Half a minute later, Director Chen looked at Ye Lingchen in amusement. “If there’s anything you want to say, be my guest. I’d like to see you make me look good!”

Ye Lingchen’s eyes sank slightly, albeit with a faint cold glimmer in his gaze.

He initially had no intention of voluntarily contacting Master Jiang. It would all be settled if the hospital had just cooperated in apprehending the unethical doctor, but the results disappointed him dearly.

Hospitals were the last guarantee for a person’s life. If that last guarantee was tainted in some way, Ye Lingchen found it hard to envision anything else that people could rely on.

Just as he was about to take out his phone, loud utterances were suddenly heard.

“Grandmaster Yu! Grandmaster Yu is here!”

The crowd gave way instinctively and watched as Grandmaster Yu quickened his pace.

His heart thumped wildly when he saw Ye Lingchen and his expression changed dramatically too. It really was Miracle Doctor Y!

Ye Lingchen was not someone he could forget. Back then, he even questioned Ye Lingchen’s medical skills and made everything difficult for the boy, yet it was none other than Ye Lingchen who saved his grandson.

He could never forget that graciousness.

“Grandmaster Yu!” Director Chen was also shocked. He was clueless as to why Grandmaster Yu came down, but he stood up Immediately and explained, “Grandmaster Yu, this group of people are telling lies intending to defame and slander our Metropolis Hospital. I’ve already handled this matter.”

“You’ve already handled it? How exactly did you handle it?” Grandmaster Yu saw Ye Lingchen giving him a look and understood immediately—he knew who Ye Lingchen was but chose to ask that question instead of mentioning anything about the boy’s identity.

“This person is also a doctor, and he wants to frame our hospital’s doctors. His medical ethics are corrupt and I recommend that he be barred from practicing medicine for life!” Director Chen pointed to Ye Jin and remarked righteously. “As for the others, they’re accomplices and I will get them to leave our hospital!”

“Nonsense!” The fisherman was incredibly agitated. He regarded Grandmaster Yu as his last hope and said, “Grandmaster Yu, please seek justice for me! I had foot sores and came here to get it treated, but I never expected that quack doctor to prescribe medicine that would stop my wounds from ever healing! Such a waste for me to give him two flower carps every time I come for a consultation!”

Grandmaster Yu’s expression morphed slightly. He took the black bottle from the fisherman’s hand, opened it, then sank deeper into gloominess.

He stared at it with cold eyes and asked, “What the hell is going on?”

The doctor was trembling all over and became speechless due to fear. Director Chen quickly stated, “This kind of thing is not from our hospital. Grandmaster Yu, you must not listen to their words!”

“This group of people was brought by that small-town doctor!” Director Chen pointed to Ye Jin.

Grandmaster Yu looked at Ye Jin, but subsequently heard Ye Lingchen’s saying, “He’s my father.”

Those four simple words sounded like roaring thunder to Grandmaster Yu’s ears. His pupils contracted violently, and his whole body was sent into shock.

Grandmaster Yu almost cried. He hated himself for being negligent in properly managing the hospital staff.

Seeing that Grandmaster Yu continued to remain mum, he thought that Grandmaster Yu had defaulted on the earlier statement. Seizing that, Director Chen said immediately, “Grandmaster Yu, don’t be bothered by these little things. I’ve already dealt with it.”

“SHUT YOUR MOUTH!” Grandmaster Yu snorted coldly. His cold gaze made Director Chen afraid to utter a single peep. “What grounds do you have for saying that they are making false accusations? Are you that hasty when dealing with these problems?!”

He then looked at the fisherman and said, “Don’t be nervous. Where did the doctor take this bottle out for you?”

The fisherman pointed to the drawer under the doctor’s desk.

“OPEN IT NOW!” Grandmaster Yu screamed. He could already predict the result when he saw the panic in the doctor’s eyes.

As soon as the doctor opened the drawer, everyone leaned over and gasped upon laying their eyes on it.

Grandmaster Yu’s face reddened at once. His hands shook with anger and he slapped the table in front of him.

He stared at the doctor with crimson eyes, “These medicines aren’t regular medicines from the hospital. What are you using it for? Is it to harm the patients?!”

The doctor’s forehead was covered with cold sweat and he was scared to speak.

“Have someone collect all these and hand them over to the police. Let this go to court and be tried against the law!” Grandmaster Yu sighed heavily and said.

“Don’t.” The doctor’s complexion changed suddenly and turned pale. He begged, “Grandmaster Yu, please don’t do it. I know I’m wrong. I’ll correct myself in the future and I’ll apologize to all the patients.”

As a doctor, he deliberately used drugs for personal gain, which amounted to a crime. Jail time was inevitable, and even if he was finally released, his reputation would be ruined. He would no longer be able to practice medicine and it would forever be a black stain on his name.

However, Grandmaster Yu had an ashen look and did not have a guilty conscience at all. He sneered, “Have you ever thought of the patients when you did this kind of thing? Patients are people that need our help the most, but you do this kind of thing anyway. Don’t you have a conscience? You’re a disgrace to the medical profession. Your presence in my hospital makes me feel embarrassed to face anyone in the future!

“Call the police!” Grandmaster Yu waved his hand and said after breathing out a drawn-out sigh.

“I didn’t expect that this doctor was that kind of person. I was also misled by him. I’m really sorry.” Director Chen changed his mien and immediately changed his words. There was sadness on his face, as though he was indignant.
