Jace's Pov
"I got everything in order. All we need now are the kids to meet there. I'm sure once they get close enough Darren will feel them. They all need to mate first though." Carson said, scrunching his nose in distaste.
I smiled and kissed the top of Tyler's head who was asleep on my lap. "We have no choice anyway. I still want to know how they found their mate so fast though."
Carson stretched out on the couch we were sitting on in our room and laid his head on my lap before taking Tyler's hand. "Are kids are special. We knew that before they were conceived. Should have known they would find their mates early."
I nodded and sighed, laying my head back on the back of the couch. "I'm trying not to think about our kids not being innocent by tomorrow but I can't."
Carson chuckled. "Thats wrong." He said looking up at me. "But I can't either." He reached over and grabbed his drink off the table. "Thats why alcohol is my best friend right now." He said, chugging his beer.
I chuckled, startling Tyler making him move around before falling back asleep with his head resting on my shoulder. I smiled at that, loving the feeling of his soft breathing against my neck.
"He's been stressing himself out a lot." Carson said, staring at Tyler.
I nodded and sighed, bitting my lip. "I know but hopefully this will be all over soon."
"What do you think of James?" Carson asked the question I had been waiting for all day. I had been thinking about it all day if I had liked him or not but I realized it didn't matter. I had no say in the matter even if I was his father. His wolf was the one so I didn't matter. But to be honest I did like him. Watching them all day today he reminded me of Carson when I had first found them walking up to me at the mall.
"You like him." He said, scrunching his nose up again making me chuckle again.
"He reminds me of you." I said, leaning my head towards him. "When we first met you were always acting like the adult. I think it had to do with your teacher nature."
Carson chuckled. "He does act like that, don't he."
I smiled and nodded. "Ya but he's stuck with the boys for the rest of his life, someone needs to put them in place."
Carson nodded. "Ya now I just feel bad for him."
I smiled. "At least he got past the diaper stage. How many times did we walk in and find them naked. Should have known then they were going to be mates."
Carson chuckled. "Of course, they take after you. How many times did me and Tyler walk in finding you naked?" He asked, looking at me with his eyebrows raised.
I rolled my eyes and pushed his head away lightly. "Shut up that was so long ago I can't even remember plus I was 18 hadn't even gotten the alpha title yet so how is that fair."
Carson laughed. "Hard to believe you act more like the man in our relationship yet I'm the oldest by 130 years."
"Haha that actually looks better on me then it does you." I smirked, looking at him.
He flipped me the bird, making me laugh, and turned away, laying his head back on my lap. "I do seem to remember being top during our mating."
I shrugged. "I still topped Tyler so it doesn't matter." I smirked. "We should probably change the subject wouldn't want to wake Tyler." I looked at Carson who was looking away with red cheeks. I chuckled and started stroking his hair.
"Are we really going through with this tomorrow. I mean we could still wait for him to come to us."
I sighed, closing my eyes. "I'm tired of us not having time to enjoy our life. Our kids are gonna be out of the house soon now that they have their mates and I really don't want to have them in danger with someone as nuts as Darren trying to kill them everywhere they go. The soon we get this out of the way the better."
Carson nodded. "I'm just don't like the idea of using them as bait. What if something happens to them."
I shook my head. "Nothing will. They have been learning to control their powers and now that they are mated their wolf as well as their powers are going to be ten times stronger. Nothing will happen to them."
Carson nodded.
"Plus we are gonna be right there with them if something does happen. Plus an entire pack ready to destroy anything that threatens them. They are going to be fine."
Carson sighed. "Ya, I guess." He said, grabbing his phone when it started going off. "Hello." He asked, answering, putting it on speaker.
"Carson, it's Dave. Ivan just spotted some rogues outside of the border. They are asking for all three of you."
Carson looked up at me then sighed. "Take the to the cages we will be there in a minute." He said, hanging up.
I shook my shoulder gently and brushed Tyler's hair from in front of his face. "Baby, wake up we have a problem."
Tyler groaned, opening his eyes. "What?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.
I smiled and kissed his forehead. "A couple of rogues want us."
Tyler sighed. "Can't it wait until morning." He said, laying his head back on my shoulder.
I smiled. "Sorry baby we don't want them here over night."
Tyler sighed. "Carry me." He said, wrapping his arms around my neck.
I wrapped his legs around my waist and lifted him up before following Carson out of the door and down to the cages in the basement. Two war wolves were standing next to the iron door, looking like they just went to war. "What happened?" I asked, stopping in front of them.
"They didn't want to come to the cages." He said, shrugging. "Alpha Dave knocked them out but they are awake now." He opened the doors for us.
I nodded and walked through them with Carson behind me and walked over where Dave and another war wolf was standing, looking better then the other two.
"They haven't said anything except that they wanted to talk to you. I asked them if they knew Darren but nothing."
I sat Tyler on the ground and chuckled when he leaned against me.
"Hey, wake up." Carson yelled, beating on the cage bars.
They both jumped and looked up.
"Do you have any idea what time it is?" He asked.
"We had to leave at night. If he found out we left he would have killed us." One of them said, hugging the other.
"Who would have killed you?" I asked, walking over to Carson.
"Darren."
"What's your names and how do you know Darren?"
"I'm Sharron and this is Annabelle. We were kicked out of our pack and Darren found us. Said we had an advantage but he always used us for other things." She said, closing her eyes. "We had to get out before he really hurt us."
Carson sighed and looked over at Dave. "Let's them out they aren't a threat." He said, stepping away from the door. Dave came forward and opened the door but neither one of them moved.
"We are going to hurt you in fact I'm going to heal you. But we want more answers and everything you know."I said, keeping Tyler behind me incase it was a trap.
Annabelle looked up at Sharron who smiled and nodded. They both stood up and walked to the door. I took both their hands and sent a blast of power through them and soon the cuts and bruises started healing everywhere.
"Take them to a room but guard it. We will talk more in the morning when everyone isn't so tired." Carson told Ivan who nodded. He helped them both out of the door as Dave walked over to us. "You think that's a good idea?" He asked, crossing his arms.
"I will put a barrier spell around their room to make sure they can't get out and no one can get in. Darren is going to be pissed in the morning when he finds our his toys are gone if what they said is true. We need to make sure we are heavily protected in case he decides to attack before we are ready. I will tell Charlie to make sure he has double to wolves making rounds. If anyone comes up to our packs lines I don't care if they are human they are to be checked out."
Dave nodded. "Alright. I will have the Omega's make some food for them and make sure they are comfortable."
I nodded. "Alright let's go to bed. Looks like we are going to have a long day tomorrow." I picked Tyler up who was still leaning against me. "Let's go to bed, baby." I said, as he laid his head on my shoulder and nodded.
