling.

Unbeknownst to the girl, Vanya's white eyes dimmed a tad back to her normal chestnut brown.

"Please," Violet begged against her shoulder, eyes screwed shut. "I don't want... anyone to- to die."

It took her a second to realise one of Vanya's hands had gently come to rest at her lower back before she suddenly dropped.

Violet nearly sobbed in relief when everyone fell to the floor behind her and the powers from Vanya cut off, the noise falling to a near silence as glass shattered somewhere above. She fell to her knees with her sisters body and held her head gently in her lap, trying to catch her breath from the panicked sobs wracking her body making it hard to focus.

Footsteps rushed onto the stage as she hung her head low and wrapped her arms around Vanya's shoulders, holding her close, not wanting to let her go because through it all, she still wanted her to be alright.

She tried to heal whatever was damaged but it seemed impossible to find, to understand. There was ringing in her ears as her powers ran flat, the energy in the womans body still thrusting and fighting back against anything she tried to do.

Luther trailed off. "Is she..."

Five crouched down beside her and went to put his hand on hers, but she flinched slightly and met his eyes.

"She's alive." He told the others, searching her eyes to see if she was 9kay.

Half of them sighed in relief, the other half not really knowing how to feel.

"Violet... you-" Klaus began. "How did you get her to stop?"

The siblings stared at her and she kept her head down, wanting everything to go away. She wanted everything to be okay again, not to go back to how they were but to be different and better. She wanted their eyes off of her, and her mind to stop screaming and her skin to stop crawling all at the same time.

It became clear she wasn't going to utter a word to them.

The others began talking, relieved, and she tried to swallow her emotions and heal Vanya in any way she could. She was hurting, there was something definitely wrong, something in her mind that was causing her harm but she still couldn't find it and fix it.

"Uh, guys..."

At Klauses tone she lifted her head. Everyone looked up at what he was staring at through the broken skylight.

They all went deathly quiet at the sight.

None of what they did mattered.

They were all going to die.

The moon had been destroyed, fractured like a broken mirror, sections soaring towards earth at a terrifying speed, flames beginning to light up the sky in a trail behind it.

Violet glanced between the others frantically as they all began to panic to themselves and try to accept what was going to happen.

Her eyes landed lastly on Five who was doing the same, and when he met her eyes, she felt a prickle of curiosity as his eyes lit up.

"I can use my powers, but this time I'll take you guys with me."

The others were hesitant.

"You can do that?"

"I dont know." He admitted warily.

First the others dismissed him, ready to just accept their death rather than risk his help - but he convinced them in the end as the ground began to shake from distant damage.

In agreement, Luther reached down to pick up Vanya but Violets sharp glare stopped him in his tracks.

She ignored his help and got to ber knees with her arm under Vanya's shoulders, leaning her against her side. Allison went to her side immediately and helped, taking half of the weight.

The siblings all glanced hastily at eachother and went to hold hands.

She took Five's in her free one and he met her eyes with a glimmer of surprise.

He looked just as uncertain, but squeezed her hand tightly and nodded once.

It appeared to be all the confidence boost he needed.
