Klaus snaps Stefan's neck for the 50th time, before speeding over to me, his hand wrapped around my throat. I gasp, wincing as he holds me a few centimeters off the ground.
"Tell me what you two are hiding Aria." Klaus demands for the thousandth time.
"I can't." I choke out causing him to drop me to the ground. I fall to my knees, gasping for breath. Damn, Klaus has a strong grip...
I cry out as Klaus kicks causing me to fly across the truck. I hit the wall hard, pretty sure my spine just broke. I lay there, softly crying in pain waiting for it to heal. Why is Klaus doing this? I thought he cared about me a little, but I guess not. Right now, I kind of just want Damon.
"Stop it Klaus, she's still just a child." Rebekah glares, running over to my side. She helps me sit up, and I have to bite my lip to keep from screaming in pain.
"I see you've grown attached to Aria. Too bad." Klaus growls, forcing me to stand up. I scream, not being able to hold it back any longer. I swear guilt flashes across his face but it's probably a hallucination from the pain. "What are you hiding from me?" I see Klaus' pupils dilate and I know he is compelling me.
"My sister is still alive. Bonnie did a spell to save her and keep her human." I tell him, not able to stop myself. I mentally scream at myself, I basically just planned my own sisters death. I didn't have a choice though. I can't resist his compulsion. Wait, I didn't tell him about the necklace though...weird.
In a second Klaus is gone, and I let out a little sob, not believing what I just did. I look over at Rebekah, tears in my eyes. "I only lied to protect her, she's one of the only family members I have left. I just wanted to keep her safe."
Rebekah nods, a small smile on her face. "I understand why you did it." she looks over at Stefan, a hurt look in his eyes.
"Don't hate him Bekah, he didn't even know you exist. Klaus made his forget you. If Klaus didn't do that, Stefan would have fought for you." I smile, hoping to make her feel a little better.
"I know." she whispers.
"I have to go, I got to try and save Elena. Even if Klaus does kill me." I say, mentally preparing myself for the shit storm I am about to get into.
"I'm not going to say good luck, I want her dead. She stole Stefan's heart from me." Rebekah shrugs, being the honest person she is. And the jealous person.
I roll my eyes, before taking off running into the school. I stop in the hallway, closing my eyes and listening for Elena or Klaus. I hear them after a moment, taking off in the direction there voices are coming from. Shit, he already found her.
I stop in front of the gym doors, scared about what's going to happen. I can't say I'm scared very much, but I'm scared shitless right now.
I throw open the doors of the gym, causing all heads to turn towards me. I frown at the two random kids in here, one standing on one foot, and the other just standing next to her. Weird... Klaus probably compelled them to eat each other or something.
"Aria." Elena smiles, a moment of joy at seeing me.
"Hey Lena." I smile back, not having seen her in awhile.
"How touching." Klaus smirks, speeding over to me. I look at him, trying not to look intimidated. "I should kill you." he states.
"But you won't." I shrug, with a small grin on my face.
"Oh really?" Klaus questions, looking amused.
"You've already beat the shit out of me and I could tell it hurt you to do it. Killing me would be like killing yourself. You won't admit it Klaus, but you care about me. In some messed up way, you do." I smirk, feeling more confident as I keep talking. I know I'm right, he does care.
Before Klaus can answer me, the girl cries out, almost falling over. Klaus looks back, grinning at the girl. "Keep it up love."
"Where's Stefan? What did you do to him?" Elena demands, glaring at Klaus.
"Stefan is on a timeout." Klaus smirks, so a timeout to him means, you have your neck snapped. God, I hope he never has a kid.
The doors open, and Bonnie and Matt walk in, looking happy. They're not going to be for very long...
"Bonnie get out of here!" Elena cries, not wanting them involved in this.
Bonnie looks stunned for a moment and Klaus takes advantage of that, blocking her way out. "I was wondering when you'd show up. Now we can get started. Eh, Dana why don't you relax, you and Chad sit tight." Dana obediently puts her leg down, Chad catching her when she falls to the floor. Really sucks to be them right now.
