Jace's POV
"I heard about Carson's dream yesterday." I told Tyler the next morning. I had sneaked downstairs and heard them talking in the kitchen. Before they came up stairs I ran up them and into our room before they could see me.
Tyler glanced at me with wide eyes. "How."
I told him how and sighed. "This Darren thing is hitting him pretty hard." I said, putting my plate in the sink.
"Why do you think its about Darren."
I looked at him. "Werewolves were feeding off of me. I can't believe you of all people didn't think that."
He sighed. "I honestly didn't really think that hard into it." He said, putting his cup in the sink. "I want to go to school today. I would like someone to go with me though."
I nodded. "I'm sure Carson would love to go with you."
He smiled. "Sure." He said, walking up the stairs.
"Love you." I said, calling up the stairs after him
"Mhm, love you to."
"Its kinda sexy watching you walk up those stairs. If you don't hurry you won't make it to school."
He giggled then ran up the stairs.
I smiled and walked to the back yard to see Chelsey standing on the deck. I walked beside her and leaned against the side. After ten years me and her became pretty close. Many sleepless nights with her husband ended up with me and her talking a lot and being very good, if not, best friends.
"Your guys sex life should be illegal." She giggled slightly.
I chuckled. "Haven't gotten any in a while."
She sighed. "He's been staying up later then normal dealing with this fight and crap. Why did it have to start all over."
I sighed. "I don't know. Why hasn't he called me to come help."
"He knows you guys are trying to keep Tyler calmed down and he didn't want to bug you."
I rolled my eyes. "Carson would be fine alone doing that. Tell him if he needs my help to ask me. I will help him. In fact where is he at now. I don't have anything to do until training."
"Where he always is, in his office." She said, pointing towards the house to his office.
I nodded then kissed her cheek and walked into the house, up to Dave's office. I walked in and seen him going over a bunch of papers that looked like the letters Tyler had been getting. He gets one everyday now. His family is still against him, even after his parents called each of them. I sat down in one of the comfy chairs that sat in front of his desk. He looked up briefly before looking back down. "This is all Darren."
I looked at him, confused. "What do you mean."
"All of these letters are from Darren. They have the same hand writing. Think about it. He could try and use this against Tyler to lour him into giving up and coming to him. Look," he grabbed the few letters Darren had sent to him last time and put them together. "they have the same hand writing as the other letters he got before. Each one of them are the same."
"But I thought his parents had called them."
"They did but no one ever answered them. They just took that as a sign. They need to go to them and find out what was really going on. The only letters that doing match were the letters from his family saying they were coming to help. This could be the same family that Darren is talking about in his letters."
I nodded. "They should be here in about an hour. Tyler just left to go to school but I can get him back here within the hour. Keep those close and call his parents to come down. They need to hear this also." I got up and walked out after Dave nodded at me.
I walked into our room and seen Tyler had already left so grabbing my phone I called Carson's.
"Hello."
"Hey, you guys need to come back. Tyler's Parents are on their way now. Dave found something Tyler is going to want to hear."
"Alright we will be there soon."
I hung up the phone and walked down the stairs after hearing the door bell. I opened the door and was greeted with the smell of Vampire. Looks like Tyler's family is early.
"Um hi I'm looking for Tyler. He wouldn't by chance live here would he."
I smiled. "Yes, he's on his way back now. I'm his husband."
They blushed slightly and nodded coming in. Right behind them was Tyler's parents.
"What is so urgent." His mother asked, looking over at the two people standing there.
"Well, first off, Dave found something in the letters, second off," I pointed to the two people standing there, looking around, "That is I'm guessing Julian's family."
They both looked at them with wide eyes.
Tyler's dad looked at them. "Jackson, Melany?" he asked.
They nodded and smiled. "Brother, its so nice to see you." Melany said, walking up and giving him a hug.
They walked away talking and I sighed, glad it wasn't awkward.
"Whats going on?" Tyler asked, running in the door.
I rolled my eyes. "Your aunt and uncle are here but the ones you have never met and your parents are here. They just walked up to Davids office."
He nodded and ran up the stairs.
Carson walked in almost right after. "What did he find."
"Come find out." I said, walking up the stairs.
He followed me up and into his office, shutting the door behind him. I sat on the couch next Tyler and pulled him on my lap just as Carson was sitting down.
"Alright," Dave started, "I was looking through these letters Tyler had been getting and started to comparing them to the ones before and noticed that the only that didn't match his hand writing was the letters from Jackson and Melany. Which means he's probably anticipated that we hadn't kept the letters from before and would never find out that he is just playing us."
"Wait so that means my family isn't fighting against us?" Tyler asked, perking up a bit.
Dave nodded. "Yes, but I would feel more comfortable getting a hold of them somehow to make sure. Knowing Darren though he would want them to write their own letter just to cover all his tracks. But I'm betting the latter." He said, sitting back.
"I can do that." Melany said, sitting up. "They will answer to me. Probably more then they would my brother."
"Ya but what about my moms side. We have no way of knowing how to get a hold of them besides calling."
"Me and Dave thought we could go up there. Figure out a way to get them to talk. I'm sure her family is still where they were."
"That is very true. Or I could even have Darla call up there. They still talk to her," my mother said.
Tyler sighed. "Well at least I won't be decapitating heads." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes. Me and Carson chuckled, shaking our heads. We heard the convo between them. It was pretty sexy. I had wished we seen it instead of just heard it.
"Well I'm going to go eat. I'm starving." I said, getting up and walking downstairs.
Tyler and Carson stayed up there talking to his family. It was kinda nice knowing they were here to help even though they didn't approve of his parents being together.
"You know," Carson started, "It's kinda nice knowing that by the end of the day you always have family to go to, whether your human or not."
I chuckled. "Where is Tyler?"
He rolled his eyes. "Having a sleep over with every women in the pack. They are all gushing about him being pregnant."
I chuckled and rolled my eyes. "Go to bed." I pulled him against me then laid my head on the bed and sighed. I didn't realize how tired I was until I laid in bed.
Carson absentmindedly played with the ring on my finger while I went further and further into unconsciousness.
"I love you." I heard him whisper just before I fell completely asleep.
