I was walking down the street one day, and sometimes I like to think I'll say that today will be a day of a great time in May.

I continued to walk, minding my own business, looking up at the sunset sky and sighed in pure bliss.

The trees were all orange and there was some that were brown, the grass was polished green and the sun shines bright as ever. I looked in my basket I had brought with me to make sure that I brought everything for the picnic, I was quite distracted as I accidentally bumped into someone, as I was about to

fall to my knees I felt a hand grab my arm and

Pull me up, I gasped lightly and looked up to see my good friend, Japan. My eyes widened as my cheeks flushed with slight red, I saw a soft worried look on his face as the sun above shined on his hair and glasses, glistening his eyes. I stood back up as he helped me " Japan! I-I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there " I said softly while smiling kindly. Japan's eyes softly blinked in a slow manner as he looked at me with a presumably a heartbroken face that, he

stayed silent as I reached out to touch his shoulder " Jap, are you okay? " I asked carefully with a slight worried tone. He sighed through his noise and looked away as I noticed the slight colored eye bags he had under his eyes. He fixed his round glasses as he then said " Sorry... y/n " He spoke blandly, not looking into my eyes. " What's the matter? I was coming to see you, why do you look so sad? " I asked worriedly with an open heart. He looked at me for a second before turning away

" I'm fine " He said as he indicated for me to follow him, we walked along side by side as we both stayed silent, I looked up at him from my peripheral vision and saw how dead his eyes were as he stared into the distance while walking, I sighed softly as I moved closer to him as we walked. After about 10 minutes of nothingness he spoke " So, how are you? " He asked quietly. I flinched at his sudden words as o cleared my throat " Good! Good.. I'm, fine " I giggled awkwardly. He shrugged slightly and looked back into the distance, after a few more minutes

We finally made it to his house, he grabbed out his key from his pocket, and begun to unlock his door, I watched from behind to see his beautiful plants all pretty and healthy, but as soon as he opened the door a gust of cold wind blew at my entire body, I shivered as he stepped it, I looked to see his room all dark and cold, I was a bit confused to why the inside of his house was cold and dark while the outside was welcome and warming. I stepped in as he closed the door, seeing the static electricity I felt nervousness

Fill my chest as I heard him cough, I turned around instantly with a scared expression " Sorry it's dark and cold, I don't like the light of sun much at the moment " He said blandly, I watched walk into the kitchen. The surroundings were eerie and never in my life thought anyone could live in such a condition, especially by choice. I looked around and noticed small white fog floating in the air due to the cold. I flinched as he suddenly coughed gently near my ear, I turned my head to the side and saw his cold face staring at me.

" Japan I- " Before I could yell in concern and fear he then spoke calmly " I have brought Tea, it's hot.. maybe warm.. for you " He said and handed me the glass. I thanked his as I noticed his ice tea, filled with ice as the water drops drips down slowly from the side of his cup. We sat in silence as I started shaking, he noticed my uncomfortable deafening silence, he turned to look at me " Japan what's going on with you? " I asked softly as he sighed. All of a sudden I saw him fall to the ground, landing on his knees,

Spilling his iced tea in the process. " Japan!! " I yelled in concern as I bent over on my knees beside him. He pulled away softly, I saw him then take out something from his pocket, a small little dark grey pouch, he looked at me coldly and then poured out some mysterious powder and poured it into his hands. I sat there, confused and stunned, he must've noticed my confused and concerned facial expression that I tried to hide slightly because he then softened his eyes. As I took my last breath

He unexpectedly blew the powder at me, I immediately coughed and covered my eyes, trying to sway the dust out of the air, after a few seconds I opened my eyes to see nothing but dark blue around me and Japan. I looked around, confused and intrigued, with a tint of fear, I looked back at Japan as he then whispered " I'm sorry " He whispered with a croaky voice. I was about to touch his shoulder when all of a sudden, a wave of water appeared from nowhere and circled him. I stayed still and saw a few Koi fish swimming in the