"I assume you're the reason Elena is still walking around alive?" Klaus seethes, even though he already knows the answer.
"That's right. If you want to blame someone, blame me." Bonnie says, trying to be all heroic and shit.
"There's no need for blame love, it's just that your witchy interference seems to have caused some undesirable side effects. Since you caused the problem, you have to fix it." Klaus explains, right as Rebekah walks in dragging...Tyler? Oh God, I haven't seen him since our fight.
"Get off me." he growls.
"Hush now." Rebekah smirks, enjoying the power.
"I would like you all to meet my sister, Rebekah. Word of warning, she can be quite mean." Klaus introduces.
"Don't be an ass." Rebekah glares playfully, pushing Tyler over to Klaus.
"Leave him alone." Elena commands, her voice cracking. That won't work Elena, good try though.
"I'm going to make this very simple, every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire-hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible actually." Klaus bites into his wrist, forcing it into Tyler's mouth. Tyler struggles against him but Klaus keep an arm around his neck, making him drink it. "I need you to find a way to save my hybrids Bonnie. And for Tyler's sake, you better hurry." Klaus grabs Tyler's chin, snapping his neck. Tyler falls to the ground, dead. Something I hoped to never say.
Matt, Bonnie, and Elena all run over to his body. Matt bends down next to him, "He killed him."
"He's not dead, Klaus' blood will turn him into a vampire." Elena explains, pacing next to them.
"And if Bonnie is successful, he'll live through his transition." Klaus adds, before looking at Bonnie. "Go on then, go fetch your grim-mores and what not. I'll hold onto Elena for safe keeping." Klaus grabs Elena's arm roughly, pulling her towards him.
Bonnie looks at Elena, asking her silently if she should go. Elena nods, giving her a sad look. Matt takes Bonnie's hand and they run out of the gym. Run away from us. I wonder if they think I'm a threat. I kind of am.
"So you're the other doppleganger." Rebekah whispers in Elena's ear causing her to jump in fright. Rebekah smirks, her eyes traveling over Elena's body. "Your sister is much prettier."
"Why thank you Bekah." I grin, liking her compliment. Most people say Elena is prettier and I hate that. Because we may be identical twins, but I'm prettier. Yup, no hate there.
"Enough you two, Rebekah why don't you take the werewolf boy elsewhere." Klaus makes it sound like a question but we all know it's not a question, it's a command.
Rebekah grins at Elena one more time before walking over to Tyler's body, dragging him towards the door.
"Ignore her. She's a petty little thing." Klaus whispers all creepy like in Elena's ear. I give him a look, causing him to roll his eyes. The look does not go unnoticed by Elena.
Great.
ââââââââââââââââ
I tap my foot on the floor, getting impatient already. It's only been like 15 minutes but I'm already so over this. The fear is gone, and replaced by pure boredom and annoyance.
Klaus glares at me, the tapping annoying him. "Sorry." I mutter, stopping right away. No need to annoy him anymore than he already is.
"I think that is the first time you've ever willingly apologized to me." Klaus says being an ass. I laugh, rolling my eyes. It kind of is the first time I think.
I look down from the bleachers and see Elena watching us with narrowed eyes. She's so judgmental. Would she rather me be trying to kill him and have him torture me in the process. No. It's better to laugh with him, then try and kill him.
The door opens, Stefan quietly walking in. He looks nervous, that's understandable though considering what Klaus can do to him for lying all this time. I think Stefan will be punished a lot worse than me.
"Stefan." Elena breathes a sigh of relief, her having thought he was dead or something.
"Klaus." Stefan calls out, shooting a hesitant look at me.
"Come to save your damsel mate?" Klaus questions.
"I've come to ask for your forgiveness, which I see you've already given to Aria, and pledge my loyalty." Stefan says, bringing me into this. I have not been forgiven. Klaus just decided not to kill me.
