Bondita wanted nothing more than to be with Anirudh again. She rushed over to his house as soon as she finished her conversation with Aansh. She wanted to finally be with him and not have anything else bothering her in the process. She was glad that the entire situation with Aansh had turned out in her favor. The only person she needs in her life is Anirudh. He is her love...he is the one she wants to be with.
Bondita cannot wait to see him. Her heart is beating with a rush of emotions as she runs towards his house. She can't wait to be back in his arms and feel the warmth of his touch. She wants to hug him tight after the separation between them. She will finally get her wish as she reaches his door. She stands there for a moment taking deep breaths to steady herself.
She knocks on his door and waits for him to open it. The wait feels endless as she feels nervous and excited at the same time. She wants to see him badly but she doesn't know how he is going to react. She hopes he is not angry with her and still finds her presence charming and intriguing.
After a minute, she hears someone unlocking the door. Her heart flutters with anticipation as the door opens slowly. She takes a deep breath and keeps her eyes closed. She wants to see him when she opens her eyes but she is also little scared of the reaction that she is going to encounter. So she waits for a few seconds before finally opening her eyes and looking at him.
The moment she opens her eyes, she finds Anirudh in front of her looking very angry. He is not smiling the way she was expecting him to and his face is showing absolute rage. She is taken aback by his reaction. She doesn't understand why he is showing so much anger when he was always so gentle and cheerful towards her. She is confused and frightened by this sudden change in him. She looks at him with wide eyes, waiting for him to say something.
Finally, Anirudh breaks the silence and speaks. His tone has completely changed from that of rage to one of deep disappointment. "Bondita..." he says while looking her in the eyes. His voice is quiet but it conveys his heartbreak and disappointment clearly.
"Why are you here now?" He asked controlling his anger
"I'm here because I want to be with you. I love you and I want to be by your side. I never stopped loving you and I never will" she says with a pleading tone. Her eyes are desperate for him to understand and believe her words. She wants him to accept her back into his life and be with him again. She can't stand this separation between them.
Their gazes held each other for a long moment as the tension and the anger slowly dissipated. Anirudh wanted to believe her words but his trust in her was shattered just a few moments ago. He felt betrayed and that she had given her heart away to another man. It was hard for him to believe that she never stopped loving him and wanted to be with him again.
Anirudh laughed mockingly. His mocking tone only fuels her desperation even more. Bondita hates seeing him laugh at her like this. It's like he wants to get back at her in some way for hurting him. She can't stand this attitude and she's close to breaking down with heartbreak. She is also feeling angry and frustrated that she is trying so hard to fix things but he is not ready to listen to her and is making light of her situation.
Anirudh? Why a-ar-----"
"Why what?" Anirudh cuts her off before she can finish her sentence. There is still anger in his voice and he seems like he wants to make her feel bad about herself. The silence between them is heavy and uncomfortable. She looks at him helplessly but he still doesn't let her say anything.
"Why are you behaving like this?" She manage to say.
"Like what? Like a man who is hurt by the girl he loves?" He asks angrily. He is not ready to accept that she is trying to rectify the situation. He doesn't want to listen to her and instead wants to let out all the resentment and anger he has been feeling towards her.
"Anirudh, it's not like that! I'm sorry for hurting you yesterday but now everything was solved between me and Aans---"
"Everything is solved between you and Aansh?" Anirudh cut her off before she could finish talking yet again. "So you two have solved the situation and you expect me to sit quietly and accept that it's all fine now?" The frustration and bitterness in his voice is evident.
"You are taking this wrong!?"
"Taking what wrong?" Anirudh's anger is flaring up again and he is not ready to listen to her. His trust in her is broken and he feels hurt by her betrayal. "Are you asking me to accept that you still have feelings for me after you confessed your love to another man?"
"No Ani, i broke up with Aansh!" Bondita finally said.
"You broke up with him?" Anirudh's eyes widen in surprise. Does he finally have a chance now? But what about them hugging with each other a few moment ago?
"Aansh and I had a conversation and we realized that we were better off as best friends. Our relationship wouldn't have worked out in the long run so we both decided to end things. We agreed that it was better to go back to being friends as we had a healthy and strong friendship before we got involved romantically." Bondita's tone is serious and rational as she explains the whole situation to Anirudh. She wants to make him understand how things have changed between them now.
Anirudh looks at her with a serious expression as he processes her words. He was confused earlier but now he seems a little relieved after listening to her. Her explanation makes sense and he can see that she is being genuine with him. He feels comforted by the fact that they are still on good terms with each other. "So you don't have feelings for Aansh anymore?" he asks for confirmation.
"No! I never did. I thought I love him but now I realises that I loved him only as a friend. I always loved you Anirudh."
"No. My feelings for Aansh are purely platonic now. I understand that we are just good friends and are better off in that role. We have no romantic feelings for each other after our conversation." She feels relieved after finally telling him the truth. Everything is in her favor now and she hopes her confession will convince him to trust her again.
"So you just came to me to let me know that Aansh is just a friend to you now?" Anirudh asks her. He seems to be believing her words and not doubting her anymore. His anger has completely disappeared from his eyes and he is looking at her with curiosity.
Bondita laughs softly at Anirudh's statement. "Well, I do have a bit more to say than that." She smiles at him and takes a deep breath before continuing. "I came over here to have a conversation with you because I need to tell you something."
"I came here to tell you that Aansh is not the person I love in my life." A little spark of hope ignites in Anirudh's eyes when he hears those words. He feels hopeful that she might say something about her feelings for him. "It was someone else's love that I have been longing for, someone whose love I have always wanted. That person is......"
She takes a slight pause before saying the words that have been on her mind for so long. The moment she utters that person's name finally comes after so much waiting. "That person is you. Anirudh, I love you. I have always loved you, right from the beginning. I tried my best to ignore it and move on, but I can't forget you and your place in my heart. So I've come here to tell you the truth. I want us to be together forever.
Anirudh is stunned quiet. He is not able to respond immediately because he is overwhelmed and moved by her confession. He has never heard someone being so genuine and raw with him. A huge smile spreads across his face as her words sink into his head. It took some time, but he finally understands how much she cares for him. He feels so lucky and fortunate that she has come back into his life, this time for good.
Anirudh walks towards Bondita and wraps her in his arms. They both are overwhelmed by emotions at that moment. It is like something straight out of a romance movie. She is the girl of his dreams and he is the only man she ever wanted. They feel so complete and whole in each others presence. Their hearts beat with a strong rhythm and they canât believe that they finally found their way back to each other.