Wave of water that floated in the air around him. He looked down to his side as I saw one of the fishes nuzzle his shoulder softly. I saw his hand softly and slowly how up to offer a welcoming gesture or a gesture of interest to one the fishes. The other Koi fish swam to his hand and swam slowly across the top of the surface of his hand and then looked at him. I suddenly saw huge amounts of tears on his face, streaming rivers down his eyes. I could see the dark circles or eye bags under his eyes, how tired and upset he looked, so distressed, yet trying to keep

It together. I saw his hair softly glow in the air as I gulped, I decided to move closer and touched his knee. He looked at me with his eyes, not moving a muscle " Please tell me " I said softly. Suddenly the calm water around him begun to expand and slowly consume him, the Koi fish started to swim around him in a very panicked and swift patterns. I could see the panic and desperation in his eyes, I saw him slowly fall to his side, the water softly guiding him to the ground as the water expanded even more. My eyes

Widened in horror but I immediately shook my head  and took a deep breath, I was going to save him. I got up and took a few steps back, I then started ran full speed ahead and took a quick and dee breath and divided into the stream of water. The water was pulling me up to the surface as I saw the Koi fish looking up at me, their eyes, begging and pleading for me to swim faster, my eyebrows furrowed as I swam harder and harder, I wasn't going to let him drown. I kicked with my feet and pulled with my hands as I tried harder and harder to get myself

Lower and reach Japan. I looked above me for a second to see a bright light, the exit that was pulling me out, but I wasn't going to leave with out him. After a few desperate moments of trying harder and harder, I was losing my breath, I was about to succumb to defeat, I felt tears pour out of my eyes, thinking what would happen, would I fail to save him? Would I die trying to save him? Would we both make it out? I thought of the happy moments we had together. All those happy times and challenging ones we had faced together. I didn't want to let go or give up.

I was going to do it, all of a sudden a burst of energy burst in my chest as took one last push and grabbed his hand. I stopped fighting the current, pulling me above as I held onto him tight in my chest. We both got sucked out and went through the bright light..

I didn't know what I was seeing or what I was looking at, it was all black for a few moments. I suddenly blinked and my vision started to come back. I groaned as I got up while softly grunting. I held my forehead as I saw the reminisce of the strange powder, our tea was all over the floor.

I looked to my side and saw him still on the ground, I immediately crawled to him and held him close, he was still breathing. " Japan? " I asked softly, filled with worry. I suddenly saw his eyes open for a moment, he softly groaned as I saw him blink a couple times. " y/n? " He asked quietly. I looked at him with fear " what happened? "  He asked confused. I sighed while shaking my head, I cleared my throat " I'm very glad you're safe and alright.. but " I then explained what I saw, what he did and what happened. He seemed to remember everything

After a minute or two and took my hands. " y/n I'm so sorry.. " He said filled with guilt. I sighed with a soft smile while closing my eyes and looking at the ground " Jap, you have to promise to tell me what's going on, what's going on with you and why you did that.. I'm worried " I explained. He then sighed nodded..

It had now been an hour of talking..

" Jap I wish you would've told told me you had these feelings. I'm your friend, I'm here for you, why would you ever keep such secrets? " I asked with concern and touched hike shoulders. I saw a few tears fall down his cheeks as I gently wiped them away " I guess I felt I didn't deserve that type of help " He said as I immediately pulled him into a hug. He wasn't much of a hugger or someone who liked to show physical affection but at this moment in time he hugged back.

" Of course you do, we're friends, you're one of the kindest and smartest people I've ever met. You don't need to be so selfless all the time, your life matters too, and the only way to take care of your own life to ask for help when you need it, not bury them. You are important just as everyone else, there's no need to feel so guilty for asking for a little guidance and empathy " I smiled as he smiled back softly while a tear fell down his cheek. I then kissed his cheek, making him blush as I got up " Now lets get your beautiful place

All brightened up again, you deserve to be happy, and you deserve to feel the warmth of happiness " I said as he nodded " Thank you.. for everything " He said quietly as I turned to look at him " Don't thank you me, I just need you to let me help you " I said as he nodded. He held my hand as for the rest of the day, we brightened up his house, opened the blinds, cleaned the floor and had tea together. What a pleasant time it was to experience a joy like no other, after hardships, how wonderful it is to just rest with someone you know and care for. To embrace the strength and growth you've earned from the challenges you face..even if it left scars...