"You both broke that promise already." Klaus sighs, referring to our promise of loyalty to him.
"Elena means nothing to me." Stefan states, causing hurt to flash across Elena's face. "Whatever you ask of me, I will do."
Klaus looks over at me, asking me the same question. I nod, not wanting Klaus to eat me. "Very well then, lets drink on it." Klaus grins, jumping off the bleachers. He gestures to Chad and Dana, "Aria, Stefan, kill them. What are you waiting for? Kill them." Klaus commands when Stefan and I don't move right away.
"Stefan, Aria, don't. He's not going to hurt me, he already said-" Klaus brings back his hand, slapping Elena hard enough that she does like a flip in the air before landing hard on the ground. Elena screams, holding her probably stinging cheek.
Before I can stop him, Stefan growls at Klaus running at him and I don't know what he tries to do, tackle him or something. Klaus quickly stops Stefan, wrapping his hand around his throat.
"You don't care about her at all huh?" Klaus seethes. "Your lies keep pilling up."
"Let her go, I'll do whatever you want. You have my word." Stefan groans, Klaus squeezing so hard I'm afraid Stefan's neck will break.
"Your word doesn't mean much. I lived by your word all summer and in which time I never had to resort to this. Stop fighting." Klaus compels, causing Stefan to stop struggling.
"Don't do this Klaus." I beg, knowing what he is about to do.
"I don't want to, all I wanted was your allegiance Stefan, know I'm going to have to take it." Klaus growls.
"Don't." Stefan pleads.
"You will do exactly what I say, when I say it. You will not run, you will not hide, you will simply just obey." Klaus compels Stefan before releasing him. Stefan takes a step back, a broken look on his face.
"No, Stefan." Elena whispers, sounding heartbroken.
Klaus walks over to me, grabbing my hair and forcing me to look at him. "Do I need to compel you too Aria?"
"No, you already know I'm loyal to you Klaus." I ground out, his grip on my hair hurting me.
"If you are lying to me, I will kill you Arianna." he warns.
"Understood." he lets go of my hair, causing me to take a few steps away from him. At least I didn't have to be compelled to obey him all the time. I still have my free will, at least for now.
"Now you two, kill them." Klaus commands once again.
I speed over to Chad, grabbing his hair and pulling his head back. I feel my fangs coming out and I bet my eyes are blood red right now. Hopefully this is enough to scare Elena. I sink my fangs into his exposed neck, feeling the blood run down my throat. I drink into there is nothing left, throwing his body down to the floor. The sad thing is, I don't feel very bad.
"Always nice to see vampires in their natural environment, the species is such a broody lot these days." I hear Klaus say to Elena. I turn around, wincing when I see the disgusted look on her face.
"No, you did this to them." Elena argues, not able to look at Stefan or I. I look over at Stefan and see he has blood all over his face. Ugh, he is such a messy eater. Always ripping heads off and shit like that.
"I invited them to the party love, they're the ones dancing on the table." Klaus grins.
"Where is it?!" Rebekah yells, barging into the gym. "Where is my necklace?" Oh crap.
"What are you talking about?" Klaus sighs.
"She has my necklace." Rebekah seethes, handing Caroline's phone to Klaus. "Look."
Klaus zooms in on the photo, his eyes narrowing. "Well, well, more lies." I look at the floor, not liking being caught in another lie.
"Where is it?!" Rebekah glares.
"I don't have it anymore." Elena replies and I'm not sure if she's telling the truth.
"You're lying." Rebekah snarls, before biting into Elena's neck. I gasp and start to go towards them but Klaus pushes Rebekah away. I look at Elena helplessly, as she holds her bloody wound.
"Knock it off!" Klaus yells pushing Rebekah away from Elena even more.
"Make her tell me where it is Nik!" Rebekah demands.
Klaus bends over Elena, "Where's the necklace sweetheart. Be honest." he warns.
"I'm telling the truth. Katherine stole it." Elena replies, still holding her bleeding neck. Of course Kathy did.
Klaus looks at the ceiling for a moment, before standing up. "Katerina. Of course. Well that's unfortunate, if we had the necklace it would make things a whole lot easier for your witch. But since we're doing this the hard way, lets put a clock on it. Shall we?" Klaus points at the scoreboard, walking over to the control panel and turning it on. The buzzer goes off, the timer showing 20 minutes. "20 minutes, that's how long you have for your witch to figure things out. If she hasn't, then I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to." Klaus grins, commanding Stefan. Oh God...he will kill Elena then.
"Klaus, don't do this." Elena begs, looking at Stefan fearfully.
"Aria with us, no one leaves, if she tries to run fracture her spine." Klaus says, already heading out the door. I give Elena a pained look, before hurrying after Klaus and Rebekah.
I'm so sorry Elena.
âââââââââââââââââââââ
We walk into the chemistry room, I stop when I see Caroline sitting next to Tyler's dead body. I haven't seen her since I left.
She looks over at me, a fierce look in her eyes. "You are not my best friend anymore. I just thought I would let you know how I feel. My best friend wouldn't side with them. "
"No a smart girl would." Rebekah smirks pleased that I'm on her side.
"Caroline-" I start to say but she cuts me off.
"Shut up Aria. I don't want to hear your poor excuses." she snaps, pissing me off. I'm across the room in a second, kicking her chair over. She gasps, and I dig my heel into her chest, pinning her down to the floor.
"We're both vampires now Caroline, and even though you are older, I'm stronger, I've been hanging with Original's. So how about you don't piss me off anymore than I already am." I warn, removing my heel from her chest. She's up in a second, looking like she wants to kill me but she restrains herself. I smirk, knowing she's scared of me. Rebekah laughs, obviously delighted by me literally stabbing Caroline in the chest with my high heel. Yup, that's how I roll bitches.
Tyler coughs, finally waking up. Caroline runs over to him, trying to comfort him. Oh...I see why she was so pissed at me, her and Tyler have a thing now. Interesting.
"Where am I? What happened?" Tyler rambles, his eyes catching sight of me. "Aria?"
"Hey." I smile, giving him a little wave. "Don't be shy about it Care, tell him what happened. He wants to know."
Caroline glares at me for a moment before turning back to Tyler, a gentle look on her face. "Klaus is turning you into a vampire...a hybrid. You're in transition."
"Don't leave out the hard parts sweets. You'll only survive if your witch is successful, if not, you're pretty much dead." Rebekah explains, not an ounce of sympathy in her voice. Typical.
Wait...where did Klaus go? Huh, he like disappeared or something...
"You're going to be okay, okay? You're going to be okay." Caroline tries to reassure him as his breathing gets heavier. He's on the verge of having a freakout or something.
"I wonder how she is doing..." Rebekah says, talking about Bonnie and her spell. "Tick tock goes the gym clock." Rebekah smirks, holding up her phone with the timer ticking.
"So, to pass the time, I have a few questions to ask you two." I state, a grin on my face. "When did you two start hooking up? Before or after I died? Or did you even think about me?"
"Not everything is about you Aria." Caroline retorts.
"Ah, most of it is." I smirk, "Why are you a vampire Caroline? Because I pissed of Katherine. Why did Tyler leave? Because I betrayed him. Why did you two hook up? Because I was gone. If I was their Caroline, you wouldn't have ever done it. I know that. So, most things are about me actually. Should I keep going because I can?"
"What have you turned into Aria? You used to be sarcastic and just joke around, now you're just cruel."
"I was just fine until I came in here and you started getting on me? What is wrong with you Caroline?!" I fume, not understanding why she hates me so much now. She just exploded on me when I came into the room.
"What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you?! You're the one who left everybody here, for Damon. You chose Damon over all of us. I needed you, and you weren't their. You chose your boyfriend over your family and friends. You were being selfish." Caroline yells, finally telling me what is pissing her off so much.
"You call that selfish? Giving myself over to Klaus to save someone I love? Klaus has turned me into someone I never wanted to be. When I look in the mirror Caroline, I don't see me anymore. I see someone else and I hate it. I like being a vampire, sure, but being a monster, no."
Caroline seems taken back by my outburst but quickly recovers. "I know you like it Aria. You enjoy being with them. I know you better than anyone, and I know you're lying. Not just to me, but to yourself."
"I'm going to kill you!" I growl, starting to advance towards her but Rebekah suddenly appears in my way. "Move."
"Now as much as I am enjoying this, I can't let you kill her. I know what that would do to you and I don't want to see it. Killing your best friend can wait till another day." Rebekah sighs.
"She's not my best friend anymore." I say, repeating the same words Caroline did. I can't believe she is being such a bitch. What happened to my bubbly Caroline?
Klaus opens up the door, sauntering in. "The witch says the doppleganger should be dead."
"Does that mean we can kill her?" Rebekah asks hopeful. It disturbs me that she wants to kill my sister so badly.
"No I'm fairly certain it means the opposite." Klaus replies, making no sense.
"What?" Caroline says, as Rebekah pulls her back restraining her.
"Call it a hunch." Klaus mutters, "This is Elena's blood. Drink it." he holds out a vial to Tyler filled with blood.
"No, no, no! Tyler don't." Caroline argues, fighting against Rebekah. Good luck with that.
"If he doesn't feed, he'll die anyway love. Consider this is an experiment." Klaus states, looking at Tyler. "It's okay." he whispers.
Tyler hesitantly takes the vial, taking a small sip. Apparently that is enough because he grabs his chest, crying out in pain. He looses his balance sliding over the table and to the floor. He rolls around, screaming in pain. He tries to sit up but grabs his head in agony. He looks up at Klaus, fangs out, veins under his eyes, but his eyes bright yellow. Like a werewolf.
"Well, I'm pretty sure that's a good sign." Klaus smirks.
âââââââââââââââââââ
Stefan and I, let me add that Klaus compelled Stefan to turn off his humanity so now he is even more of an asshole, quietly walk into the Salvatore living room and what I see makes my blood boil.
Elena and Damon are sharing a very intimate moment, they are both gazing into each others eyes and Damon is holding her hand. I'm tempted to kill my sister right now.
"Well isn't this cozy." I comment, making ourselves known.
Damon jumps off the couch, glaring at both Stefan and I, while Elena just looks scared. Good. "What are you two doing here?" Damon demands.
"Aw, you're not happy to see me Damon, I'm hurt. But I guess Elena is filling my shoes very well." I glare, pouring myself a drink. I pour another one, handing it to Stefan.
"What are you two doing here?" Damon repeats.
"Last I checked I live here, and you see, Aria and I are a package deal nowadays." Stefan smirks, taking a sip of the drink I gave him.
"Klaus is gone but he has asked Stefan and I to keep watch on you until he returns." I explain, referring to Elena. Klaus needs to keep her safe now because he needs her blood.
"From now on, you are under our protection." Stefan grins, setting his drink down. He scoops me up, causing me to cry out in surprise, and he holds me bridal style. "By all means carry on, Aria and I are going upstairs."
I wrap my arm around Stefan's neck, winking at Damon. That's what he deserves for looking at Elena like that. Just because I told him to move on, doesn't mean he can with my sister.
Stefan speeds up to his room, throwing me onto the bed. I laugh and sit up, grinning. "I like no humanity you. You know how to get under peoples skin and they so deserved that."
Stefan leans over me, a smirk on his face. "I think I would like no humanity you too."
I roll my eyes, pushing him away from me. "I happen to like the humanity I have left." I pause for a second, "Sometimes."
"We are going to have so much fun in this town. Ready to wreak havoc Aria?" Stefan asks, a murderous look in his eyes, one I am not used to seeing from him.
"Hell yeah."
